Everything was great, - the room, the pool, friendly staff. Breakfast was ok, and there were new options every day.
It's a bit far from the city, but it's also very quiet and calm place with little traffic.
Many different restaurants, shops, massage salounes right outside of the door. Totally worth the money.
The charming Kantary Bay is a beach-front hotel, 15 minutes away from Phuket town.

We expected the pool to be crowded but it wasn't that much.
Morning staff in the restaurant and trainee guy from reception were very friendly.
Breakfast was nice and very complete.

Very disapointing I came with high expectations and they were not fullfiled:
1. The staff at the front desk were not friendly at all. I arrived after a long flight to Thiland and hardly a smile from any of the receptionists.
I was looking for some attractions to do and was looking through their book for about half an hour trying to decide what to choose. No one aproached or tried to help or offer advice. That happened twice.
2. It was my birthday, and a family member from
US waned to order a surprise cake for me. He called me up to ask if I got it, I had no idea what he was talking about, aperantly they just left it in the room fridge without notifying me at all + did no add the note he asked to print for me.
3. When I arrived I asked where can I change money. The receptionist said "turn right and walk 10 minutes" , the problem is after you start going right, there are 2options of turns and no one to ask as there is litrelly nothing around. They could be a bit more specific..
4. I had some ants in the room+ 2 baby spiders. I understand this is a tropical island and yet this is a 5 star resort.
5. There is no gegi milk option in the restaurant
for coffee. Only cow milk. I woul think in 2023 there ould be at least one other option for vegans.
6. There is more but I made my point..

My wife and I rate this beach experience as excellent for swimming (but not for surfing!), and although best not to swim at lower tides due to the exposed reef, medium and hight tides are excellent. It's safe , protected from the surf, and clean for kids and beginner swimmers. Best things are the great service provided by the KANTARY hotel (by a covered vehicle), departing every 15 minutes, and the free towels (for Kantary guests) and affordable restaurant at the Panwa Beach, located just over the hill.

Panwa Beach is very peaceful, away from the crowds, but not dead. There are people walking along the beach and a handful of bar/restaurants along the shore, but it isn't too loud or crazy at night. A nice peaceful getaway. As for the swimming, maybe not the best as the ground under the water along the beach seemed to have a lot of large rocks and other items in it. I wouldn't exactly recommend it for swimming. But for relaxing, boating, getting a few drinks, it's great. My recommendation would be to stay at a resort/hotel along Panwa and renting a car so that you can drive to other beaches for swimming, such as Ya Nui beach.

There was a small beach close to our apartment which was located next to Panwa Cape Viewpoint. This beach is very private, small but beautiful. Another bigger beach which is called Panwa Beach is close to the hotel Cape Panwa Hotel. There is regular free shuttle bus from Kantari Hotel to Cape Panwa Hotel, which is provides daily every 20 minutes.

Staff were very friendly , my room on the first njgt had a massive leak in the ceiling - so had a night of dripping sounds onto the floor. I requested a new room the next morning and was moved to a similar room ( with a less good view but no complaints there it was dry so that’s what counts).
Generally found the resort in need of a big update - looks and feels very dated.

Ao yon beach is small, peacefull, quite area.
Ao yon beach is small, peacefull, quite area. Sea experience 9/10 but dont forget to take sea shoe there is little amount of rock in the sea... beautifull beach and view... rent a longtail boat from the Village people for the islands around..
all the staff were very friendly and helpful, room was large and cleaned daily also towels and sheets were changed daily; Breakfast was delicious with a great choice. The rooftop pool was great with amazing views and never crowded. Gardens are well looked after and the shuttle to Kantary Bay hotel was every 15 mins. We stayed for 3 weeks and wish we had booked longer, a credit to every member of staff.
We really liked the location as we prefer areas that are not super touristy. The hotel is directly I front of the beach. The beach itself is beautiful and not super crowded like some of the other areas in Phuket. Although Ao Yon Beach/Cape Panwa is a little bit out of the way from other tourist attractions, it is easy to get around. I recommend using the Bolt App for transportation.
If Instagram had a hotel, this would be it,. If you are an Instagramer then yes come here and fill your stories/reels, it's the place to be in Phuket. If you are annoyed at people setting up Instagram shots and asking complete strangers to arrange a shot like it's there wedding then run, go somewhere else. Look it's looks great and feels great.... kind of like an Instagram reel...
I love the panwa beach, we went there during man-soon when the sea very rough on other places, panwa is really calm. my kids loved the giant pools, playroom and beach facilities. the hotel offers everything, from canoo to Thai box. the stuff is amazing, the upgraded our room to a pool villa. we had a lovely stay in Pullman. highly recommend for families with children.
Beautiful hotel room with pool. Great private location, away from the tourist location. Access to beach and walk on the beach to different hotel resort cafe/restaurants. Comfy bed, not super hard. Hotel taxi is comparable to Grab. 7/11 5-7 min walk. Nice staff, Jira was so sweet.
The Resort is maintained in a excellent condition.
The Hotel Manager Derek and Staff provided an excellent service and were very helpful, very courteous and pleasant.
IHG should be very proud of the operation and condition of the resort provided by Derek
Our stay was amazing, the hotel is a good 5five stars hotel. The staff super friendly and try to help every time we needed it. The only thing I didn’t like is the food in the buffet and breakfast were cold. They should try to keep the food warm.
Beach bar downstairs was great location, quiet but with a vibe and open area of beach and sea.
Nice pool overlooking the sea view.
Great location next to restaurants and massage shops, easy to get around by taxi to other parts of Phuket.
The hotel location is very convenient, and the room with the cape view is great. Our stay was very smooth, and we are thankful for the hotel staff, Khun Kik, Khun Waen, and Khun Pupae who provided professional services and hospitality.
Friendly staff, very clean facilities, as far as, I can tell had everything I needed, good value.if you go d a good deal. Honestly if you looking to stay somewhere south of phuket you can't go wrong with the Mooring Resort.
I loved the laidback atmosphere of the place. Good food at affordable prices. Great bed. Beautiful surroundings. Nice to paddle up the river at high tide. Free shuttle to Old Phuket on weekends.
The hotel sits on a nice view of the ocean, its nice to enjoy a private pool while surrounded by nice views and greenery with comes with disadvantage of more mosquitoes.
