It is a great place for sports, trekking, cycling, swimming. The lake is extra clean and you can easily reach the tops of the mountains around. If you don't stay in any hotel, you can find a quiet place to swim not far from the main street.

Fusch am See is one of the many lakes in the Austrian...
Fusch am See is one of the many lakes in the Austrian Salzkammergut region. Beautiful nature, interesting scenery, there are many attractions and a lot of beautiful walks. Tourists can be visit nearby Salzburg or use a cog railway from St. Wolfgang upto Schaftberg and then walk down hill. The reward will be wonderful views of the alpine peaks and lakes.
We booked this on short notice and were pleasantly surprised. This adult only hotel is part of a bigger complex but well enough separated from the rest. Nice nature pool and a lot (!) of books available for free at the hotel. It is called a "Bibliotel" (mix of a library and a hotel). Very cool concept and a very wide array of books available (though about 80-90% is in German of course). Good breakfast.
It exceeded our expectation! It is perfect spot for families especially when you book apartments. The property is surrounded by meadows, there are cows, rabbits that attracts every kid attention. Apartments are well equipped. Location is 10 mins from Fuschl am See central water park/swimming pool. Owners are pleasant, supportive.
- friendly and welcoming host.
- the apartment was clean with nice furniture and the kitchen was fully equipped with utensils and cutleries.
- the location is excellent as it’s closed to the centre of Salzburg (around 30 mins) and Hallstatt (50 mins) and much closer to Wolfgangsee.
- the pension has a private access to Fuschlsee.
The pension is in a lovely location, right by the lake. The staff are amazing: really attentive, kind, and happy to give you advice about the best hikes and restaurants nearby. The rooms themselves are spacious, clean and very cozy. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay while exploring the area.
It is such a lovely place in beautiful surroundings. Not far from the lake and small town. Bus stops not too far away. Bus 150 takes half an hour to get to Salzburg. The owners were such lovely people who could not do enough for you. Would definitely recommend it.
Great location on the lake shore in Fuschl. Good choice for breakfast buffet. Limited choice for main course for the wintertime evening half board menu, but quality of food, presentation and portion size were excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Hotel Jakob's location was perfect for us. I've spent 5 nights with my wife and with my dog. Fuschlsee and Wolfgang See are wonderful places.
Hotel bed is amazing comfortable. Staff are really friendly. They're doing a great job. Breakfast was also good.
Great rural and peaceful location with amazing views across to Schafberg. I regularly saw deer in the fields and got to within 5m on one occassion. Lots of hiking on the doorstep. The village of Fuschl am See is a 15 minute walk away.
Great location almost on the lake shore not far from the village. Cozy rooms with a beautiful view. You can use the sauna (regular or infrared). It is really pet friendly, but don't forget to warn that you will be with a fluffy one.
A lovely location and right on the lake. The host was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble with an excellent continental breakfast. Lovely clean rooms and a very comfortable stay. Thank you monika from Gary and Heidi x
Great location, good parking, nice breakfasts, very comfy suite of rooms, very attentive and helpful owner, extremely good value. Lots of nearby restaurants and good walks around the lake or into the hills.
Fantastic location, wonderful lake view from the balcony, very nice village, amazing landscapes. Excellent breakfast. Swimming pool and lake access just across the street.
In the hotel is an excellent restaurant. I had a very good dinner there. In generat the hotel staff was very helpful and all were able to communicate in English.
