Sierra Lodge Three Rivers, hotel in Sequoia

This Three Rivers hotel is only 3 miles from the southern entrance of Sequoia National Park. The hotel offers a multilingual staff, seasonal outdoor pool, and free pastries every morning.

This a a typical 1950-1960s Americana motel, having seen better days. The layout of the rooms, the decor and just the original craftmanship is all-American. Back in the day this must have been a true wonder. The receptionist was very kind, and being silly Danes we took him for a Native American, but he is in fact from Bangladesh. Getting there and driving on the landscapes were breathtaking. We were woken by wild turkeys and and some rain, giving this motel just a bit more value. We had a good night's sleep, had a few hot baths, and were on our way.

The Sequoia Hut!, hotel in Sequoia

The Sequoia Hut! is located in Three Rivers and offers a garden and barbecue facilities. The property has garden views.

The check-in with the code of numbers was super easy and comfortable. The area was quiet and the condo was very cozy. Even better than we expected. We could have stayed there for a few more days, but it was only a stop inbetween on our way from San Francisco to Las Vegas to see the Sequoia trees. The condo is located very well to drive to the General Sherman tree. You also have a supermarket and a few restaurants only a few minutes drive away.

Situated in Three Rivers, Shady Knoll features accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. The air-conditioned accommodation is 6 km from Sequoia.

Very nice place, clean and homey, lots of nice small touches, snacks and wine. Fully equipped to cook, including salt, spices, oil etc… Two big rooms with 2 bathrooms were perfect for our family. There are several deck/terrasse on each side, so you can enjoy the sunrise or sunset depending on your preference. The property is close to the park entrance. We only stayed for one night on our way out of the park, but we would stay longer. It was very relaxing and confortable.

We loved taking the tram from the Giant Forest Museum.

We loved taking the tram from the Giant Forest Museum. It takes you all over. We hiked up Moro Rock for a beautiful view (avoid if scared of heights) and hiked to see Thorpe's Log. Then, we visited General Sherman (largest tree in the world). It was gorgeous weather when we went. The more hiking you do, the less people you'll see. So, we loved the hikes.

    Beautiful.

Beautiful. Everyone should take this drive and enjoy the beauty and top notch accommodations. Silver City Resort is a must stay. The windy road is a bit much and not for those who get car sick easily. But worth every yucky tummy. Breath taking views with an abundance of star lit sky.

    This place is beautiful.

This place is beautiful. I only stayed one day, I wish I would have stayed longer. There is so much to see and so much hiking. Some of the trails can be a bit much for little ones but there is a lot of areas to stop and rest. I went on October and a lot of things were closed off due to wild fires and covid. Don't be discouraged by this there is still a lot to see and do.

We loved our adventures and sightseeing but found the "facilities" in dire need monitoring and cleaning. The restrooms were NOT clean, had no soap, hand sanitizer or paper towels! I know the Park gets lots of visitors but there SHOULD be enough staff to maintain the restrooms better!

Important decision makers, including but not limited to politicians, need to hike for a couple of days around Sequoia National Park. Real walks and quiet reflection would enlighten the uninformed person about the value and importance of natural treasures. The Sequoias and Coastal Redwoods might be the most spectacular living part of the United States.

It was very convenient that all meals were provided and snacks too and the coffee was better than average! The food was average, not at all fancy, and with some variety. The location right in/ next 2 Kings Canyon and Sequoia Parks is fantastic which was the primary reason I chose it and it was available with short notice.

The location was excellent, and the reason e picked Stony Creek,, because it was between the hikes at Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon. The breakfast was good, except for the last day when the coffee machine broke down. The room was clean, except the wifi didn't work well, ans we were basically without service.

Location on the road connecting Sequoia and Kings Canyon makes the lodge very convenient; many hikes nearby. There is a lake with canoes, kayaks, etc.. for guests to use. Dinner was buffet style, with good choices; there was live music and s’mores afterwards. Nice wrap-around deck with amazing views.

The Sequoia National Forest is beautiful. the air is fresh the trees are tall and the sky is blue. We came up from the valley to escape the heat, we wanted the Grant Grove area and lodging is super limited so we pulled the trigger on Montecito Lodge even though the reviews are crazy.
