The Edward hotel was a very homely environment with friendly helpful staff. The room was on the ground floor as requested . It was spacious with its own small en-suite. The room was by the side entrance which lead out to the garden , and also into the dinning area where breakfast was served. The hotel did not have a restaurant as such but it did have a microwave and a small fridge in the room. This was not a problem for us as there are plenty of restaurants and pubs within the town centre. The hotel was clean and you do not get disturbed with room service and cleaning. The hotel issues you with a key to which you let you self in with at the front door or side entrance which also opens your room door. It also had a bottle opener on the key ring which was a nice touch. The hotel was centrel to the city centre and the areas where you can visit such as the cathedral and venues for weddings and parties. Lovely little hotel which we would stay in again.
