Hiroshima is a beautiful, nice city, in which I would highlight the Hiroshima Castle, a park with a ginkgo tree, a beautiful city center with numerous watercourses and specific cuisine. Good for 2-3 nights
many points can be reached by easy walking
there is good public transport available for more distant points
but in bad weather there is nothing to do and staying overnight is enough

The Hiroshima tourist pass is great and cost effective.
The Hiroshima tourist pass is great and cost effective. I really like it. A very nice pretty lady went out of her way to show my way to the hotel on my first day navigating to the hotel. She even walked with me and offered to carry my luggage up the stairs because I looked so lost :)) She also went out of her way to accompany me to the Train 7 platform going to Chuden Mae. Too bad was not able to get her name. Very nice and helpful people. The map is easy to navigate after a few days. Just not aware there’s free hiroshima wifi. I could have skipped getting a subscribed plan for 5 days.

I visited the town in Sakura season, weather was pleasant which allowed me to discover all the local attractions on foot. Public transport, English speaking staff manning information desk at the station and hotel and shops was helpful.

I've been there before, and I just love it.
I've been there before, and I just love it. In many ways it's the perfect Japanese city. Well laid out, not so crowded, great facilities. The nightlife area is engaging, the public transport is (as always) first class. And the main reason for going there - the Hiroshima Dome - is as poignant and compelling as ever.
After paying your respects at the Dome, there are any number of other attractions that the city has to offer, including nearby Miyajima Island, which is a truly wonderful day out.

I did not expect the development around city/province.
I did not expect the development around city/province. It has a lot of big hotels and buildings. I got to try the mom and pop okonomiyaki restaurant at the Hiroshima University and ate twice at Yoshinoya Restaurant at the station. Visited the police station for a transaction that went smoothly. The people we met are very accommodating and kind. The transportation system is very commendable. We did not have the time to visit the tourist spots so we will definitely visit this place again.

We really liked being this memorial town paying our respect...
We really liked being this memorial town paying our respect the people were really helpful loverly outlook from our hotel. Of river. All the people at the memorial were very respectful the area was treated with much respect it deserved. But a little sad. That this is what had to happen. Unfortunately the loss was to the people living at the time. Not the government in charge.
Great location (less than 10 min by foot from Hirsohima main station). Even if the staff did not talk a lot in English we managed to understand each other and everyone was very nice and helpful. You can leave your stuff before the check-in time. The room was confortable, clean and with everything needed. Great vue from the room (on the 10th floor for us) on Hiroshima. There is a conveniance store and vending machines near the hotel and it is located in front of the Mazda stadium for the baseball fans.
I loved this place and will definitely stay here again in the future. The lobby is lovely, they provide amenities in the room and at the lobby, it's close to some of the most important places in Hiroshima, the Peace Memorial Park and the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Dome. If you are using a JR pass you can take the Meipuru-pu bus for free by showing it to the driver and get off very very close to the hotel. I also had a very nice view from my window to the park and dome, it exceeded my expectations!
This hotel is well-located in central Hiroshima. It's a two-minute walk to the Peace Park in one direction, and to access the street car system in the other. It's surrounded by small restaurants and convenience stores are also close by. There is also a laundrette facility (coin laundry) across the road. The facilities are clean and are serviced well every day. It's clear it's a popular hotel with many guests over the several days we stayed. The cost to stay was extremely good too.
Amazing view, I was lucky to be assigned at the 12th floor facing the sea. Even though the hotel is old, the rooms are renewed with smart TV, comfortable sofa, and good toilet amenities. There are many restaurants available and it's great to have cocktails at night on the top floor. Breakfast is also served there, which makes it a unique stay experience in Hiroshima. It's also a big honor to be able to be hosted in the place where the G7 Summit was held.
LOCATION AND MY OVER-ALL STAY! APA Hotel never fails to meet my expectations. Been staying at APA Hotels whether I'm in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka and Nagoya during my trips and one thing that makes me go back and book their hotels is the location.
Their Hiroshima hotel is just beside the JR Hiroshima station which is a plus for me since I'm traveling with family (senior parents and 2 toddlers below 4 years old).
Hotel is 10mins walk from Hiroshima station. Even with a stroller with toddler, 2 luggages, the distance is very manageable. The hotel is very modern, toilet is very clean except some stain on the carpet. The hotel lobby and entrance is very pretty and modern. The receptionists were both friendly and helpful. The room itself is not big, but it’s enough to fit an open big luggage, a stroller nicely.
Great location near Peace Park and a lot of restaurants. Easy enough to get to from Hiroshima station. Staff were incredible, spoke good English and were willing to help us forward our luggage to the next city (and receive it early from the previous hotel). Great little coffee stand on the ground floor, a coin laundry available comfortable room overall. Shower & toilet were next level.
Beautiful hotel, very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our view from the 27th floor was incredible, we had one room looking out to the A-Bomb Dome and islands and another room looking out to Hiroshima Castle. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner buffet very much. Located very close to the Peace Memorial Park, Hiroshima Castle and lots of shopping and restaurants.
We were lucky to have a room on the top floor overlooking the river, which was beautiful. The hotel is a short 7-minute walk from Hiroshima station which is convenient, although it’s a longer walking distance (20-25 minutes) to what I would deem the “heart” of the city centre. The room was a great size and the bed was very comfortable. It was also exceptionally clean.
People of the hotel is very nice, they can save your luggage before and after the checkout.
Breakfast is included and it’s very complete
You can walk to the hotel from Hiroshima Station so the location it’s great.
Beds are comfortable, the room is private enough
I’ll stay again and surely recommend this hotel
Located between the train station and the main sights of Hiroshima as the Peace Memorial Park. Each about 15 mins by foot.
Good value for the money, big rooms compared to other hotels I stayed in Japan.
Very kind staff, one Receptionist even knew some German and Serbian - was a pleasure to stay there!
Great location with direct access to Hiroshima station. You get exactly what you expect from such a hotel in Japan. A spacy, clean room and very friendly, helpful personnel. Of course, you pay the according price but no complaints about that. I'd come again.
The location was great, right in town center with many restaurants and eateries. Transportation was really convenient with local buses and trams. The hotel is within walking distance of most of the attractions Peace park, Atomic dome and Hiroshima castle.
Very comfortable room and bed. Spacious room with couch and nice bathroom. Well located to explore Hiroshima and many restaurants and bars close to the hotel. TV is equipped with Chromecast so streaming is easy.
Location is very convenient to Hiroshima station, friendly staff, city view from room was nice, breakfast buffet offered good variety of food featuring Hiroshima specialties. Good hotel for short-term stays.
We absolutely loved our stay in Hiroshima. Amazing location and great staff. The KNOT coins was an amazing idea also, we had a good time at the hotel rooftop
