The staff were amazing, couldn’t be more helpful. I needed to extend my parking because of the event I was attending, which was not a problem at all.
The room was immaculate and the bed was so comfy I had a great nights sleep!

Obviously a lot of work been put in to convert the barn into accommodation, nice decor. Convenient location for the lakes/zoo and some of the staff in the pub opposite were lovely. Mattress was very comfy and nice to be able to sit outside in the sun with a drink :) came with teas, coffees, towels, shampoo, TV etc. With a little bit more TLC with cleaning and communication from the hosts/owners this place could be great.

Lovely area would suit most people.
Lovely area would suit most people. There are hidden gems if you like to explore. Plenty of shopping facilities. Easy to eat out at reasonable prices. The roads are clearly signed and easy to navigate. A great base for either staying in Barrow-in=Furness or travelling around the lakes daily.
A quiet holiday to extreme adventures, your choice is within the Lake District.

Hotel does not provide value for money, much better hotels available for cheaper price. Pockets of good/excellence from staff, but major improvements required in the hospitality food preparation particularly for breakfast, which was extremely dissappointing. Generally, grounds are okay but nothing particularly special, the description and photos, do not accurately reflect the experience.
Would not take much to improve all round, as a number of staff were very nice and supportive.

This place has a really negative aura.
This place has a really negative aura. I can't even explain why but I was anxious while there. We should have booked a stay much closer to the Lakes or at least in Ulverston that is just a stone's throw away.

What a lovely hotel. We were going to Walney Island for a family function and the King Alfred hotel and staff were such a lovely part of our trip. The staff addressed each need we had. We were travelling in a larger group with a one-year old. The staff were so accommodating and pleasant. The rooms were large, warm, and very comfortable. I would also recommend the restaurant. The food was excellent and the portions were enormous. Also, be sure to visit the adult play park just down the road. That was a fun!
Lee was the greatest host with amazing hospitality. The apartment was fully stocked and even provided complimentary milk, bread, cereal etc. Bed was comfy and the jacuzzi spa was a plus. Tv was loaded with films and Netflix. The whole vibe of the flat was great very modern. Easy parking and close to many shops. And 15 min drive to Abbey furness and safari zoo. Definitely would stay here when coming to Barrow in Furness ♥️
We had two single bikes, which the hotel stored overnight in a shed in their secure yard. This was excellent as we did not worry about them being stolen. We travelled by train to Barrow in Furness with our bikes and then cycled to the South Walney Nature reserve. So we particularly chose the hotel to be on Walney Island to have a less- traffic bike ride to the Reserve.
The hotel was exceptional, great suite! Only down side if you stay in the spring suite you will smell the food being cooked directly below the room. The food at oscars restaurant was so good, and cheaper than our bill at restaurant in Windermere. We loved it, the staff were amazing.
Lovely little hotel tucked away in the Lakes, great views and plenty of parking. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff with a decent restaurant on site for both dinner and breakfast. Rooms were really warm which was great as it was pretty cold when we stayed.
Positives: Lovely staff who couldn’t be more helpful. The location of the hotel itself in relation to the town centre. Reasonable price for the room. The room itself was on the whole fine. The windows needed replacing as the frames were rotten.
The room in the annex part of building was excellent. Breakfast was good . Evening dinner was not available during our stay.
Hotel was very central for visit to Barrow in Furness and also travelling to the other parts of the Lake District
The location is good, you can find everything you need within a mile from the hotel.
The Majestic has a small carpark next to the hotel. It's probably the cheapest place in that area. The bathroom was decent. The bed was comfortable.
We have got breakfast at the time suitable for us - at any time at the morning.
Hotel stay in the good location. 5 min. to drive in the Town centre and 5 min. to move at another side from the Town Centre to the beach.
All Of It The Chetwynde Hotel was Beautifully Clean And All Of The Staff Were Really Nice And So Very Helpful. The Breakfast Was Lovely. And Its In A Ideal Location For The Lake District In Barrow In Furness.
First time staying at a "spoons" hotel, really happy with the hotel, nice large room, very clean much better than a premier inn with the advantage of cheap food and beer available downstaris
Great hotel located in the heart of barrow centre , clean well presented and friendly staff , havent really got any complaints about anything this is my second visit and won't be my last
Good location near town centre. Kitchen facilities and breakfast cereal etc. available. Fridge and large television in room. Good WiFi. Reasonable value for money.
Conveniently located, with a huge car park across the street (free after 6 pm and on Sundays) and good price for a town centre hotel. Nice front desk staff
