Renowned for its stunning architecture and the world’s largest fair, Oktoberfest, Munich needs little introduction. Its vibrant cultural scene, great shopping and fantastic museums speak for themselves.
Munich has something for everyone: from historic palaces and castles, to stunning royal avenues to world class galleries and museums. Don't miss the new city hall, or Glockenspiel, in the heart of Marienplatz or the former residence of the Bavarian kings, the Residenz. Munich is also home to the world’s most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus.
For great shopping, Karlsplatz is a pedestrian zone which takes up much of the city centre and the upscale area around Maximilianstrasse is yet another commercial wonderland. Munich is famous for its food too, so make sure you try the local Weißwurst, Leberkässemmeln and other popular pork dishes.
Thanks to efficient S-Bahn train, getting to the city center from Germany’s second busiest airport, Munich International Airport is quick and easy. Whether you’re looking for luxury hotels, youth hostels or comfortable apartments, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Munich visit.
Munich has its own character and charm on its own!
Munich has its own character and charm on its own! Marienplatz and the shopping district would be a good place to start the attraction sightseeing. We love a place called Augustine Keller, a beer house that is located near Eden Hotel Wolffe and showcased the charm and rustic culture of Germany. Very nice place for dinner and drinks!

Beautiful city, historically amazing, friendly people; the hop on and off bus was worth it. Had a great time, my friends who recommended it were right As a vegetarian it was sometime a challenge. But the beer made up for it. Great time with family.

We stayed 4 days (3 nights) in Munich.
We stayed 4 days (3 nights) in Munich. It is very easy to get around in the town, the underground network is great, you can easily access any place. We visited Deutsches Museum and spent a whole day there: it was fascinating, however, 6 hours were only enough for a quick visit, you could spend a lot more time in there.
Next day we went to the FC Bayern München Museum and Stadium/Allianz Arena. The museum is interesting, you can walk around it in about 1.5-2 hours, there is a souvenir shop at the exit as well. It is worth booking a guided tour around the stadium, it is very enjoyable.

Great place to visit.
Great place to visit. Did Mike's Bike Tours - great way of seeing some of the city - leisurely pace. Went to Dachau with my teenage son - easy get there. Visited Marienplatz, climbed the church tower, had beer in the Hofbrauhaus. Englischgarten great for a visit - massive - surfers on the Eisbach river so impressive.
Public transport in the city is very good - easy to get around and cheap.
Would really recommend a visit to Munich.

Munich in March- still very busy!
Munich in March- still very busy! In some parts can be very seedy as with any city. Lots of beggars, barber shops and kebab shops with men gathered in doorways all smoking furiously. Beautiful architecture and this place is HUGE! 3 days was not nearly enough.

