They didn't tell me that there were no rooms available. When I arrived at the front desk then they told.me that they had booked me to another apartment next door. The apartment is very dirty and unsafe.
And then they wanted to pay upfront, even though I had no room to check into.

Nadi is a local town and not all tourists. There are many shops and you can usually find supplies for drinks, snacks, souvenirs, clothing, towels, bags, shoes etc etc
In addition to this there is a local cafe on the top floor of the mall building at the north end of the main street that has the best food in Fiji. Very un assuming but holy moly, best dosa I have eaten!
Craft market has pushy sellers. This is never unexpected though in this setting. Fruit market is quite an interesting walk.

Spent our time between the two Hiltons and rented a car to explore Fiji.
We were lucky with the weather and found everyone very polite and helpful.
Taxis were/are a good choice and make sure you ask someone what the cost should be as I was able to reduce the cost by half by knowing what the suggested rate was vs what they asked, it only happened once as the other drivers were all very realistic.
Having a kitchen in one of our rooms was helpful and allowed us to set our own schedule to match our times and cost.

Nadi should only be considered as a transit stop or somewhere where you might stay for a day or two before going to other parts of Fiji. If you don't want to go far from Nadi then consider a stay at Denerau which is 20 minutes away and a has a marina for access to the islands and outdoor activities. Denerau is more of a resort location.

Don't stay at this place.
Don't stay at this place. Took my jewelry while going to swimming pool. Checked out next morning to go to another destination and realized my jewelry was missing. My bad but at the same wasn't expected that. No lockers in the rooms. No privacy. You simply get what you pay for. Did make a phone call but still waiting for a call back and it's more than 2 months

We were there for a week.
We were there for a week. Hired a car to go around Fiji main island. One -two days are good enough for Nadi. Suva and Lautoka are the main two big cities in Fiji. Both the cities are well connected to Nadi with AC buses. Lautoka is an hour away. It takes 3-3.5 hours to reach Suva.
In Suva one must visit Fiji Museum and President's Palace guard. Nice waterfront to spend an evening.
Rakiraki has a few nice resorts. Most of them offer great water activities.
All islands are well connected with Nadi via ferry and flight. Prior booking is highly recommended.
Such a wonderful stay as a solo female traveller for a couple of days. Aida the general assistant was incredible and took me out to town and gave me a mini tour of Nadi. Although the food is pricey compared to in town, everything tasted incredible from a very young chef on her own. The hotel was quiet and everyone from the security guard to the cleaner took time out of their day to learn my name and were very welcoming. A great start to my month of travelling in Fiji, highly recommend!
Included breakfast was cereal, fruit, toast, donuts one morning. I think you could pay for other options.
Dinner was BBQ and salads one night. The other night we just had bar snacks.
Hammocks we're very comfy.
Member of staff Latou (probably spelt wrong) was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel tried hard with entertainment but the live band was just one man singing
Another night they had Fijian singing and it was beautiful.
Not much, we booked for a night in between flights and booked on location and price (although still expensive hotel - like all hotels in Fiji). Arrived in morning and staff were asleep on matress in reception room - had to wake them up to check in. Hotel very run down and we thought had closed but seemed to be operational but seemed more as a short-term stay with hourly rates - can only imagine the reason why.
We went into with our NZD to the hotel cause it was our first time in Fiji. We try to make payment but they did not accept overseas cash only Visa card. We came into a conclusion of understanding they can hold on to our nz $100 and we can excachange the money the next day and make payment when everything open. They were so kind and even updated us about pick up service shuttle was very handy.
The welcoming at the watch house at the marina. I liked how I was presented with a shell necklace. Long time this welcoming gesture has never been used in Fiji. I also was very happy when i saw that the hotel has a buggy (golf cart) to take guests to and from rooms especially when the rooms are far away and for my case, was heavy rain. Staff communications was welcoming and happy
Upon arrival at fiji Airport, we were quickly greeted by our complimentary driver and taken to the hotel where we met some lovely people who took care of us straight away. The room is efficient and exactly what you pay for, there is an aircon and the staff were willing to help with anything we asked for. Friendly, fun and the local experience is what you get here!
The only hostel in Nadi. Good value for money. AC is fine although it doesn't reach inside the capsules so it feels a bit stuffy.
They have a tourist agency on site and they're really helpful! I usually hate agencies but it's really hard to get information about homestays and attractions in Fiji without them.
Fiji Gateway Hotel is an awesome place to stay if you want to be close to the airport. The room was very clean and the food in the restaurant was tasty. We only stayed one night as we had an early morning flight and it was great. The room was actually a lot nicer than the pictures on this website.
I really like this hotel for when I am staying in Nadi and don't need a resort. It's a good central location, clean and comfortable. If you are visiting Nadi and want to do sightseeing that isn't resort-focused, I'd recommend this one. Also, the Japanese restaurant on site is just incredible!
We were in Fiji for 24 hours and we found this place on booking, Save and his family are perfect host, they are very kind, the breakfast and the dinner was delicious, the place is very clean. It’s a perfect place to stay to discover and share the Fijian culture, thanks again to be so kind :)
A modest resort with average facilities, but the atmosphere helped improve out stay. We arrived on Fijian culture night, which involved a local troupe of dancers performing at the bar. This became quite entertaining and helped us meet some of the other guests.
Staff were generally helpful
Clean & good sized units for a big group. We used 4 units & was cheaper compared to hotels. Comfortable beds. Good to have 2 bathrooms in a unit, very convenient. 3 of the units were very close to each other as requested & that was very nice of them to consider that.
Well located, close to restaurants, has it’s own pool and. The staff is super friendly, you can play volleyball with them, try kava with singing together. Lots of young travellers stay here. The staff is happy to help you organize your travels around Fiji.
This hotel was really nice value for money. Buffet breakfast was really nice. Close to main Nadi town and airport. Really enjoyed the pool and staff were absolutely fantastic. Accommodated our request lovely place to stay.
It was a very large suite and the staff were friendly and helpful. Good view. Breakfast was nice, fresh cooked omelette a bonus. Great chinese restaurant nextdoor, big servings. Good location only $5 taxi to Nadi town.
it was very close to the airport and convenient for us to stay overnight before continuing our trip in Fiji. We arrived late at night and they allowed us to have a later check out time which was greatly appreciated!
We opted for an oceanview room, which was amazing. Our first night, we watched the traditional Fijian dancers and fire jugglers from our balcony. Very convenient to have a wonderful restaurant onsite.
Decent breakfast, excellent friendly staff. Near the beach and several restaurants. Pick-up at the airport was well worth the price. An easy taxi ride to central Nadi. A great cheap sleep!
The people here are AMAZING. From checking in to checking out. They really do define the saying "Fijians are the friendliest people in the world". Vinaka to the staff. Thank you so so much.
