San Sebastian is a famous beach resort in the north of Spain with picturesque coastline, vibrant nightlife and amazing Basque gastronomy.
Playa de la Concha is one of the world’s most popular city beaches, ideal for watersports lovers. Rent a surfboard on Zurriola beach or just relax on a cosy lounge chair under your umbrella.
Established as the culinary capital of Spain, San Sebastian features a variety of bars and restaurants serving delicious pintxos (Basque-style tapas), fresh seafood and fine wine. According to Spanish tradition, you should have one tapa and a wine in one bar, then move on to the next bar.

San Sebastian is really a great city for views: you have 2 mountains accessible on foot with great views on the bay (concha), the city and the ocean. There is also nice architecture (Art Nouveau), a great basque history/art museum (San Telmo) and a maritime museum with an aquarium.
And there is a great beach for surfing (Zurriola). So on the boulevards you can see side by side a surfer with surfboard and a very smartly dressed couple walking toward the Kuursaal.

Parks and beaches are beautiful.
Parks and beaches are beautiful. Food at some bars and restaurants is phenomenally good! I didn’t have time to visit museums, but I expect they are up to the quality of other aspects of public life. And people on the street and in the bars seemed to be enjoying themselves a lot. (Although everyone seems to love a holiday weekend.)

The city is pretty and clean.
The city is pretty and clean. The food is excellent and varied leaning heavily to sea food. It is easy enough to walk around, there is taxi service for some of the attractions not downtown e.g. the stadium. Let me say, however, it is not as inexpensive as other places in Spain. Food can be pricey, especially some of the sampling meals in the restaurants. My Spanish is pretty okay, but, believe me Basque is not at all similar, fortunately, most menus, etc. are written in Spanish, French and English as well. The people are friendly and will work with you.

Beautiful city with amazing beaches, charming architecture, tons of amazing spots for pintxos, and a laid-back vibe. Public buses worked fine and there were taxis readily available during the day, but it's small enough to walk almost anywhere.

Loved San Sebastian and will return.
Loved San Sebastian and will return. Apartment was really well placed for the beach - pity we didn't see there was beach chairs till we were packing to leave. Very spacious and airy and good for drying clothes in the little courtyard - could have done with having some info leaflets about SS. We took a boat to the island and the atmosphere there was amazing - I would definitely recommend!

Beautiful city beside spectacular beaches and scenery.
Beautiful city beside spectacular beaches and scenery. Great shopping, great food and friendly people. I could live there easily! It rains a little more there than other parts of Spain but there's so much going on it doesn't really matter. It's a place you can enjoy no matter the weather.
We had a very nice room for a one night stay while touring Northern Spain. We got a parking space across the road for our hire car and walked into town which took about 20 minutes. The hotel gave us advice on how to get back and we caught a bus which stopped very close by. The room was comfortable with large twin beds and a balcony. Breakfast was good and the service excellent. I even scrounged hot water and cups to make tea from the bar area when the hotel had run out of kettles to lend.
We loved staying in the lovely old building, much nicer than 4 star hotels, more a boutique hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. We were very lucky with the weather so could swim opposite the hotel. A beautiful walk in to the old town at night for tapas, with the see on our left and very attractive architecture to our right. We liked everything and will return.
It was in a great location, lovely cafés for breakfast/lunch also some nice boutiques around.
The location is good - the hotel is an easy half mile walk to the river and then into the Old Town, and is quite close to the main roads out of San Sebastian if driving. The hotel itself is very clean, quiet and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and the free coffee much loved. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location to explore San Sebastián on foot. It’s a historic hotel that is really well maintained and was a joy to be in at Christmas time.
We were in a petit double room with ocean view. Don’t be fooled by the word petit. It was a regular hotel room with a really nice bathroom. :-)
It was a lovely five night stay.
Central location beautiful views over the sea. Room was modern with very comfortable beds. Excellent service the staff were always smiling and eager to help. Breakfast was delicious and the welcome drink at the bar was a nice touch. Easy to get to anywhere in San Sebastián from the hotel.
Beautiful boutique hotel. Really on top of cleanliness and hand sanitizer could be found everywhere. We walked everywhere in San Sebastian from this somewhat quieter neighborhood. Lovely little pool area with fabulous views! 24/7 coffee and teas were a really nice touch.
Really well located boutique hotel located in the heart of the old town. A couple of minutes walk from the taxi rank - no issues walking to the hotel. Room was lovely and nicely decorated. We had a balcony lookiing out onto the church which was beautiful.
The hotel has a modern boutique feel with historic elements preserved of the convent and is near the water front and Amelia (2 Michelin Star). Great hotel and staff and will return when in San Sebastián. 12-15 min walking distance of everything.
The hotel is at very central location. Ideal for discovering the old town and other parts of San Sebastian. Parking place is also close to the hotel. The staff were helpful and kind. The room was not very spacious but had a very large bathroom.
Very good location close to main shopping area and only 10 minute walk San Sebastian's main beach Playa de la Concha. Clean spacious room and decent sized bathroom. Hotel staff very friendly and accomodating to our needs.
Everything was nice. New facilities, comfortable bedding, warm and cozy room. The hotel itself is very stylish. Breakfast also was nice. Location is very close to ocean and to the old town. We’ve enjoyed the stay.
The hotel is just perfect! -- Location, friendly staff, comfort, cleanliness, value for money, breakfast! They're the best and will definitely book the hotel again the next time I visit San Sebastian. :)
The breakfast was amazing, the best we have had in over 7 weeks of travel in 4 and 5 star hotels across Spain. Would have eaten at the restaurant at night as well if we hadn’t had other commitments.
The staff were exceptional. Very friendly and welcoming offering advice on things to do, places and restaurants to visit. The hotel was well located close to the old town, shopping and waterfront.
Great views from the hotel. Liked the walk into San Sebastian - Lasarmendi Bidea, Monte Igueldo and then down the funicular. Bus back is straightforward.
Beautiful boutique hotel on the less touristy side of San Sebastián. interesting art throughout and gorgeous vintage furniture. really comfortable bed!
