Zakopane is a perfect place to stay before your mountain trips. You have plenty of places to spend a night in, to eat, and to buy what's needed. It is the core center of the transport connection to smaller villages/nature locations as well.
Don't stay only in Zakopane though! Go and see the natural beauty around you. Zakopane is a "port" to me, not the destination.

I love it the!
I love it the! Ideally located for mountain lovers wanting different levels of engagement:) It’s good for the beginners in hiking or people that just want to walk a bit and otherwise chill in in the thermal baths or use cable cars to access the peaks. Zakopane it’s fantastic for those that like skiing, winter sports but also proper hiking, mountaineering or trail running. The routes are very well marked and there is a phone reception almost everywhere in the national park. The city itself offers really good connections to the starting points of all the routes, buses are plenty, many options and reasonably priced. Shops are open very early and stay open until 23 which is very useful. You can get there both by bus, train or a car. There are plenty spots to rent bikes and cycling routes are also well marked.
I love it!
Maybe what could be improved would be a centralised information for tourists that could be easily accessible. One can find all the information When searching for it but for the lazy souls it would be helpful to have it all in one place :)

When I go to a mountain resort at the end of February, I expect to see white. It was green. This was just a recce for skiing next year. I won't return here to ski. And walking up Kasprowy Wierch was a nice day, but the slush underfoot says that it's a no go ski area. Beautiful town. Not for skiing.
The breakfast was exceptional. Great selection and superb quality of food. The room was spotless, cosy and very comfortable. The whole hotel was beautiful, staff attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We were catching an early flight and had to leave before the breakfast was served on the last day. The staff offered to pack us a picnic to take with us - it was so lovely (they even packed us hot drinks!). I would definitely recommend Aries Hotel & Spa and not doubt we will be back :-)
The room and hotel is very nice and unique, in a local wooden style. Exceptionally clean, new furniture, balkony, and the view to the ski slopes. The breakfast was great, as it is usually every where in Poland! The guys at reception spoke several languages including Ukrainian, which was also pleasant. The hotel has kids area near the breakfast room - play room and the places to seat.
Hotel was really close to Krupówki, the main attraction in Zakopane. All other tourist attractions were easily accessible. The man at the reception who worked at night was able to help us really well. At night our neighbours were really loud and we left a complaint at the reception. He moved us to a bigger room for the same price which was totally quite.
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful,
but the the younger ladies from house keeping and breakfast were very rude also the breakfast was terrible cheapest products used, not fresh, honestly the worst breakfast I’ve ever had in Poland wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody and will never come back. Stay away from this place.
I like the location of the hotel - off to the side yet, close enough to Zakopane's main drag (Krupówki) allowing us to explore until late into the night and without a worry to get home. The view from the balcony was also very nice. The added feature was a nice breakfast buffet and an opportunity to take food outside.
Fresh and very comfy - like at home. There is a set of board games in different languages we liked a lot. Jacuzzi and sauna one floor up from 17.00 till 21.00 just what we needed to relax after skiing (for free). Definetely will stay next time when in Zakopane.
Beautiful mountain view room...!!! Staff super friendly.
In the centre of Zakopane...seconds away from Krupówki and all the restaurants and live music venues. Hotel ala vintage :) but i really enjoyed the stay. Will be back for sure.
The room was spacious and well-equipped. The staff is friendly and always supportive. The location is good, close to the supermarket and center. Overall, it is a great place to stay that we'll come back to if ever again in Zakopane.
Great service, nice location for those who comes to ski. Good breakfasts, everything is discussable, for e. g. there is a possibility to invite friends to spa zone (who is not a hotel resident). Will come back in the future.
Zakopane is lovely town, full of restaurants. Skiing slopes are near, great aquapark, perfect conditions for cross country skiing. Hotel is in a perfect quiet place. Rooms are spacious, good breakfast, comfortable beds.
A stunning hotel, our room was really spacious too. In a great location, not far from the Main Street in Zakopane. Would definitely return, especially when the spa is open (we know it was closed when we booked)
Hotel is located right in the heart of Zakopane on the main walking street. Interior is made of wood which gives it's uniqueness to the place. Food in restaurant was quiet tasty.
