Stunning view, friendly, service-minded staff, excellent facilities. The location can normally only be reached by a funicular. When heavy winds prevented its operation, as we were about to leave, the hotel organized a car to take us down to the valley (on a path that only experienced drivers would be able to use). Kudos to the driver and the hotel.

Lovely area with beautiful nature to enjoy. Just one hour away from Munich. Slyrs distillery is good to visit, and the next door Hotel Hubertus is managed by lovely people that will look after you in the best possible way. Nice hikes and nature around. When staying at Hubertus, Marlene is a recommendable restaurant and Stickl cafe has lovely cakes.

Schliersee is a beautiful Bavarian town on a small lake that you can walk round in a couple of hours. The town has some great cafes such as the Milchhaeusl and the Mesner and a range of shops. We were there for a couple of local festivals where the traditional 'Tracht' was worn proudly. It's a great base for walking and getting out into the mountains. The tourist tax gives you free travel on local buses and discounted entry to places like the amazing Vital-Welt with pools and saunas.

A beautiful venue for a wedding, a weekend or short get away- in Summer or winter.
schliersee is a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains covered in pine forests! Lying in the South -southwest region of Munich 1/12 hours away from Salzburg and 2 hours from Neuschwanstein Castle , Schliersee is home to Markus Wasmeier ( ex Olympic skiing champion) and his museum and other historical buildings! Lantenhammer distilleries produce top schnaps in all varieties-you can visit them as well.
Having a car is essential if you want to be independent of buses and trains.

Lots of good restaurants and beautiful lake frequented mainly by Germans in spring/summer. Close to other lakes and surrounded by mountains. Easy access to Austria. Guest-card gives discounts and free bus travel in whole Miesbach area. Bavaria train ticket only 17 euro - you can use it all day for transport throughout Bavaria.
This is a lovely Hotel! Both times I have stayed here I have been very satisfied. I’ve gotten great rooms with view over the mountains or the lake (which is beautiful by the way). The staff is polite and helpful, and the food is amazing! Great breakfast and varied courses in the restaurant. The hotel also has a nice Biergarten just by the lake, which is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal, or just a beer while taking in the stunning view of Schliersee.

Very good comfortable rooms. Great breakfasts and close to the beautiful lake and mountains. Although a big hotel it was very nice and quiet and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Clearly a favourite place for hikers and summer water-lovers and also a great stop-over spot along the German Alpine Road.
Very great surprise for this hotel, it is very beautiful outside and quite typical inside with all comfort.. Our 4 people room was really big and with a very nice view. Restaurant was also very good with reasonable prices.
The apartment is larger than it appears on the photos and is really lovely, decorated to a high standard with a well equipped kitchen. Parking is free at the Karma Bavaria hotel (which it is part of).
This is a unique opportunity to experience Bavarian hospitality in a genuine environment where you can sense both generosity and attention to details at all times. A true gem in Schliersee.
