Hunstanton is easy to get around we only used the car to get there and come back. I was disappointed when I saw Bingo advertised on an Amusement Arcade in Big Lights on the sea front and when I went inside, there was no Bingo. Ate at the following places Henrys Fish and Chips, The Norfolk Deli Cafe, Northgate Indian Restaurant and the Salad Bowl. Food lovely at all, especially at Henrys. It was busy at Northgate Restaurant, and I felt rushed. Drank at The Wash and Tope, O'Quigleys Bar who had a singer, everyone was up dancing and the Mariners Inn - all very different from each other.

We paid for an upgrade and there was hardly anyone staying there but were given a small dark room with very dark furniture, not what we had anticipated at all. Attention to detail was good and the place very clean. Wouldn't class the restaurant as fine dining, perhaps caught them at a bad time!! Disappointed all round.

For the time of year enough shops and cafes open. Plenty of places to eat. Lots of open spaces for walking. In height of summer it probably has a different feel. For late autumn a really slow gentle pace.

Easy access to beach and great walks along seafront. Ideal to let our dog run on the beach at this time of year. Very clean surroundings in Hunstanton and gardens all maintained to high standard. Old Hunstanton was great to walk to, lovely little town. Fish and chips from Vegas chip shop were delicious !

Hunstanton is a good seaside town, it's clean there's a funfair for kids, best fish and chips for mile's, there's not lots of shops but kings Lynn is just a few minutes away. The beaches are clean and a good base to visit surrounding areas.

The location was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was tasty. Car parking was free in front of the hotel, but such was the location one could walk to most things. Miniature golf, beach walks , the funfair, boat trips, and plenty of various shops and restaurants all within easy walking distance. There was an emergency affecting myself and partner whilst at hotel, which the staff coped with well, and impressed me especially the slim blond guy on reception who helped us a great deal 10/10, thanks Golden Lion.

If/when we go back to Hunstanton we will try to stay at Ellinbrook again. The North Norfolk coast really is a gem wuth some lovely little beach towns.

Great location near the beach and shops. We stayed in October and it was quiet even with the bar downstairs. Had dinner one evening in the bar and it was lovely, good value for money. Staff kindly let us keep our car parked at the hotel after checking out.
