Los Barrios is a beautiful andalusian town with very warm people and both a lovely rural countryside behind it and a coastal pueblo called Palmones with very good restaurants and a big shopping area .

Ideal for those historians amongst you (loads of history)...
Ideal for those historians amongst you (loads of history) but also beautiful beaches, café's restaurants and nearby Gibraltar. The best of both worlds for beach holiday lovers and those who want to explore the area
We were pleased with the spacious parking area and enjoyed the very easy and pleasant check in process. Our room was immaculate and well sized. We checked out the pool area in front of the hotel and well kept gardens under enormous Mediterranean pines. Our treatment by staff during pre-dinner drinks and the buffet dinner was most correct. The hotel is large and spacious and appealed to us. We stay often in the Algeciras area for work reasons and Hotel Guadacorte will be our first choice next time.
While our family was thoroughly impressed by the expansive and delightful breakfast selection, we encountered a few setbacks during our stay. The room assigned for our family of four was quite cramped, making movement and relaxation a bit challenging. We noticed that some rooms carried an unpleasant smell of cigarette, which was quite off-putting. It's a pity because the breakfast experience was genuinely top-notch. We hope the hotel addresses these concerns for future guests.
The room was very spacious and extremely quiet which is great when travelling with a toddler.
The breakfast was superbly presented, all individually wrapped due to Covid precautions which made us feel much more comfortable.
The location of the hotel was fabulous for us visiting Gibraltar, not too far away to travel to our location and there were also facilities that we could walk to from the hotel.
Its a Holiday Inn - standard and expected rooms, decent sized, clean but they are dated rooms, Rooms came with beds that were ok sized, desk to work, closets to hand clothes, big sized shower. Room also had a kettle which was great for making tea in the morning. Hotel is also located to a large shopping centre, with a food court and some shops and cinemas.
We chose the hotel due to its location close to Gibraltar. If you plan to visit Gibraltar, it's a great option for a quality stay just 20 min away the border.
- Good price/quality ratio
- Free parking in front
- Comfy beds and overall great XP
If we were to travel to Gibraltar again, we'd gladly stay there again.
The hotel is clean and tidy, the swimming pool area is amazing, and the room is nice and cool despite how hot it was when we visited. Staff very friendly, although some struggled to understand English (my Spanish is terrible), although we managed to get by. Staff also helpful arranging taxis to destinations.
It had a very good value for money. We were travelling as a family of 4 and paid 80 eur for the stay including the breakfast! Room was nice, breakfast better, that expected and stuff helpful. It was the best option for visiting Gibraltar, where hotels charge a lot more :)
I've being a few times and will go back soon. For me the hotel is very good. Friendly employees. Good service. The only thing l must say is that l rang Room Service for a coffee and after 20mins cancelled it as l think they were taking very long
Very comfy and huge bed. Good breakfast. If You like shopping the hotel is "attached" to shopping mall building. On a road - can not imagine a longer stay than one night.
