We like the town alright …we have friends there and enjoy time with them. However, I made the mistake of thinking that if we paid a bit more for a Comfort Suites Hotel, it would be nicer than the Red Roof we had visited the year before…WRONG!!! The Red Roof Inn was a much better experience. Why in the world would Comfort Suites put a bed right next to a window with NO CURTAIN, when there are Stalag 17 style security lights right outside the window???!!? It was High Noon in the room all night long. I’d ve asked to be moved, but we got in late, we’re leaving early, and had a lot of stuff we didn’t want left in the car.

Cute city not far from Nashville, right near the base, if your kids love the military like ours! Great variety of food choices! The people are interesting. Try to stay off Wilma Rudolph it won’t happen but just plan an extra 30 minutes to get to your destination

I only knew about Fort Campbell, famous for being the home of the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division (Band of Brothers Fame). I'm a military retiree so I like to tour different military installations. Fort Campbell's Post Exchange is one of, if not THE, largest in the system. I wanted to shop there. :) The area has a few of its own unique attractions but it's also 30 minutes from Nashville, which offers a plethora of other attractions.

Clarksville is a "military" town, being close to Fort Campbell. Its main thruway is Wilma Rudolph Blvd., it can get pretty congested at times. There is lots of places to eat and shop. It's not far from Nashville. There are winery's and distilleries that you can tour.

We always stay at La Quinta and have even stayed at this one...
We always stay at La Quinta and have even stayed at this one about 5 years ago. This last stay was very disappointing and we will not be back. The room felt dirty, the bed was extremely uncomfortable there was a spring coming through the mattress, there was hair in the shower, the pool was filthy, the exit door by the pool was propped open for anyone to enter the hotel, and you could smell weed and see the smoke in the hallway.
This was our first experience with a Home 2 Suites and we were highly pleased. We mainly decided on Home 2 Suites because of their pet friendly-ness. We have stayed at Home 2 Suites for the majority of our trip since then, only having to switch to other hotels because there was no Home 2 Suites in the area we were traveling. We actually made some small changes to our routes to be able to stay at Home 2 Suites. Staff at Clarksville was very pleasant.
Great breakfast buffet. Decent selection of foods. The hotel is a bit older as are the rooms. However there is an outdoor pool and 2 indoor pools, along with an indoor hot tub and sauna. For us, this was worth the price after a long day of driving. The hotel is also pet friendly which was great. Just down the street are a number of restaurants and stores if needed.
It was quite. Except for a random person that pulled up and then knocked on random doors asking for a charger and then pulled off, No one else bothered us, it was like we forgot we were in a hotel. And when I bothered staff for towels bc I missed room service or the couple times I misplaced key, they accommodated me like it wasn’t the slightest of a bother.
The location is off the boulevard. If you’ve stayed in Clarksville you know the hotels on exit 4 are all nice this one is tucked behind Chick-fil-a and is not so nice. Breakfast maybe fine but I never tried it I was not impressed with the cleanliness or lack there of in the lobby
I loved the Front desk clerk Tom! He made it simple and fast to check in. Very good customer service. This hotel is pet friendly. My Yorkie was able to stay in the room. The Hotel is located by restaurants and the mall.
I liked where the hotel was located and how close it is to other restaurants. The hotel itself is very pretty and the view is okay. It had a generally friendly atmosphere and the staff were very helpful.
Modern decorated, clean, convenient to Northern Clarksville area. Fun theme (coffee!). Excellent communication with owner including quick responses. Rooms are spacious. Kitchen supplies all your needs.
No breakfast and the room was dirty like the floors were not clean at all and not enough towels for two people and the ad said free breakfast and that was not true at all
Hotel location is convenient for restaurants and interstate but far from downtown. Room was ok, bed wasn't so bad for the price. Towels were old and pillows a bit hard.
