It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities...
It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities other than hotels. It suited us very well as it was very peaceful. Driving or taxi into Salzburg is the best option. Otherwise a bus or taxi to an out of town shopping centre plus a bus from there. We parked out the out of town shopping centre for dinner and got a parking ticket. It was not well advertised that we should have paid for parking. Nothing to do with the hotel but be warned!CarolynUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
the staff is amazing
the staff is amazing To things are subjects for improvement First 1.enrich the breakfast 2.There is no refrigerator and safe in the rooms, in my opinion this is a big drawback, a hotel with excellent service like the Kammel needs a safe and a refrigerator in the room for the comfort of the guests

Nice suburb of Salzburg, at the river Saalach (with bike/walk way along) with a few clean lakes, several restaurants, playgrounds... Close to Salzburg city center, a few minutes to Salzburg outlet / shopping malls and airoport. Commuting distance to Alps, lakes, Salzburg castles.....

The adult spa area was well appointed and not overly crowded. The hotel is very child-friendly and has a big playground outside. The lady who served us insisted my husband order some eggs despite us being short of time and they appeared very quickly and were delicious.
