Resort was awesome and the staffs were very welcoming. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Had a good mix of greenery and beach. Resort was surrounded by trees and had a chance to spot peacock whenever i opened the door. Pool was very clean and large. It was close to a clean and not too crowded beach (not walkable distance for aged thou). Food was good but didn’t have much options, was expecting some kerala special’s but was disappointed. However, everything they prepared was spot on and they served it with care. Overall, a good choice worth the money. Special kudos to all the staff.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very handy for a short stroll to the beach, without being directly on the seafront. Bijoy was the perfect host, making us feel welcome on arrival and providing valuable information and advice. It's easy to see why he has so many repeat guests. There was plenty of choice for dining, with many decent restaurants and cafes very close at hand.

Kovalam is a nice beach.
Kovalam is a nice beach. I had visited this place almost 40 yrs back as a kid but this time was a difference experience altogether. It is great if you are able to hire a car here and then move around. The experience from lighthouse on the lighthouse beach is something unique. The beach itself is nice and clean and you do get beds at INR 100 where you can rest and put your clothes while you take a small dip in the sea. In case you are looking for vegetarian food, the options are less but not non-existent. Overall a very nice stay.

This review for Lighthouse Beach - It is good if you enjoy a beach environment (no sandflies). Little else to do around there, but visiting the lighthouse is OK. A few good choices in restaurants. 25% more expensive (hotels and restaurants) than expected (compared to other areas in India). Tuktuk and taxis at both ends if you want to go elsewhere. Not many travel agencies around for sidetrips. Enjoyed Oceano Di Cafe Authentic Caffeine.

I planned only 5 nights in Kovalam - for me this wasn't enough. I'd been travelling and wanted chill time - Kovalam definitely provides that. There are shops, restaurants, cafes and hotels on the promenade. I didn't get the chance to try lots of cafes as the ones I started with were super. I lost my orientation whilst in the alleyways that connect the hotels to the beach - and found lots more shops and cafes I didn't know about. There are some concrete walkways (some with waterways either side) yet adequate lighting was provided and it wasn't a problem even in the evening.

Kovalam beach is nice and clean, and very tourist friendly.
Kovalam beach is nice and clean, and very tourist friendly. Depending on what place you stay, you could enjoy many things within walking distance. The food places are nice along the beach near light house beach, but mostly overpriced (it was expected though, as near to the beach and tourist area). 2-3 days are enough to spend time in there, I wished I had more time to spend at the next beach i.e. Varkala - which is way more beautiful than Kovalam.

Kovalam is paradise!
Kovalam is paradise! The quieter sister of Varkala, a labyrinth of streets with lovely restaurants right behind the beach promenade. Enough to explore for days. You can easily spend days and days and days here. ❤️❤️
This resort is so beautiful it blows your mind! But, I wouldn't expect any less from a Taj property 😊 There's so much green all around the hotel, with the beautiful lagoon and the private beach, you hardly feel the need to step out... simply walking in the gardens or spending the day reading is a perfect holiday plan to unwind and recharge your batteries.
The staff is extremely polite, efficient and friendly.
The food gets a 10/10 too. All meals of the day include local specialties along with popular regulars. Superb.
1. The location was superb, two mins to the beach
2. The manager was really helpful and nice
3. The room was airy and spacious.
4. The auto which the mamager helped us to book the guy was superb and we did a proper sightseing to poovar, chenkal and azhimala at a decent price
Note - If you have trolleys call the mamager first to pick up your luggage because the hotel is a 5 mins walk from a canal road to the main road. Vehicles are not allowed to the hotel.
The property is exquisite. It is comfortably small with few rooms, all facing the panoramic view of the ocean, hills, and the lighthouse. The breakfast spread is delicious, the rooms are spacious, every staff member went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests and the swimming pool is extremely pleasant. If you are looking to stay in Kovalam, this is definitely the property to select.
The hotel is located just in front of the beach. If you are coming by car, then you have to park your car at some nearby paid parking area, but hotel staff will be there to guide and help you. I found the staff very polite and helpful. there is an attached restaurant also. you can enjoy your food, seating just next to the beach, with the beautiful ambience. food quality was also very good.
I liked the location of the hotel as it has a beach that naturally gets separated from the main Kovalam beach due to rocks and a small cliff. Going to beach requires a lot of up and down from the garden area as the hotel is on the top of a hillock. Local market is 5 mins walk at Kovalam beach. But to reach to the market or beach be prepared for a 5 to 10 mins walk. Rest will all be good.
The swimming pool was a reasonable size and a good resource. The Indian breakfast was nice. The hotel was located just off the beach at the bottom of the hill so not far to walk to the main promenade. The staff were pleasnat and helpful. Our room was a good size and included a fridge. We enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful serene setting with breathtaking views with sustainability at its core. Spacious rooms tastefully furnished, very clean and comfortable. Good keralan breakfast with fresh fruit and juices. Both reception and restaurant staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly.
No doubt is there, it is a very good resort at kovalam.
Very nice like home stay and the sweety smily face and behavior of the manager/owner will always indicate you the resort.
Without any hesitation you should take a chance in this resort.
Amazing place to stay at budget, owner is very humble and nice person. My wife forget her phone in room during checkout, he drive to us for return the mobile. He also provide us a 2 wheeler for explore nearby places. Highly Recommended.
This Ayurveda Resort is a hidden gem, elegant hotel room. The hotel stay must be of atleast three days to enjoy the ayurveda therapy.
This hotel is convenient in traveling to Kovalam beach and Mangrove forest boat ride .
Club room with awesome view of the green cliff and the sea, exclusive infinity pool for the club residents, superb buffet spread for breakfast and dinner.
One of the best hotel stays ever for us
Rooms were very clean and hygenic. Staff was very nice and cooperative. They provided us a balcony room on request. Location is good , very much near to beach.
