Great value for money for a one night stay. Convenient location for walking into Kendal town centre. Staff were helpful and friendly. Wonderful vegetarian breakfast. Nice to have a small bottle of water in room too. Also not very often you actually have conditioner in the bathroom so that was nice

The town of Kendal is great and this flat is well located to access the town centre etc.
I was disappointed with my accommodation as a very poorly equipped kitchen, poor water pressure in kitchen sink, tacky decor and bizarre unintelligible smart door handles.

Kendal has lots to offer visitors and is an ideal place to stay, away from the crowds in the central Lakes. Lots of walking accessible by good public transport, avoids taking the car and trying to find somewhere to park. Plenty of shops and places to eat, especially Corner 124 where you can enjoy an excellent meal.

Although Kendal was not the most picturesque of the towns we visited in the Lake District (the competition is stiff), it still had a lot of charm and no shortage of good shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés. It made an excellent base for seeing the Lake District on public transport. We arrived by rail in late October and used Stagecoach buses for the duration of our stay. The buses were clean, comfortable and reliable, with charging points on the buses. The bus network was very easy to use, with the option to buy tickets and get bus times through the Stagecoach app.
A very warm welcome on arrival and this warm welcoming stayed throughout the four days of the trip. Easy access to the room which was cosy and the bathroom was very clean, the shower setting worked well. black out curtains where another bonus to the room.
All the staff from morning to evening where polite and friendly, enjoyed the conversation with bar staff and kitchen staff about the local area.
Internet connect worked well, specially for the seclusion of the pub. Three miles from Kendal which is a easy and simple drive to the local town.
The location was good for getting into Kendal or onward to Windermere area, nice views. Staff were friendly thought menu slightly expensive maybe should have cheaper bar menu variation. Used the taxi firm on key fob to go into Kendal for excellent Thai meal and they were very prompt both going and coming back with reasonable price.Top floor would be struggle for anyone with mobility issues as very steep climb. All in all nice stay enjoyed the bar
Everything! Comfort of beds, staff were excellent and nothing too much trouble, fab shower, spotlessly clean, lovely soft towels, entertainment every night (unexpected). Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Come out of Kendal Station and it is situated right opposite. Just fabulous base for us. Well done guys with first class customer service xxx
Just back from a perfect weekend meeting up with family in the riverside hotel, we had 2 dogs with us who were made very welcome. Staff were friendly & helpful, breakfast buffet was great & we dined in the hotel both nights & the food was excellent.
Will definitely be going back, very relaxed & chilled out & excellent location
The property was set back off the road which meant the rooms were lovely and quiet. The room was spacious and the bed was so comfy.
The location was perfect with quite a few local walks for you to start right in Kendal without having to drive.
Breakfast was lovely the next morning and staff couldn’t do enough for you.
Location next to a lake as well as right next to a motorway stop with shops and restaurants was very convenient for our family.
Stunning view of lake from all the hotel rooms.
Extremely friendly reception & staff.
Bonus discounted food vouchers for the Costa & Macdonald’s next door was a bonus.
The location is very suitable for driving and is just next to the main road leading to Kendal. The hotel is situated next to a farm shop and surrounded by green pastures. The staff are very friendly, and pets are welcome. The restaurant is amazing, and source local produce for the food and beverages.
The apartment was very clean, comfortable and well provisioned - a proper home and in a lovely area of Kendal. We enjoyed the short walk up to the castle to look at the sunset and the park opposite. The hosts left a lovely loaf of fresh bread and milk. All in all a great stay and we’d return again.
location was lovely and very convenient to travel to kendal and surrounding areas. Easy access. McDonalds, Costa and WHSmiths on site. the view was very nice. This place could be a lovely hotel if it was upgraded and had a breakfast room - of this was the case we would be happy to visit again.
The location was good, close to Kendal town centre. Plenty to do the area. The evening meal was really nice and the breakfast was good with plenty of choice. It was great it had a swimming pool, were you could relax before dinner.
Great location - very quiet but easy short walk into Kendal and also very good location for getting into the Lakes. Very comfortable and warm and had everything needed for a short or longer stay. All great
