This hotel is absolutely beautiful. It is like stepping back into the past, into a historical mansion. The bathroom in the bedroom was as big as the bedroom itself. Beautiful decor. Friendly staff, and free tea and coffee facilities in the lobby. Walking distance to the beach, and far enough away from the hubbub for a nice night's sleep.

This is such a lovely small hotel in the very centre of St Jean de Luz in a pedestrian street. It is very quiet and peaceful. I was greeted warmly on arrival by Jennifer who helped me with my luggage.
I was given a lovely, comfortable room with a balcony looking over the main shopping street. Every detail had been thought about, including providing black tea on request for the English tea drinker!
The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the bathroom was very well equipped with an excellent shower. Breakfast with local products was delicious and served in a lovely room looking over the hotel terrace.
I would thoroughly recommend Les Almadies and its owners, Jennifer and Mathieu, for a great place to stay. I hope to visit again.

Recommended for those who want to spend a relaxing time or walking, hiking as there are rare sightseeing place. It is a favorite town that I like to visit every few years.

Nice uncrowded beach getaway.
Nice uncrowded beach getaway. Good place to base out of as its close to Biarritz and San Sebastien. After visiting most of the Basque Coast St. Jean de Luz was nice place to come back to as it was a very relaxed atmosphere. The town had very nice shops and an attractive square with dining all around.

I have stayed here before which is why I chose to stay here...
I have stayed here before which is why I chose to stay here this time. the hotel is immaculatly clean, has plenty of free parking onsite and is pet friendly, although that was not a requirement for me on this trip.
The gentleman on the reception was friendly and helpful, My limited French was matched by his limited English but we managed to understand eachother with good humour thrown in.
The hotel offers a modest selection of choices for breakfast and is perfectly adequate for most peoples needs, if you need snacks there is a vending machine in the foyer that has hot & cold drinks as well as sweets, biscuits and crisps. My room was very clean and comfortable, it had plenty of wall sockets for using or charging electricals, my only small criticism would be that the lighting was a little dim which made some tasks a little difficult that required more light but this should not really impact on most guests. The hotel although close to a busy road did not suffer from any road noise at all, the bed and bedding was comfortable and warm, the room had an AC and inverter unit but it was not necessary for me to use it so cannot comment on how good it is. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and I would always choose to use it whenever Im passing through on this route, it offers very good value for money in my opinion

I loved that it was pet friendly, great parking facilities and secure, beautiful pool and I received amazing service from the owner and the front desk staff. Alex made us coffee for our departure very early in the morning and greeted us with a smile.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.
Food smells from the restaurant smelled heavenly.
Clean, modern room with lot of light. A short walk to the beach. Very comfortable bed.and sockets next to the bed for easy charging. Coffee and tea-making in the room. Free on-street parking. Helpful staff - the receptionist let us use the temporary guest hotel parking until the next morning since we were the last guests to arrive. Free, good Wifi.
This was the most comfortable hotel I have stayed in in years - the bed, pillows, duvet all perfect. The walk-in shower was roomy and the towels large and soft. It is in a perfect location in the old town a few steps to the beach, and 5 minutes walk to the port. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our hostess - friendly, warm and helpful.
A superb hotel & the best possible start to our 3-week holiday to the Pyrenees. Friendly & helpful reception staff, spotlessly clean room, plenty of easy car parking spaces and, best of all, a lovely coastline just up a little road nearby. Free parking spot up at top of road & walked to excellent beaches & little bars serving excellent suppers.

we loved the location and the ambiance of the hotel. The room was huge and clean and the bathroom was nice. The owner/staff were extremely friendly. I would recommend this place if you aren’t looking for a swanky hotel and want to be close to the beach.
This was an apartment so we prepared our own breakfast. The location was absolutely perfect --two steps out of the door and you are in the centre of everything --shops, restaurants, underground parking (Indigo) near Les Halles market.
Pleasant hotel, good place close to highway - one night stop, clean large room, good breakfast.
Hotel near to nice beach - Plage de Lafitenia - amazing view to sunset, pleasant early morning swimming in the ocean.
Our dog friendly room was quiet, pleasantly decorated and had a small balcony. The hotel was located in a residential area just a few minutes walk from the beach. Paid, secure parking has to be pre-booked.
Everything ! It was perfect, the personnel were helpful and so nice, we felt like at home ! The hotel is well located, in front of the beach and closed to everything.
I had a gorgeous room with a balcony and views out over the beach and sea. The renovated hotel is gorgeous and very stylish. Plenty of space and bespoke finishes!
Perfect location for the beach, and parking at Indigo car park was so close.
The hotel even allowed us to use their parking badge for a greatly reduced price.
Nice boutique hotel, only 2 blocks from the ocean and convenient to shops and restaurants. Comfortable, small rooms with nice bathrooms.
Staff very helpful.
