The location could not have been better. Staff are super friendly and will happily engage in conversation with you. Shout out to Deborah and Melissa and the girls at reception, whatever the hotel pays you it is not enough. I understand some reviews saying hotel needs some TLC but hey, the rooms were clean and we did not have a problem with anything at the hotel. A Taxi from the airport to hotel is 62 BD around £ 30 which is a bit steep for a 5 mile journey, but it is what it is. The small vans that travel back and forth continuously, run up and down the main road blasting the horn to see if you want a ride was a very cheap and efficient way of travelling along the coast. The cost of the ride is a flat rate 3.50 BD ( £1-50) usually packed and with music belting out, but "when in Rome" The Tiki Bar, a 4 minute walk has a cracking deal for lounger and umbrella, price includes 5 beers and 25 bd off a meal. Be aware like all barbadian food outlets expect to wait and I mean up to 1-hr, so relax and enjoy the view. We used the worthing food mall, great takeaway food at a reasonable price. For snorkeling I recommend Carlisle Bay there are a couple of wrecks a hundred yards off of the beach, ask the deck chair vendors, I went to the very first row of chairs coming from Worthing, you can see buoys, thats where the sunken boats are located. Plenty of Turtles fish and stingrays to be seen and easy to swim out to. We also liked Miami Beach not for snorleling but is within walking distance of Oistens food courts. (4mins)
Blue Orchids Beach Hotel is located on Worthing beach, on Barbados’ south coast. It offers a gym, outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi. Studios feature a terrace with beach and ocean views.

Lanterns mall was decent with a variety of stores but most were closed. I had delivered from seven oh 11, not very good, food was extremely spicy. I would reccommend maybe staying in a different location from worthing, Christ Church.

We were really disappointed to see that the Waterfront was all boarded up and were informed that there was a regeneration plan for this area. We hope that it will be done for when we return.
It gets very hot in town so a quick dash to shops and then back to the beach. Could do with some more fun shops and not just duty free stores.
Also some nice restaurants would be beneficial.

Ate in a gorgeous beachfront restaurant about 10 min walk from resort.
Easy to get around on foot. Town centre is very small. Not much to see historically. Parliament building wasn't sign posted.
Beaches were nice.

Good hotel charging a reasonable price.
Good hotel charging a reasonable price. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Good location. Short walk from many amenities. The room had everything required. It was sizeable and very comfortable. It was a shame the restaurant and bar were closed for refurbishment.

I am not sure if we got the same room we booked.
I am not sure if we got the same room we booked. There were rooms with balcony but we were given one without a balcony. My husband said he visited there before and it was a much better place. We were told that the place had new owners, so that could be the difference. We did enjoy having breakfast close to the beach which was the highlight of our visit. The water at the beach was a little rough during our stay, but it was a pretty site to watch the boats go out on the water. It was easy to get around. I did go to the market place where I purchased some fruits, bread and souvenirs, but I don't think we would return there anytime soon.

Barbadians are one of the most warm and friendly , homely people. They quickly help you to forget you are a tourist more of a royalty. So willing to help. Love to be able to just have transport from Worthing and the hotel strips to go anywhere. You feel safe, but still always be on your guard in any country you visit.
I like the beach and the hotel provided beach chair and umbrellas for their customers, the location is great as it is easy to get public transportation and the taxi service is next door to the hotel, the room amenities are not great, they give you coffee and tea and a coffee pot and electric water kettle. There is one ice machine for the whole floor so if you are far from the ice machine you have a long walk. The hotel needs better light the lobby is dark and the lights in the rooms are very dull. The room are fair but not overly appealing.
One of the best locations on the island, unless you want excessive luxury and in-house nightlife. Large, clean room with a full kitchen. Large balcony with beautiful view (get upper floor, west end if possible). Building is 23 years old but looks new. Pool area never crowded, chairs always available. Immediate beach is small but ideal. A low key facility, no touristy vibes. Fast food 2 minutes away, excellent restaurants 5 minutes by bus or taxi, or 15-20 minutes walk. Beach bars almost next door. Gazebo bar by the pool.
The beach location was lovely ,calm with trees for shade and a good beach bar. The room was very big and extremely comfortable bed (I have a back problem and this was the best hotel bed I have had ). we had a room only basis however we did eat in the bar and restaurant and the meals were very good. Only problem for us was our room was on the top floor so the stairs were a problem for us . we hope to return .
Great breakfast, perfect location close to the boardwalk, restaurants and shops. The staff were polite, helpful and went the extra mile to ensure that we were taken care of. The hotel is beautifully maintained and I found it had a charming "old Barbados" island feel to it, complimented by interesting local art. My husband and I would definitely love to stay there again.
The beach is BEAUTIFUL and only a few yards from the rooms. The hotel is easy to find and only about twenty minutes from the airport. The staff is super helpful and nice. Jah was really friendly and helped us learn a lot about the island. The restaurant is right on the beach so you can have food and drinks under the tent or brought to your beach chair!
Beautiful boutique hotel with amazing gardens. Our room was big as was the bed. Room amenities very good. We stopped here for one night before setting sale on our cruise. There was a very big award ceremony taking place the night we stayed But the staff still managed to feed our party of 8
Splendid location but still need a taxi to reach Bridgetown center. Curiously, there are no hotels in the city and the Hilton and the Radisson were the two closest to the city. The food was excellent. The Coast to Coast day tour that I organized through the hotel was very good.
Great beach on the South western side
Beautiful little bay with the hotel in the beach, excellent food and after 8 nights was always good , loved the gym , all interiors are in good condition outside needs a spruce up
This is one of the best beach located hotels we are aware of. The beach was simply awesome and easy to swim. At night the pounding waves soothingly but you to sleep despite the noise you might hear from the street.
Convenient location, lovely beach and facilities, comfortable room with beautiful ocean view, entertainment, restaurants etc. kind, helpful staff. Very nice comfortable hotel. Great breakfast choices!!!
the spot was amazing and loved that you could get chairs on beach for free and fresh towels. the staff was great. loved the pool area. Liked that since we were Hilton honors that we got breakfast cheaper
The hotel was across the street from the beach and shopping and restaurants were conveniently located down the street. Staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. Check in was a smooth process.
Great location on a beautiful beach. Opposite a fun bar with live music (Mojo). Location is good as well with quick access to oistins and st lawrence gaps, as well as to bridgetown.
The hotel was extremely empty whilst we were there so nice and quiet. We were the only ones who used the pool. For a short break this was nice staff were extremely nice and helpful
