Hilton Kota Kinabalu, hotel in Gaya Island

Nestled in the heart of Kota Kinabalu City, Hilton Kota Kinabalu boasts four dining options, a cocktail bar and an outdoor rooftop pool with a bird’s eye view of the city and harbor.

Hari Raya is a time where we seek some quality time with the family. Being in the hospitality industry the last thing we personally don't feel like doing is yet another hosting session. Hilton Kota Kinabalu provided a wonderful avenue for us to spend quality time together and being pampered by the friendliness of their team, the food and the pool ! Love it here. We appreciated the fact the early check in, the delicious food, the many gazebos and lazy chairs at the pool area and the eco friendly toiletries -Crabtree & Evelyn shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc in refillable big bottles rather than small one time use plastic bottles. A memorable, relaxing stay. Left feeling rejuvenated for sure :)

The staff are exceptional. The variety of food is amazing.

The staff are exceptional. The variety of food is amazing. Facilities were in good condition and easily accessible. I expected we may be able to hike a few trails on the island but this was not possible. It surprised me for such a relaxed place that you needed more formal attire (trousers, closed shoes and collared shirt for) for one of the restaurants. We weren’t prepared for that. Sunset cruise was brief but great

We had an incredible stay here.

We had an incredible stay here. The island team go to great lengths to make sure their guests are well looked after. At dinner the chef came out to say hello and wish us a happy anniversary! Wow! Our room - should I say house? - was amazing. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, turn down service at night, great food, gorgeous settings and the nicest staff team ever. Highly recommended!

A beautiful island the hotel was a high standard but food and drinks are very pricey. we were transferred by a shuttle boat which took 10 minutes it was included in the cost of our booking but we heard other people say they were not aware of the extra costs. our villa was at the top of a steep hill with amazing views. and was a beautiful villa there was nothing on their website saying about steep hills and steps so be aware when you book . this would not put me off from going again we would definately return! snorkeling was amazing with lots of fish. we also went to the private beach which was stunning. we ate in the restaurant for a buffet evening meal there were lots of choice and lovely fresh hot food the staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you and so helpful a wonderful place to stay.

Staff we're amazing, treated you like a celebrity and made you feel very special at every opportunity. Was treated to an anniversary cake and we had really attentive service. The island itself is stunning, and the activities on offer are amazing. Would love love to come back. Clara was our lead host, and she was lovely and sweet.

The location is amazing, the staff is very friendly and the spa treatments are really good. But that’s about it, the rest is a disaster, incredibly expensive and NOT a 5-star hotel. I went there to relax for a few days, it was impossible to relax anywhere.
