We loved the setting of the bungalow, facing the loch, just stunning! Our room was comfortable and cosy, and very clean and inviting. Breakfast was delicious. Anna and Sandy are two of the nicest people we’ve come across on our many travels, they were very welcoming and friendly, we really enjoyed chatting with them both, they made us feel like old friends.. We can certainly recommend a stay with them!

The breakfast was a true delight - no grease and packed full of taste. Superb facilities and staff were friendly, polite and gave the impression that they were happy to help with any query. Stunning views as well, especially if you catch a break in the weather and have a sunny day over the Gairloch!

Staff are lovely and the room was spotless and very comfortable. The evening meal was absolutely delicious, expensive but nice and great waiting staff. I only stay here over the winter months (when working in the area) as the summer rates are so high!

We came up for me to go whale watching which was cancelled due to weather so that was disappointing as I had driven 9 hours for the trip, and had a couple of days either side due to the length of time it takes to get to Scotland but we made the most of it, cold dips inches sea and Loch, no vets for 70 miles, which is not ideal when yr dog is ill

We loved staying at "Willowbank" both indoors and outdoors, the fresh air and views of the changing mountain scenery. A few shorter hikes start from the town, which is also a good starting point for longer hikes. A visit to the local market on Tuesday was followed up by another the following week. A tour of Poolhouse was very informative about local history and Poolewe's role in WW2. 30 years ago Inverewe Garden surprised me but it is too expensive to visit again unless you are a member of the NTS.
There are not many options for shopping and dining in Poolewe when self catering, there are more options in Gairloch, a 10 minute drive away.

We ate at Poolewe Hotel (loved the venison burger), but Gairloch is better for more choice. The area has single-track roads at times. The scenery is wonderful wherever you go. Quiet and peaceful. Abundant wildlife - we saw seals in the Loch. Very convenient for visiting Inverewe Gardens.

Inverewe Garden, National Trust for Scotland is an outstanding desination.
The gardens are superb.
The facilities such as the Bothy Cafe, the gift shop and the boat trip are first class.
This is probably the best botanical garden in the UK with the possible exception of Kew. Its hard to choose between the two, they are different but both are highly individual and distinctive. Of the two, I prefer Inverewe as it's all oudoors. Just my opinion. Come and see for your sef!

The hotel was situated in a beautiful location with a large car park
at the rear. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. The room was very clean with a lovely clean bathroom and lots of space for clothing storage. There was a fantastic sea view from the window.
The one downside was that the restaurant was closed on our only
evening resident and had to dine in the bar. Despite that disappointment the food was very good and menu small but varied
choice. The breakfast was first class with an excellent choice to
suit all tastes.

You have to drive up through Gairloch and follow the road until the end. Stunning view to Skye and Harris/Lewis! You also have to take the road to the cove...stunning view! Great bread and cakes available on market day at the community hall!!!!! Delicious!
Excellent communication from the host, sent a message a day before with useful information and directions to the house with makes it a lot easier for us and we did not have to get in touch with him for anything. The house was clean, spacious and welcoming for a family like us. The house got the standard things needed in a house to keep things smooth while you’re away.
Wonderful find in a remote part of Scotland. It was a true island of civility in the wilderness. The host was thoughtful enough to send an email 10 days prior to our arrival pointing out that restaurant optipns in the area were limited and an advance reservation was a really good idea. Wifi service was solid and surprisingly speedy. Breakfast was perfect.
Well equipped kitchen 🙂. Beautuful house. Spacious rooms. The upstairs games room has fantastic views of surrounding area. Grand garden. Not far from the beaches. Inverewe gardens worth a visit.
Brilliant stocked shop in Poolewe.
Cake/pie van at bottom of road well worth treating yourself.
Hotel in a small town. Room was large and comfortable with a very big ensuite. Staff were very friendly and informative. Breakfast was very comprehensive and very great. We also had dinner on the night of our arrival which was a nice pub meal. Great view from our room.
Comfortable, immaculate room in an elegant house. The hosts were tremendous. Breakfast was great. They e-mailed us ahead of time advising us to book restaurants as they fill rapidly. The town itself had beautiful views. we would definitely stay here again.
We were self catering, but basics like tea/coffee/sugar were there if needed. Situation was ideal for our needs, close to facilities like cafe, general store and walks, and yet quiet. Parking was just outside the house - ideal for when it rained!
Very friendly and helpful owners. Excellent breakfast with a very good menu. Property was very clean, tidy and comfortable. Excellent meal at bar in the evening. Off road secure parking for my motorbike was provided. Would highly recommend.
Ross and Louise are superb hosts and Corriness House is a perfect place to stay in Poolewe. We appreciated the attention to comfort such as the comfortable bed, clean and well equipped bathroom and delicious breakfast.
Right next to water. Cute little town. Had a room for 3 and it was a good size. Comfortable bed. Food at restaurant served just to people staying at the hotel because they are short staffed. Food was awesome.
Welcoming and informed hosts who are great ambassadors for their locality. Flexibility with breakfast menu. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Stunning and constantly changing view. Very quiet.
Location was good and the house was clean. We met Jenny who looks after the house when she popped over to make sure everything was ok with the property. We found her to be friendly.
We enjoyed the amenity of being close to the town of Poolewe after visiting the beautiful Inverewe Gardens. The restaurant at the pub also serves lovely food.
Nice hotel. Great view from the room. Decent restaurant, although like all hotels suffers a bit from shortage of staff. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.
