Our garden room was spacious, comfortable, tastefully designed and spotlessly clean in a peaceful courtyard setting with a continental breakfast provided too. If I had to suggest anything it would be the addition of an individual armchair. Otherwise, perfect.

I did not stay in Bedale as I booked but when I looked for hotel it was several miles from Bedale so as I did not like the room I visited Richmond instead. A lovely market town where I bought fish and chips and ate them in the market place in the sun. Would recommend Richmond

Nice little main street.
Nice little main street. Couple of shops, and able to get essentials. Quite a few pubs and lovely walk along the river for us, the kids & the dog. The only thing we missed was a pub with a garden outside for the kids to run around in & a swing slide. We couldn't find one in Bedale.

A nice village for essentials but no family type pubs for eating. most pubs etc closed for food at 7-00pm which is no good after a day out further afield or after swimming at tea time. the leisure centre was lovely, clean and reasonably priced.
The room/bathroom was very clean and tidy, with a good shower. Good breakfast (full English) portions could do with being a little bigger, but they are not a show-stopper. the lunchtime and evening meal menu are excellent and worth a visit alone, very good value for money. The staff were excellent throughout our stay and helped us out as we needed to work during on stay.
Overall a very nice little hotel and great value for money.
The location on a farm ground is very convenient . Fresh eggs are daily available. The cottage ( Orchard ) is nicely decorated and well equipped. The car is parked in the court. You can sit outside in the inner court. Shops are in Bedale. The hosts are very friendly and the dogs curious. We had a very pleasant stay.
Concerning York. You can park the car on P+ R and the the bus
to the center.
A super apartment, well equipped and very clean. It is located in a quiet very pleasant area and very close to Bedale main street. The owner Matty, whilst not present was on hand to assist with any issues if required. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
