Very pretty town, lovely pubs and shops. Great fish and chip shop there. Framlingham Castle is amazing and well worth visiting. We ate at The Crown pub in the square which was a lovely old pub, serving delicious food.

We went to The Crown Hotel which was very nice. Food lovely and not too crowded. We also made a visit to Woodbridge. The quays were interesting but did not like the town. Very difficult to drive round one way system and parking was very difficult. We also went to nearby Aldeburgh. Parking was impossible. The parking app would not download and machine only took cash. So many people ended up walking in the road. Also no where to park. Snape Maltings were brilliant.

A small market town.
A small market town. I was there briefly on a Saturday so there was a small market with a variety of stalls, a few cafes and a variety of individual shops. I walked up to the castle, passing the church which would have been interesting to look round. I noticed some little lanes as I wandered round the centre which would have been interesting to explore and I believe there is a wildlife reserve close to the castle.

the Castle was delightful, all the english heritage staff were helpful and informative. the town was very pretty and we found the one cafe that served food all day for a late lunch. Its a pity that many cafes stopped serving by 2pm. We would have liked to stay longer but it was only a flying visit.
We had travelled from Wiltshire for a family funeral and needed somewhere close to Framlingham to overnight. Colston Hall was close by. Had slight difficulty in in driving to the lication through a SatNav hiccup but owners were very patient and over 4 phone calls guided us into the right locations. Very friendly reception. Room was excellent and provided the respite we needed. Breakfast was again excellent. Lovely quiet rural setting. Thank you.
Cottage has been refurbished, decorated and furnished to an excellent standard. Helpfully milk, biscuits etc. had been provided for our late(ish) arrival by our host. Everything was spotlessly clean and everything worked. Everything you need for a most comfortable weekend is provided.
Framlingham centre is only a short walk away and good coffee shops/restaurants and/or groceries are easily accessible.
Lovely clean characterful flat with new bathroom & kitchen. Excellent central location in Framlingham, within easy reach of the coast.
The bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathroom super with a great large shower. We appreciated the welcome pack of milk, eggs and tea etc being available and good information on the local area.
Perfectly equipped and a lovely base for exploring Framlingham and the surrounding area. Small but perfectly formed. Lynda left us some local apple juice and some Prosecco which was a nice touch. She was also very responsive to my queries.
The Snug is a great self contained place to stay within walking distance of Framlingham Castle and town centre. The accommodation was very comfortable and facilities good and as stated. Good parking too.
