The Kelpies are a must to see both day & night.
The Kelpies are a must to see both day & night. We also ate at a few local restaurants… Cafe Corvina (Italian) Sanam (Indian) Central Perk (British for breakfast) We were also recommended the Tea house (Chinese) but didn’t have time to eat there due to a short stay.

The Falkirk Wheel & Kelpies is well worth a visit. The Boat Trip on the Wheel is good, however you can actually walk the boat route by footpath & it is actually better seeing it from the footpath as photo opportunities are better. The lighting in the Canal Tunnel is IMPRESSIVE.

Stayed over one night - Kelpies and Wheel was beautiful and fasciniating. Town obviously industrial - was difficult to find a good take-out and. I’m sure during a longer stay we might enjoy more attractions and find our way around a bit better.

Parking is secure and excellent. The hosts live in the adjoining property, so are easy to speak to if you need anything. The welcome pack, which included milk and fresh orange juice, was very welcome. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

From the word go we were greeted with a warm welcome and when we left it was like leaving friends. The room we stayed in had a 4 poster bed, a wonderful little on suite bathroom, plenty of tea and biscuits and lovely views of a sunset over the beautiful Scottish hills. No. 54 is in an excellent location near town centre, The Kelpies and The Falkirk wheel. We can not wait to re-visit when we travel to this region again.
