Gorgeous beach! Quiet road but easy to get to since we rented a car. Quite far from town so those that don’t have a car might find it tough/expensive to get to town. Great place for a staycation though if you pick a nice hotel.

I love the entire look of the place, the vibe, the facilities (we could use the facilities at the sports centre for free too!) The staff were super friendly, and they were willing to offer assistance at any time. We were allowed early check in and late check out because of our flight arrangements. They also addressed us using our names all the time, which was really nice because it means that they care and remember our names. A tranquil enclave surrounded by rain forest, with modern amenities and very friendly staff, with nature as it’s backdrop and constructed with responsible use of resources/materials make it a 5 star resort without equal in Langkawi. The remoteness has its disadvantages. It’s quite far from the nearest township and so guests will have to rely much on the items provided at the hotel itself which can be quite pricey. Will definitely return!

The location was gorgeous, the staff were so polite, considerate and attentive to every little detail. The rainforest room was amazing, in a secluded spot amongst the rainforest trees, so spacious and luxe inside. We 100% will be returning to the Datai and recommend it to our friends.
