Great find along the bank of the River Clyde. Basic room but well equipped and very clean. Man who checked us in was very helpful and explained everything. Near to the historic centre and opposite Lidl supermarket.
Recommend eating at Spicycurry Nepalese restaurant behind the bus station.
The Waverley steamer also runs tours from just outside!

Greenock has a good selection of supermarkets and shops together with an inviting waterfront along which to stroll.
Enjoyed our trip on the paddle steamer Waverley. Found Greenock a friendly place to visit with a selection of shopping outlets mostly within a short walking distance.

The accommodation was spacious, well-equipped and very comfortable. We had travelled to Greenock for the funeral of a close relative and we found this to be a true haven where we could rest and enjoy a modicum of tranquility before travelling home again.

I work in Greenock but stayed at the Waterfron to attend an event at the Alabany due to the train strikes that week. My room was a student room next to other occupied student rooms so I could hear a lot of noise from the next room - radio, someone talking loudly on his phone. The worst part was the lack of hot water in the shower. I asked the manager about this and he said it was an issue with the water pressure. He said he would fix it but it still didn't work on the second morning of my stay.

The room had a musty, sewage smell when I entered, it was not clean, cups dirty, bits of noodles on floor. Only one sachet of coffee, cobwebs on roof round edges. Toilet small and smelly of something maybe sewage and damp. Never slept well, actually if had somewhere else to go I would have left at 2am in morning. Positives, view was amazing but that was it.

As I was born in Greenock. It is quite different now. Shopping area very small, some good stores but like many other town centres at the moment. Signs of a lack of financial imput, however still adequate to find what you may be looking for.
Beautiful apartment in a great location in Greenock close to shops ect.. noticed was a busy road but in the apartment you can't hear a sound from outside...
The apartment was just absolutely beautiful and definitely alot bigger than I expected...one thing that would be great in the apartment tho would be a tumble dryer or airers for when your staying longer than just a couple of days apart from that I didn't find a single fault with the apartment anyone looking at going to the area I would definitely recommend staying here.
I had trouble finding this hotel as I'm not from Scotland I followed the sat nav to the postcode but still cudent find it so I called the hotel and was directed right to the door the gentleman who directed us also waited outside the hotel in clear view very helpful then booked us in took us to our room showed us around and also put the heater on welcum biscuits with tea and coffee room was very clean I wud like to thank the gentleman who saw to us as was very helpful and a delight to talk to thank you.
The staff is what I judge in a hotel as it's greatest asset. The Tontine staff is without equal. Courteous, attentive and knowledgable. The food was great and the service quick. The room was plenty spacious and the entertainment center (TV) supplied much of my information for my visit. There were plenty of power outlets for charging my electronic devices, and the hotel internet served me well.
Absolutely immaculate throughout with everything we could possibly need for our stay-the literal meaning of a home from home. Will 100% be booking here for our next stay and won’t be paying the same money for a cramped family room in a hotel. Special thank you to the host for getting someone out so quickly first thing on a Saturday morning to solve a minor issue with the electric meter!
It was in a great area, close to train station, town and river. Huge rooms , tastefully decorated. lovely comfortable beds. Great kitchen with all the dishes and cooking utensils. It ended up 4 of us stayed there and we had ample room. We even had guests for dinner and the table extended with room for six. Also had a washer/dryer that we used several times . Overall it was wonderful.
Just what I needed to get some rest between visiting family and friends in Greenock. The small shared kitchen area with microwave and fridge was a pleasant surprise. The location has close access to buses, trains, shops, etc, but the accommodation itself is on a nice, quiet street. Danny the host was very friendly and I was very comfortable staying there. Thank you!
Hotel as expected. Staff very obliging. Plenty of free parking. Breakfast better than expected. Good value but still expensive for what you got. Greenock has a shortage of hotel bed spaces of all sections of the market and this is reflected in prices generally.
Location and facilities were great. Easy access to local amenities and within walking distance of most area such as restaurants, train station etc. My sister lives in Greenock and her apartment was a very short walk away which made it very handy.
Decent Hotel, if furniture a tad tiired. Nice outside terrace and good location with parking.
Breakfast hit and miss. Potato scones fried until too hard to cut with knife, and tiny eggs.l But plentiful and reasonably priced.
Up to Glasgow for eye surgery ferry off so needed place to stay the guy was great explained where to eat and there was a kitchen to use brilliant much better than travel lodge and John was the icing on the cake
Great upper level flat right around the corner from the train station. It had most everything we needed for an exceptional 2 week stay. Would use this property again if we were staying in the area
Didn’t have breakfast, lovely area to stay, easy access to all amenities in Greenock, peaceful at night time, lovely views all around the area, Great value, good secure complex
It was cheap for a last minute deal, near the waterfront and mostly clean. We had breakfast to go, which was nice... would have welcomed some jam for the croissant maybe
