The Hotel Mediterranean Palace is part of the Mare Nostrum Resort complex located near Camisón Beach in Playa de las Américas, Tenerife.

Fantastic stay , hotel is clean, comfortable bed. Pool is huge, central with all amenities around it. Staff very helpful and breakfast staff always smiling. Hubby broke his ankle a couple of days before our stay and they accommodated us with a room near to everything as I requested. Great access straight outside to some lovely restaurants and shops . Beach is beautiful just a walk straight out the back gate to watch the sunset Nice gym, small charge to use it but didn't bother me, plenty of space in there to work out. Good entertainment, great live music. Will definitely book again, one of our best holidays apart from a broken ankle 😂

FAQs about hotels in Playa de las Americas

A Year-Long Party

The undisputed Tenerife party capital, Playa de las Américas is a year-round resort of sun, sand and sizzling nightlife. At the foot of volcanic mountains stretching up to Mount Teide, its long beach is made of imported golden sand. Tenerife’s natural beaches, such as the one in northern Puerto de la Cruz, are actually black sand.

Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas' neighbors, also have golden beaches, and all are lapped by warm, turquoise waters. Water sports are always popular here, and the area features Siam Park with its hair-raising waterslides, rapids and a host of swimming pools. There’s even a wave pool where you can surf!

Outdoor pools are also found at the Playa de las Américas accommodations on Booking.com, including 5-star resorts, cheap hotels and self-catering apartments. Aqualand has yet more flumes and pools, as well as a dolphinarium.

Dolphins and whales can also be spotted on boat trips along the coast. Other activities include Golf Las Américas, the Canaries’ largest golf course.

But it’s what happens after dark that’s the biggest draw. The Patch complex has family-friendly bars with food, while the bars, clubs and casinos of the Starco shopping center and Verónicas strip only really get hopping after midnight.

If you are trying to find a place for younger people, it's the place to go, but be aware that it gets quite dangerous at night. To add, it is full of British people, and you basically don't find anything local, and everything is overpriced. To fully experience Tenerife, I recommend you to stay somewhere else than Playa de las Americas or Costa Adeje.

We loved the location plenty of bars and restaurants.

We loved the location plenty of bars and restaurants. The area around the veronicas could do with more cleaning, there was quite a lot of litter and tabs ends everywhere and the seating areas all looked mucky and sticky

A bit far out from the center for me. It was quite. I would probably choose a little closer to the center. The beaches I saw i did not like stoney water was rough. I'm told their are better beaches in the areas.

20 minutes from the airport by taxi.

20 minutes from the airport by taxi. Good selection of family hotels. Highly recommend Siam Water Park for all ages. Tidal pool at the end of P. Orinoco has fish in it and there is a long promenade that offers great views of the sunset. Avenue Las Americas has a good shopping area, selection of bars, mini golf, playground and street entertainers. Short walk through a small mall (via Avenue Francisco Andrade Fumero) to surprisingly cute Playa de las Vistas, which has a range of cheaply priced restaurants (and McDonalds) overlooking the sea and nice promenade walk. On a pedestrian walkway between P Chinyero and Luis Diaz de Losada, there is a great selection of cheap back-street pubs (Scottish, Irish, British, Spanish run) with music and all sporting channels. Avoid Mrs Miyagi (on Avenue Rafael Puig Lluvina) for food, looks great but tasteless over-priced tiny portions, instead opt for the traditional and cheaper old fashioned Chinese restaurants on the side streets. Avoid Avoid Avoid the Veronica's area which unfortunately is now occupied by brothels and open drug dealing. If you book a hotel is this area, you will not sleep with the noise from the local clubs.

Central location & nice beaches all in easy walking distance. We had two very nice meals out. One restaurant on corner plot opposite Parc Santiago IV Hotel - Pasta y Vino and the Garibaldi Restaurant (more fine dinning/special night). There was a pianist playing, which set the ambiance. Staff we very professional and friendly.

Maxi and scenographic hotel where find a very good service (extra ones, like room service not too expensive either). Very funny pools and very good buffet (both at breakfast and at dinner). The hotel is directly on the beach. In the beach (which I remember not being owned by the hotel but it is a free beach) you can find free umbrellas and deck chairs. The position is good. The balcony is very usefull. Despite the negatives mentioned below a good hotel mainly for services

The room was very spacious and the beds were big and comfy. The pool area was lovely and sutiable to all. The staff were really pleasant throughout the stay, breakfast had a great variety to choose from. Included was access to the spa, gym which was a great option to have. The location of the hotel is perfect for travelling to all areas within southern Tenerife.

Liked the house very much. Sitting in the sun in the morning was lovely. The cleaning staff was really nice. The lobby staff were ok but not very nice. Our flight was late and when we came on sunday in the evening at 21 o'clock we could not get anything to eat or drink on the hotel. But we had paid all inclusive for all 5 of us for sunday and all the other days.
