It's in a great location with easy access to lots of activities. We stayed in a villa and there was plenty of room for the both of us plus the advantage of having a bedroom so as not to disturb the late sleeper. Hot shower with good pressure, comfortable bed with the beach just across the street. We saw white wallabies less than a km down the road from here. We stayed 2 nights but wished we would've stayed more. Its a short drive to where they conduct boat tours from and the Mavista rainforest walk was beautiful with great looks at Pink Robin. Its a short drive to the chocolate shop and to The Neck for penguin and shearwater viewing in the evening.

Bruny island is just beautiful.
Bruny island is just beautiful. I spent 3 nights at Adventure Bay and loved it. There is the Fluted Cape walk which I recommend.
The General Store (it's the only one on the island) is well supplied with all necessities and some luxuries.
I recommend exploring the island and visiting the Honey store and Inala Jurassic Park.
Drive slowly, too many tourists drive far too fast and as a result there is too much roadkill mainly pademelons. Pademelons are sweet, slow small wallabies, they don't deserve to die. Take your time and enjoy the experience.

Beautiful place to base yourself when exploring Bruny Island...
Beautiful place to base yourself when exploring Bruny Island. Central to many key activities and facilities. A beautiful outlook across the bay towards the Tasman Peninsula.
Key essentials like groceries and petrol available. Also near the Pennicott boat cruise restaurant and other places to eat out. Pennicott boat trip is a must.
We also drove to the Bruny Hotel, which is less than 20 minutes away, for meals.
Fluted Cape walk was well signposted once we found the start. Other short walks and lookouts nearby.
White wallabies.

The house was very comfortable with all kitchen equipment you could ever need. Lots of seating areas with wonderful views over the bay.
Very comfortable bed
Extremely quiet.
TV control was only glitch - too complicated. Couldn’t work out how to download Netflix from my phone to watch on TV screen .
Highly recommend the Bruny Hotel at Allonah for a meal. Recommend you book.
The boat trip was excellent . As was the sunset tour of the lighthouse . Both can be booked online.

We enjoyed the area; beach and cliff walks, wildlife and history. An excellent restaurant, served a good variety of lunchtime meals. The fish served is locally caught and cooked the following day. The restaurant is operated by a cruise company - day cruises along the adjacent coastline, sadly we did not have time for the cruise this visit.
An excellent local museum gives much of the historical background to the area and the early explorers.
This house is an ideal base for exploring Bruny. The host was very proactive and responsive, giving clear instructions and lots of information. The house is spacious and very well equipped.
The ingredients supplied for breakfast made for a special first morning.
Parking is very easy, and the outdoor area was nice in the evening.
We liked that it is quiet, and away from the main settlement at Adventure Bay. The beach across the road makes for a nice walk.
This property had a amazing view of adventure bay. White wallabies and native birds were all around us. The rooms were in a wing that you could close the door on so entertaining ourselves did not disrupt the kids. We didn’t need the fire as the heating was plenty. We used the stove dishwasher and coffee machine all of which worked well. There is a local shop at adventure bay you can buy meat and vegetables from. It was immaculate clean and well appointed.
we loved the property, the location was great with proximity to the beach and grocery store, the cleanliness, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, peaceful and a beautiful yard. The property host was very responsive and nice, and a very nice gesture to leave for us a bottle of Tasmanian sparkling wine! thank you.
Awesome location right across the road from the beach in Adventure Bay. The property itself is huge, with a cozy one bedroom unit with a great comfy bed. It has everything you need for a self catered stay but you need to make sure you bring your food and drinks as there are not a lot of options in Adventure Bay.
Absolutely loved our time at Adventure Bay Retreat. Studio was just perfect in every way. Stunning views, comfortable bed, a copper bath, bath robes and so much more. Every detail of the studio has been thought of. We were greeted by an array of friendly wild life which was amazing 😍
Everything went well. The bed and a doona were fantastic. Everything was very clean. They had all the cooking utensils needed. We loved roaming the property and seeing birds. The distance from the beach was very convenient for us.
The location was fantastic with the beach just over the road. The nights were cold but there was adequate heating. The electric blankets were much appreciated. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped
A wonderful place to stay right on the beach front. The house was clean and comfortable with everything provided.
Chris was a fantastic host, with great communication from booking to right through to check out.
The location was amazing it had easy access to everything on both north and south Bruny Island and it is not difficult to find. What was offered for breakfast was simple but plentiful.
An excellent place, the best accommodation during our Tassie holiday, unanimous from all.
We would love to return to this place in the future.
Kudos to Sarah and her Team
Highly recommend this property. So secluded and relaxing. Lots of wildlife, very child friendly all ages. We had a wonderful family holiday in The Lodge. The Swing 🥰
The view overlooking Adventure Bay was great, as was the sunny closed in verandah. The kitchen was extremely well equiped. Carl the manager was good to deal with.
