I extended my stay after 6 nights to another two days at the deluxe queen room and i could've stayed there for longer - the AC was perfect, the room itself like a garden house with a little terrace in front. Had a kettle for the first coffee/tea to enjoy out there. Could also change the lighting inside from an intense white to a more warm and that made it very cozy. For me it was very quiet, so i could sleep easy. Also the person helping me carry my luggage to the first room, gave a great tip where to rent a motorbike and it was also a trustworthy service.

It had a room available. If Rung was on reception then I could communicate with staff. Rung was friendly & eager to be of service. There was instant cofffee & free packets of snacks provided in the room. It’s almost next to Tom’s kitchen which is a very good eatery.

I really enjoyed Wat Khao Tham and Apichada view point where I can visit by walk.
There are lots of tasty local food with reasonable price. Especially I liked MAMA local restaurant.
Also, I liked carrot cake from Croissant & Ko. They have lots of cakes and pastry it was difficult to chose!!!
You can see the sunset from the beach.

This side of the island is considered the most alive as it is close to the pier and there are a lot of bars, street markets and super markets. I would recommend it as a convenient option for accomodation.

I had to go to renew my visa so needed to be close to the pier. Baan TAi is good if you want to be close to Thongsala & cheap food & things happening & Secret Garden is a lovely quiet place. However Baan Tai is very noisy and busy if you want real tranquillity go elsewhere.

Baan Tai is convenient for those who want to party and get to Haad Rin, Jungle parties and the floating pier parties easily. However, if you are looking for a bit more quiet, but still within easy reach of some dancing, I would recommend the west side of the island. Srithanu and Zen beach, especially if you are travelling on your own. Much friendlier. :)

Quite a small area but with great beaches and loads of choice for restaurants and bars. A good location for the moon parties and pre parties, and lots of places nearby to buy tickets. Many places to see further around the island but you would need to hire a moped or book a tour.

Ban Tai is the place to be in Koh Phangan.
Ban Tai is the place to be in Koh Phangan. Haad Rin might be too crazy for some given the Full Moon Party Atmosphere. Anything North of Thong Sala might be too secluded to some. Ban Tai is the perfect center
My partner and I travelled Thailand for 3 weeks and this was the only hostel we stayed at during that time. Staying at Sarana was our favorite (even compared to some expensive hotels) BY FAR. Incredible location right on the beach, friendly staff, couldn’t fault it at all especially given the price. We plan to come back to Thailand again just to come back here for a week we had such a good time. Highly recommend hiring a scooter and spend a few days exploring up and down the coast. We will 100% be coming back to this specific place.
We stayed at Billabong Hotel for 2 nights for Full Moon Party and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a good location - close to several restaurants, bars, 7/11 etc. The restaurant/pool area is tastefully decorated and the room was comfortable. The hotel arranged a taxi for us to Haad Rin beach for the Full Moon Party for 150 THB per person, which is good value. The German owner is a nice guy and the staff are friendly.
My husband and I went to koh Phangan to experience the full moon party but didn’t want to stay in it so this hotel was perfect as it was a short drive on a Moto from the festivities. Jodi the owner was super helpful in getting us checked in even though it was late.
The resort is as beautiful- right on the beach and just quiet enough. The sat pool party was also very fun. Would definitely recommend!
Phangan Arena is the place to be on Koh Phangan! There is stuff going on every night. They'll tell you where the parties are every night and join you with other people so it's a great starting point for any traveler. Great value for money too. If you don't enjoy sharing a dorm room with others the single rooms are a decent option.
Room and bathroom very good size. We had the best massage at Pharaoh Spa. The location was not great as inland from main road and 2km of dirt road to get to hotel. Could not walk to main road or streets. No beach as well so cannot walk as water comes upto the wall of hotel. We had dinner at the restaurant and the pizza was good.
Hotel has a perfect location, it is close to grocery, beach, food court, restaurant and bars. Owners of the place are very welcoming. They helped us a lot with every problem that we had. Rooms are clean and have good facilities. It is also possible to rent a bike at the place.
Staff was welcoming smily and helpful
Room was clean, spacious and the bed was confortable. Bathroom was clean and functional
The food is very good, breakfast more than honest. The situation is perfect, just a second to access the beach. Hotel calm
We highly recommend 😄
This hotel is a hidden gem. With its secluded location and small private beach, it offers a serene getaway. The restaurant serves great food, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a memorable stay.
For the price you pay its a nice place. We were there in the middle of high season and the price was very reasonable. Location is amazing, on a beautiful, quiet beach.
The owner was really nice and drove us to our next hotel.
Great staff. Good food at the restaurant. Quiet property perfectly situated on the Beach close to pretty much everything on the island. Rooms are simple and equipped with all the basics.
The location was good, easy to reach. It was right on the beach where you could watch amazing sunsets. I loved hanging out on the hammock and watching the sea. Relaxing, quiet place.
Only waking up close to the beach was nice. Also the people working there always tried to be friendly. But because of the owner our impression of this hotel is very bad.
