Beautiful snorkelling and diving. Great small village with good family run Warungs, adequate shops and a decent road that’s quiet by Bali standards. Very friendly locals who arent too pushy like they are in the South.

Right place for adventure type of tourist as it's quite place. My fav place is Virgin Beach that has clean and white sand.
The minus thing is the transportation. No online gojek but you can rent bike for about IDR 60k /day

Brilliant place to learn to dive (61 dive shops), highly recommended Ocean Dive League very experienced, very supportive 5 stars definitely. Can do awesome dives, 2 shipwrecks, coral garden etc.
If you love luxury over character I don’t think this is a place for you.
Easy to do day trips and get a personal taxi driver. Food was good. Lots of fish and eggs! People extremely kind, helpful, accommodating. Not really a place to go clothes shopping.
Definitely would go there again.
Only negative thing, so much rubbish everywhere, on the beach, in the water, on the streets. Saw a washed up dead pig on the beach!!

I would suggest 2 nights 3 days max if you are not a diver.
I would suggest 2 nights 3 days max if you are not a diver. The group I was with just snorkeled and 3 days was ample. The Snorkling was amazing and free the best I have done in Bali without paying a fortune . The trip to Amed was a tour within itself seeing the different demographics of Bali , long but worth it. I would rather look at the mountains and villages from a car and take in scenery than sit in terminal, boat for 3 hours till snorkeling tour starts.

Best is the snorkeling, right off Jemeluk black sand beach.
Best is the snorkeling, right off Jemeluk black sand beach. IDR 50000 (AU$5) to hire snorkel gear for 24 hrs
Lots of diving /fishing opps. Don't go there for the shopping.
Less touristy than other Bali places. Also seemingly cheaper, ie from AU$35/night for aircon room on beach.
Great walks and great views.
Everywhere we ate was decent.
Cheap scooter hire.
This accommodation is exceptional for its location by the beach. After a few meters of swimming, you immediately see corals and many fish, turtles, and ninja shrimp under the water. You can snorkel all day and still see something new. The staff is very accommodating, friendly. The breakfasts are excellent. Beautiful clean pool. Beautiful tropical garden. The resort is small, but perfectly adequate. The journey from the hotel to Dempasar was also excellent. We had a stop at the rice fields. Beautiful Balinese nature in the rainy season.
- Location is perfect. Contrary to what booking indicates, there is not really a city centre in Amed. It is more of a long stretch along the coast. Bamboo Bali is right in the middle, and in front of the best snorkelling spots.
- Owner and staff were helpful, arranging transport from/to/within Amed. They also pointed us to a good diving school, helped us with the laundry, and rented snorkelling gear.
- Unlike some earlier reviews, the room was cleaned everyday.
- The Warung operated by Bamoo Bali at the beach is also pretty good.
Amed Beach Villa in Bali exceeded all expectations with its stunning volcano view, prime beachfront location, and easy access to local restaurants. The daily sunrise spectacle from the terrace was a true delight. With solid Wi-Fi and friendly, attentive staff, I felt at home during my stay. The enchanting atmosphere made it difficult to leave this beach retreat. I wholeheartedly recommend Amed Beach Villa for a perfect blend of natural beauty, comfort, and exceptional service. I can't wait to return!
This was a wonderful, very Balinese yet modern hotel. The staff were professional, helpful and kind. David, the owner, was very accessible online. The snorkelling right at the hotel (no need to bring your own equipment) was so much fun. A whole “Finding Nemo” experience right there, a few metres offshore. And finally, the photos cannot do justice to the magnificence of the view of Mt. Agung, especially at sunset. Thanks David, Made and the Team.
I really enjoyed staying at Wawa Wewe, the pool is great, the location is good within walking distance of quite a few good warungs and the bed was comfy. The air con in my room worked really well, I was there at peak wet season so I definitely needed it. The style of the grounds and rooms are what I think of when I think of Bali. Do not stay here if insects in the bathroom bother/worry you - it is open air so they will get in.
Breakfast was good, basic but what’s expected for a cheaper hotel stay.
Villa was great, location was ideal- close to sea and snorkelling spot
Staff were mixed. Wayan was wonderful . Sometimes rubbish left about / plays/ glass Mrs while staff were on their phones looking like they hadn’t got anything to do
Overall a really chilled out place that felt like the real Bali, and good value for money.
Esther and her team provided us excellent service! A clean and cozy place where we felt at home!! Esther helped us with all activities we wanted to do in Amed, like trekking and snorkelling. She also gave the chance to meet some local people and really see how local Balinese people live, that was really an out of the ordinary excursion!! We totally recommend this place.
how friendly the family were, the location is amazing - right across from the beach - best view from terrace, short walk to yoga &food - best fish and chips right there (sama sama), the breakfast is AMAZING with so many options included in your price, the beds were very comfy, cleaned daily. honestly one of my favorite places in bali, the accommodation and the village.
this place is incredible! the family that run the place are very kind, the rooms are all brand new and huge. comfiest beds ever, set in nice gardens and your set back away from the road ensuring a good nights sleep. breakfast banana pancakes, honey and fruit was the best. this is the best value property on Bali. book it - you won’t be disappointed.
Best place we visited in Bali. The location was just perfect in a more quiet area of Amed. Accommodation is nice and clean, but best of all it is really friendly and cosy! The host Kadek and his son are really nice people and we had a great time! They organised a local fishing trip and made bbq for us in the evening. Really recommend!
the location was not in the main amed beach. its very dark at night. The staff were "ok". The room was ok, but the bathroom was smelly. its like drain smell if you don't close the basin cover.
There is nothing to do there except for sleeping. There is nothing in the hotel restaurant except for breakfast.
Best breakfast in bali so far, with heaty portions and great choice. Beautiful villas with every detail covered eg even first aid kits. Private beach and shoreline snorkeling. Check out the Seaview waring restaurant 50m to the left amazing food. Lovely staff and exceptional service
Amed Stop Inn is a lovely family run hostel. It's on the main road, not far from a beautiful beach, and backs on rice fields with iconic views. The hosts are really welcoming and helpful. I wished we could have stayed more than one night. It's on my list to come back next time in Bali
the view is unbeatable! the family who run this home stay are very lovely and helpful. Amed is a beautiful place, must see Bali destination. Homestay very close to popular snorkeling and beech bars. best views in Bali
the property itself is very beautiful and unique. 400 meter above sea level in the mountains. nothing like that view in Bali we have seen this far as it is secluded and tucked away for a tranquil experience.
the property is really nice and cosy ,the rooms are big and spacious , over looking the best sandy beach in Amed , and the best part is the beach we saw turtles and snorkeled with it❤️
1. Nice host which helped me organize my days in amed and even book the ferry tickets boat for gili island and nusa penida with my return at bali mainland
2. Good breakfast
