Figueres is a slightly shabby town though perfectly friendly and people mostly come here for the Dali museum. Were stayed for a couple of days rest at the end of our long GR11 hike - its much cheaper than Barcelona! tbh though there isn't a lot to do here.

Very nice little town!!
Very nice little town!! People are nice , the restaurants are affordable, they had a really nice food market on Thursday morning! It was perfect!
Its a little town though so 3-4 days is long enough ;)
Be sure to visit the Dali Museum, it’s just unfortunate that the paintings are not better explained. An audio guide would have been appreciated.
The best churros were right around the corner from Duran Hotel!!!

I didn't come for the Dali Museum and didn't go to it.
I didn't come for the Dali Museum and didn't go to it. But Figueres is a pleasant and friendly town and I enjoyed exploring it. It is also a good base for visiting and walking in the surrounding countryside. I had a couple of excellent longish walks in the Serra de Rodes (on two of the megalithic trails) and there is clearly much more to explore.

Trip to the Salvadore Dali museum was excellent,
Food in some cafes inexpensive even in the main Ramblas area.
Visited the St Ferran castillo (N11A north of Figueres). English tours ob specific days of the week. In my opinion not suitable if walking is restricted. There is a 20 min overview in several languages inside. 5€ for standard enttrance. Guided tour 16 euros.

It’s better to go when it’s less crowded, around 12 it’s full of people so better to go earlier in the morning. It takes about 3 hours to observe everything.
If you plan on having a english speaking guide plan way ahead.

I was just passing through to the Pyrenees and it is a good destination to get to from Barcelona by train if you are planning to cycle the Pyranees as I did. The real only attraction in the town is Dali's museum which I never visited. The train from Barcelona is fast and stops only 3 times before reaching Figueres. It does seem as if it is used by a large number of comuters that live in Girona and travel the hour into the city every day so best times to travel areout of peak hours.
I have stayed here several times. I love the location, the plaza is great! There is a lot to do apart from the Museum, which is a must. The apartments are very comfy and have a lot of space. TV and internet was great. Has an elevator if you need it. I love the vibe of Figueres. Went with my whole family this time and everyone loved it. Safe for the kids/teenagers to be around and enjoy.
The staff were very helpful. The family room consisted of one room with a double bed with an adjoining room with 2 twin beds and a door and bathroom separating them which was very convenient with children. The hotel was very clean. Good location and we had a discount for parking in the next door public car parking area.
Excellent service by staff! They moved us to their other very close property, Hostal Isabel II, in order to offer us a better room upon late check in. Great big twin beds, brand renewied bedroom. Very centrally located, not even 5 minutes walk to Dalí Museum and free car parking next to the hotel.
The apartment is right in the city center, next to the Tourist Office and the brand new Dali Museum.
The owner was most helpful, and provided us many useful pieces of advice in order to visit the Alt Emporda.
The apartment is very cozy, and nicely decorated.
Stayed with friends riding through Spain, Portugal and France on our motorbikes.
Very pleasant overnight stay. Convenient location, clean and tidy rooms, friendly and engaging staff, cold beer and decent food too.. would happily return and recommend.
There was a quiet fridge with two bottles of cold water waiting for us. The staff were great. We even got a second chair. The hotel is almost next door to the Dali museum and the bountiful art in the hotel is appropriately quirky.
Excellent location: 10 min walk to the train/bus station, 8 min to Dali Museum, overlooking La Rambla. Nice narrow balcony. Very clean and well-cared for apartment. High ceilings. Comfortable beds.
It’s a good halfway point between our holiday home and France where our family live.
Great to be able to walk our dog from the hotel.

We have been in Trave few months ago and we liked it so we stayed there again. Hotel is nice, staff is friendly and helpful and location is good. We'll come back again soon.
Comfortable room, bedding, clean, bright, powerful shower, good lighting, free coffee is a huge bonus, dog friendly, all as expected from this good value chain of hotels.
