The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!
Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Centre near the waterfront, and savour the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.
Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.
For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Markets in the grounds sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.
Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.

Tokyo is a metropolis brimming with so much history, culture, attractions and views to see and do. I could have stayed for the entirety of my two week trip and not been bored at all.
I will be back one day to see more.
I enjoyed the conveyor sushi, ramen and all the set meals, wandering around shinjuku at 2am due to jetlag. The food. The people. 7-eleven.
Metro is amazing, not complicated at all just use google maps for reference.
If I was to avoid anything next visit.. I really cant think of anything. I have never felt this safe travelling alone.

It was an unforgettable and completely new experience from Tokyo, where I had not been for 10 years. Tokyo has changed a lot for the better, and so have the people. There are so many beautiful and smartly dressed people here. Many Tokyo residents were ready to help us find the right route or recommend a place of interest. I will not be mistaken if I say that Tokyo is the best city I have ever visited.

The whole experience was great.
The whole experience was great. We stayed in the Ginza area which was lovely. Tokyo was so busy but everyone was so polite and helpful. Metro, trains and bullet train were amazing. So clean and always right on time. Had perfect weather for all the sightseeing we did. Perfect weather to see Mount Fuji. Just a shame we were a week early for the cherry blossom to be fully out.
Loved it all though.
Thank you Tokyo,

We stayed in Asakusa near Sensoji Temple and Shinjuku.
We stayed in Asakusa near Sensoji Temple and Shinjuku.
Asakusa-a lot of touristy shops and regular shopping and many restaurants.
Shinjuku-much more eating choices, shopping, not so much for souvenirs. Vibrant night life, eateries open 24/7 or till 5 am, a very happening area, the vibe is unbelievable. Shinjuku Gyoen National Park is beautifully landscaped.
Ueno Ameyoko shopping district is fun with a lot of shops and food-eateries, snacks, fruits, market.

Tokyo appears to be a city geared towards younger people.
Tokyo appears to be a city geared towards younger people. It is very congested but interesting. Be prepared for lots of walking and standing. Comfortable shoes are a must! We found very few public places to sit down and rest except at eateries.
The room was clean and nicely appointed. The WiFi was good and logging on to it was easy. The hotel is is a largely residential area with a good choice of shops and bars. The station is a few minutes walk away with good links across the city and a direct link to Shinjuku, Shibuya, and other well known areas. Kagurazaka is a very pleasant part of Tokyo and is an easy walk, it offers even more restaurants, bars, wine-bars. For beer lovers there are a few craft beer places nearby which serve a wide selection of first class beers.
Really well located, easy to reach and close to many restaurant options.
Compared to other hotels and the high prices asked, Indigo Tokyo Shibuya really offers the best option in relation to quality-price-location-room size.
I hope they won't change their price policy.
The best, the staff and the girls helping the clients to have a taxi under heavy rain. Amazing help and work! they did their best to satisfy all who needed a taxi to get to their destination.
We booked this on a whim as we wanted to extend our Tokyo trip one more day. Price was about 30% less expensive than the previous hotel we booked but my husband and I both agreed it was A LOT BETTER than the pricier hotel. Amenities were plenty and we also got a free room upgrade. Superior room gave us a nice view of the city and Tokyo Sky tree! VOD was also free! Location was perfect and really close to Asakusa station. We will definitely come back here! ❤️
Great location , in a quiet section of Shinjuku. The public bath area was spacious, clean and has all amenities. Breakfast has a good variety of food , delicious and they make egg benedict with 2 types of sauces for you upon request. Love the park next to the hotel. I requested a room on the higher floors facing the park and it was granted. View from the sky roof was fantastic. Love the slippers, pyjamas and robe in the room to use at the public bath.
The location is perfect as it is near the station. You also have a lot of restaurants nearby that you can choose from. Shibuya Sky is very accessible since it was the one that we intend to visit. Shibuya Crossing and Miyashita Park is a few minutes walk. The hotel is just in front of Parco. Tokyo station is at least 24mins ride from Shibuya station so it's perfect for your Tokyo trip. You can access a lot of nearby tourist attractions.
Great location, great staff, comfy rooms and clean facilities. The lunch menu at Bellustar restaurant was awesome, simply delicious. The hotel is on Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, where you also have Bandai Namco Tokyo, an awesome food hall with live music and great food, as well as bars and restaurants. Close to the Shinjuku station as well. All around, I would definitely visit again. Thanks for everything!
The apartment is definitely bigger size compared to APA hotels or any business hotels in the Shinjuku or Shibuya down town.
Me and my family felt way more comfortable here!
Heater works perfectly fine in winter time and all the amenity we needed was here too.
A Lovely safe local neighborhood and lots nice cafe and restaurants near by.
Close to MRT Hatsudai station on foot
Relatively convenient location - around ten mins walk to the Shibuya Hachi exit. Shibuya is a very good location for tourists - close to everywhere and orientating in train station not as confusing as Shinjuku
Equipped with Shared laundry. Ice and water machine, microwave.
Non-traditional self checkin style hotel.
Comfy bed. Big TV
The location was great. There is a new exit in Shibuya station that takes you straight to the hotel. After a long day, you can go back to the hotel and just grab food in the nearby convenience stores and restaurants. Compared to the prices of the hotel along Shibuya crossing, this hotel is a gem. Shibuya crossing is super near.
Lovely, clean, well facilitated rooms. very small however it will be the same everywhere in Tokyo, for us it was perfect. The staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was good for the price you pay. Much cheaper than UK prices at hotels. Location is good, 15 minute walk max to Shinjuku station. 7 11 3 minutes walk.
The location is fantastic, it's across from Kinshicho station, where you can choose JR or Tokyo Metro. The room was small but breakfast buffet was excellent and fun. Compared to the hotels in the center of Tokyo (Ginza/Tokyo station/Shibuya), the cost performance is excellent. Perfect for tourists.
First off, the price. It's also very near the Ebisu station (1 station after Shibuya.) Has plenty of restaurants around it. A good place start for people who want to try capsule hotels. I like the minimalist aesthetic of the hotel. And the staff were helpful and courteous.
Booked this hotel for my husband to try out a capsule hotel during our stay in Tokyo. He especially liked the bath facilities and enjoyed the steam sauna. The lounge area was a nice bonus and the staff was friendly. The hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
I booked the same room where me and my husband stayed last October for my daughter and her friend. They watched Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Tokyo. They were happy with the hotel location, room size, amenities and the polite staffs. They had nothing to complain.
Great location. Easy walk to Shinjuku Station. Perfect for us since my husband was running the Tokyo marathon and it started literally outside the hotel ! Decent sized rooms with good amenities. Enjoyed the breakfast .
Good location, helpful staff, and a nice, comfortable room. I had a very relaxing sleep. Close to a family mart and the oedo train station, which is next to the Shinjuku park.
Great location near to Shinjuku station. The hotel has many facilities including multiple restaurants, shops etc. Rooms are good but compact, as per most other Tokyo hotels
The location of this capsule hotel is fantastic, you literally can't ask for better being right outside shinjuku station and so close to great food locations.