Munich has much more to offer than just downtown.
Munich has much more to offer than just downtown. All the areas around it are lovely and interesting. A lot of green areas and plenty of stuff to do. The public transport is very accesibile and not too crowded. Walking by the Isar river was a very nice experience that I recommend. Great asian restaurants. A lot of the service staff doesn’t speak english well but they manage just right. The Olympic park is also great and has a lot of areas where you can just relax and enjoy nature.
Staff was very kind and helpful. We had to stay an extra night due to German labor strike and they made it very easy for us. They also gave us recommendations for local restaurants and arranged an airport cab for us. They split out the invoice for us so we could file our separate insurance claims due twice cancelled flights. Very central location and was perfect for us to have 3 nights (1 bonus night) in Munich. Breakfast options were fabulous. Beautifully appointed hotel.
The hotel was lovely, staff efficient, bar/restaurant was really good and the food was lovely and reasonably priced.
I loved the music in the restaurant, we came in from our day out and the music made us come for a drink due to the atmosphere
Location was ok, so close to the underground which was a 15 min journey into the city centre you get on a aidenbachstraße and come off at Marienplatz and super cheap!
Also love the quirky lights in the lift
Everything was excellent. Great hotel, staff is so much friendly and helpful! Very comfortable rooms, even all small details are considered for the full comfort of guests. Breakfast is excellent, location is perfect and very close to the city center and main train station. Special thanks to Maria from reception, she was very helpful during our whole stay and helped us a lot to choose the best restaurants of town. Thank you, Arthotel Munich!
The only pleasant experience of our 4 night stay was a staff member my the name of Natalia who was always smiling and even took the time to remember my son’s name. Overall though the hotel was very disappointing. We unknowingly came during the opening weekend of Oktoberfest and spent $325 per night for a hotel that is worth $75, at best. The location is so far from Old Town Munich yet they still charge $19 per day for parking!
Our room was huge! The beds were comfy and it was very clean. It had plenty of free parking, a very nice bar and a restaurant that was part of the hotel. Although it is not in the city centre, it is conveniently located only a 5 minute walk from the tram into town. Getting to downtown Munich takes approximately 15 minutes by tram. Breakfast was incredible! Probably the best breakfast of any hotel that we’ve ever been to.
The location is 20 minutes walk from the old city centre. There are a lot of construction works around the hotel. We have a room on the 5th floor with the balcony and the garden view. It was good. No conditioner in the room, it was hot without it. But the price in comparison with the other hotels was fantastic, the parking as well. We paid for parking 10 Euro per night, it is the cheapest what we had found.
I stayed here when I arrived in Munich and the day before I left. This is an exceptional hotel. The staff is very friendly and explain everything thoroughly. The rooms are really cozy and warmly decorated. The breakfast is one of the best ever. Great variety of items with lots of fresh fruit, cereals, eggs. The location is an easy walk a few blocks from the train station. Highly recommend.
The room was very clean, comfortable, the bed and its pillows are much better than in many hotels I have visited. The location of the hotel is perfect, very close to the central station and very close to the city center. A few meters from the hotel there is a direct connection to public transportation, and you can get directly to the Messe Munich in about 30 minutes.
Highly recommended
Really nice hotel. Little bit far from city centre (you have to use bus and S-bahn, but that’s was fine). It was perfectly clean and comfortable. There was 24h bar, people on reception was friendly and smiling. Nice choice of food for breakfast. When I will be in Munich again, I would stay there again. Many thanks!
The staff members are very friendly and helpful. The location is good - within walking distance to the city centre and public transport - including a connection with the Munich airport. Lovely but tiny outdoor area - the opportunity to have breakfast in the garden. The internet was also very fast.
Nice comfortable bed and room. Very handy for railway station direct trains to airport and city centre also underground trains start here. Also REWE supermarket opposite and ALDI on the other side of the station. Had 2 nice evening meals in the hotel but did not have breakfast.
best hotel ( service , location , value of money) in Munich.
perfect location, near to Marienplatz, public car parking available in basement & 10 Meters away. free minibars. good staff. everything was perfect. definitely recommended and will comeback again.
Very friendly, and helpful, even if it was unrelated to the hotel stay. Very comfy, big bathroom, hot water kettle, mostly clean. Employees can communicate in many languages. Only about 40 minutes to an hour outside Munich city center via public transport!
the hotel is very clean and modern with a minimalistic design. if you're coming to Munich for medical reasons, it's very conveniently located close to various medical centres; however, it's pretty pricey for a 3-star hotel far away from the city centre
Great location on the edge of Munich City Centre with a nice walk through the English Garden to reach the centre. Parking is next to the hotel. We had a room looking out over the English Garden which was perfect and very quiet.
The location is grate , it is located near Munich main station.
The staff are so nice and cooperative, my respect to the manager he nicely responded to my request,
The Lufthansa bus to the airport is next to the hotel
Best Hotel I have ever stayed in Munich. Excellent staff, very professional and friendly. Room was amazing, clean and beds super comfortable. Very excellent breakfast. Absolutely brilliant.
Very good hotel and cheaper around city centre
I had to check out 11 morning to asked the guy im reception let me stay more hours i will pay he say seat and don’t pay and very friendly

Very modern hotel in an excellent location in Munich City Centre. Check in and out of the hotel was very smooth. Rooms were well equiped, nice bathrooms and very comfortable beds.
