Featuring great views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Konanso boasts natural hot spring baths and large Japanese-style rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Wonderful experience here during our 2 nights stay. Well looked after by the staff who were exceptional from check in all the way through to when we were leaving. Great with two kids whom are 3 year old and 9 months old. Thank you so much for the memorable stay.

Peacefully situated on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi in the scenic Mount Fuji area, Japanese-style hot spring hotel Kasuitei Ooya features rooms with stunning lake views, some boasting a private... The hotel is exceptional, we booked the traditional Japanese room, with tatami floor and breakfast and dinner. The onsen/hot baths were very pleasant (we only used the ones on the top floor), and even booked the private onsen at a fee, so we can enjoy privately as well. The dinner was amazing, and definitely a highlight of our trip.

Boasting views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi for all rooms and hot-spring baths, Hotel Asafuji provides air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms with a green tea set. We stayed as a group of seven and everything was wonderful from start to finish. The kaiseki dinner course and breakfast were truly exceptional experiences — absolutely something everyone should try at least once. The hotel staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the level of service was top-notch. I also noticed that assistance was available in several different languages, which was very impressive. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel also has an onsen, which was perfect for relaxing after a long day. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. This was an exceptional stay. While the onsen doesn't offer a direct view of mount Fuji, we could clearly see it on our drive over thanks to clear skies. When we entered the premises, the staff was attentive immediately. From taking our luggage to making sure we were set up in our room. The room was SPACIOUS, with a lounge area and bedroom with screens to close off sections. The highlight was having our own outdoor bath to enjoy during cold winter nights. Perhaps the most breathtaking aspect of our stay were the meals. We were blown away by our dinner. It was the best thing we ate during out entire trip in Japan (we were in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto prior). We enjoyed a sumptuous parade of dishes that really showed off the local ingredients. We didn't think it could get better, but breakfast the next day was equally, if not more, delicious. While expensive, we enjoyed a serene getaway with our private outdoor bath and excellent meals. Would love to return.

We loved this place! Staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Google translator helped us to communicate. It's a hotel with traditional Japanese rooms with futons and shared bathrooms. I would recommend booking with breakfast and dinner! The food they prepared was delicious. To hotel is just a short walk away from the lake with the most beautiful view onto Mt Fuji. The hotel had plenty of parking and the whole building was spotless. We loved our stay there and would absolutely come back

My mum and I stayed for two nights in this hotel and it was a wonderful stay. As we got off the bus the wonderful owner came and greeted us and welcomed us with tea and check in instructions. We were fortunate enough to have clear sky and the reflection on the lake of Fuji San is incredible. The room had the most amazing view of Fuji San, space, comfort and amenities. The lake location has two small cafe/restaurants that we visited. We also had one dinner in the common area, as the restaurants close early, again with an amazing view.They also sell drinks and snacks/ramen in reception too. The onsens are open until late and are very wonderful. A gorgeous panoramic 1 hour hike can be found 5 minutes walk from the hotel. All in all the stay was very lovely, the most memorable take away has to be the kind staff who were lovely to chat too, attentive and kind. The owner, a wonderful man who made us feel most welcome in his hotel. Would love to visit again.

The location, lodgings, staff and everything was fantastic. All things were perfectly explained in English and the staff is very approachable and kind. We had a great stay.

Honestly the best hotel i have stayed in Japan. After calling him via the Kawaguchiko information counter, the owner will pick you up from Kawaguchiko Station bus stop 10. He is very friendly and kind. He carried the spirit of Japanese culture very well. There is onsen for both men and women. Amazing water and heat. The location is amazing, able to see Mt Fuji on a clear day from the hotel lobby and my hotel room. For Muslims, the Kawaguchiko Masjid is just opposite of the hotel within a min walk. If you want to go to the sightseeing bus or back to the station, the bus stop (no.5) is nearby @ Kawaguchiko Herb Hall. Overall, cute and cozy place and the owner is very friendly. He suggested and literally don’t mind sending us to Oishi park to see the beautiful park with Mt Fuji view.
