22 Hill Hotel, hotel in Hafnarfjördur

This hotel is in Reykjavík city centre, only 100 metres from the popular Laugavegur shopping street. It offers a rich breakfast buffet and free high-speed WiFi.

Check in was straightforward. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and variety. The shower was very good, water a good temperature and very powerful. Bed was comfortable with plenty of bedding. Location is okay - a bit of a walk into the centre but not too far. Hotel and surrounding streets were quiet.

    Lovely little fishing village.

Lovely little fishing village. There is a couple supermarkets and some restaurants. There is a main bus stop 2 mins from the Viking Hotel which was so handy and the stop for the Flybus coach to the airport (approx £23 pp one way) was opposite the hotel which was super handy and you get a beautiful view of the harbour whilst you wait. We got off 2 stops early from Reykjavík one day and walked back to explore and there were some lovely sights on the way. It’s a really nice place that’s neat and tidy. Probably wouldn’t need more than half a day wandering round but it’s nice to see the town.

Great hotel. Was given a room upgrade.

Great hotel. Was given a room upgrade. The person at the reception desk was very helpful and recommended a great restaurant, A. Hansen, for dinner. Loved the shower head, felt like a personal waterfall. The room didn't have USB ports but fortunately I had a european plug adapter with me. The wifi was excellent.

    Such a cute town!

Such a cute town! Small enough to feel cozy but also large enough to actually have restaurants and groceries! The whole town is very clean-like not a piece of trash anywhere. It’s so lovely & nice that it almost feels like it’s a movie set. we stayed on the water so the views were spectacular. It’s a short drive to Reykjavik so if you want to bustle of a city, you can have it in a few minutes. Its also a short drive to the blue lagoon so you can relax all day in the lagoon then make it back easily to Hafnarfjorour. Every person we met spoke English very well in the town so there were no communications issues. Pallet coffee shop is a lovely coffee shop with the friendliest staff and delicious bottomless coffee. Our first morning in town, we spent a couple hours just sipping coffee and talking with locals. Hotel Viking is cute. The rooms are nice and the staff friendly. We rented a car which made our stay very easy and everything in town was convenient.

    What an awesome place!

What an awesome place! It was very conveniently located but in a nice and quiet residential area. The place was really clean and felt new; and it had everything you might need for a longer stay or a shorter one.

Hafnarfjordur was a good central location for getting to/from the airport, Reykjavik town and the Blue Lagoon. There were a few nice restaurants nearby which reception told us about, Von Mathus and Krydd and we got takeaway from Dominoes which was also up the road from our hotel. We loved being near the 'World Class Gym' and got temporary membership.

If you like vikings AND Iceland, this is the place to stay at. Their viking theme is very well played out! Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet (especially the waffles), though the coffee might need an update (to be fair, I'm picky when it comes to coffee). Best viking themed souvenirs (most authentic looking) in that part of Iceland. Their hot tub is awesome after a long day of exploring and hiking :)

When you stay with Arni, you get a slice of real Iceland. The accommodation is roomy and clean and the vintage decor adds to the homely feel. Arni was an attentive and caring host and that enhanced our visit. The facilities are basic but everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is very well situated for getting around Hafnarfjordur, with easy parking. We enjoyed our stay, thanks Arni!

The location was in an excellent position to explore what Iceland has to offer. the Room itself was amazing for me and 2 friends with shops just down to road this location was great. the facilities in the kitchen were all there (Pans, Pots, Cutlery, Oven, Microwave, Fridge and Dish Washer) We honestly felt like this was one of the best locations we stayed in whilst in Iceland!

Thelma and her family are quite lovely.. the communication is easy and uncomplicated. The apartment is very close to Reykjavik Downtown and near to many places like the Nationalpark, volcanoes and geothermal areas. We didn’t miss anything and had a great time in Iceland. The Hotel Vellir was the last stop on our two week stay in Iceland. It was convenient to Reykjavik and the airport. The staff was friendly and let's not forget the filling breakfast with heart shaped waffles. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. It was a great last night.

Location in between airport and Reykjavik. Not far from the city. Lots of parking spot. Gym inside the hotel but there is another gym nearby. Near N1 gas station. The staff are great. They also offer different tours. We will stay in this hotel again for future trips in Iceland.

This hotel had the most comfortable beds out of all we stayed at during our trip. The location was excellent for a less than half hour trip to the airport for an early morning flight. Check in was super easy, the room was spacious and immaculately clean.

We arrived on an early flight and the employee onsite did everything she could to get us into our room early so that we could rest. The hotel was conveniently located near two grocery stores and Go Campers, where we picked up our camper van.

The hotel is located nicely on the seashores, we found the concept of a Viking styled hotel really cool. The breakfast is tasty. Enough parking lots in the area. The restaurant serves delicious Icelandic food.
