We visited Sausalito Sunday and Monday during spring break. Sausalito is full of live, people shopping, walking around. However, only after 11-12. In the morning everything is closed... no one on the streets. We were wondering where everyone was.

Wonderful place to stay!
Wonderful place to stay! Planned on going to the city however never got there. Spent a lot of time at Ft. Baker, another nice place!
Always go to Spinacker for dinner, really disappointing, like a cafeteria now. No intimate dining anymore, too congested and rush you in and out. sad

You must bring and prepare all your own meals. Be advised! Continental breakfast is falsely advertised. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Everyone I came in contact with was incredibly friendly. Vibe + energy was killer! Reasonable rates and clean rooms!

This small town will capture your heart and make you want to stay. We went to see what the Otis Redding song was about and could see straight away why the place was inspirational. The light changing over the San Francisco skyline at any time of day means you can get lost in the sunshine, dream on, and eat in the most idyllic settings. The ferry trip over via Triburon and Angel Island sets the scene and leads into a relaxing stay.

Very quaint relaxing, clean and a stark contrast to across the bay. Sausalito is an artsy town with lovely shops and easy access to the freeway Golden Gate bridge and the ferrys that will take you to San Francisco Oakland or Tiburon. There is not a bad view from the city.
A completely laid back and relaxing stay, woke up with the patio doors open overlooking the bay and stayed under the duvet for an extra half an hour just because we could. Parking was fine and a minutes walk from all of Sausalitos fine eateries and shops. The owner recommended Poggio Trattoria for a meal...it was amazing, we went there twice, and he even let me use his fridge in reception to cool a few beers to have on the patio before going out. Thanks for a great end to an emotional holiday.
The location was perfect. It was right by the Bay, where you could easily stroll and watch the sailboats and seals and feel the cool breeze. It was a stones throw from tons of restaurants, shops, and attractions--once we parked, we did not need to get in the car again. The hotel includes free parking in a lot near the hotel. The room was impeccable, and had such charm. We had one of the larger rooms within the turret and it felt like a little castle. I would definitely stay there again.
The young guy on reception was EXCELLENT! He couldn't do enough for us and was very helpful and polite. I felt very embarrased for him as he was trying to help us with what little he had available to him.
The towels in the bathroom were very soft and felt luxurious.
The hotel was very well placed for everything.
Robin.... The receptionist! Awesome customer service and so welcoming.. makes us feel like homie! She's so great with her customer service and very friendly ☺️ on the top! And I loved the room and the location and the street view! It was excellent trip at hotel sausilato!
Will surely visit again! Some day!
We enjoyed the historic aspect of the hotel and the historic location of it. Liked the proximity to the town's restaurants and shopping. Liked the energy of the town and walkability. Liked the window seating with nice view of bay and park.
Pretty tile and stained glass in bathroom.
The room for handicapped was excellent; much better equipped than similar rooms in more expensive hotels where I’ve stayed. It even includes a fold-down cedar bench in the walk-shower. The hotel also is a short and comfortable walk to shops and restaurants in downtown Sausalito.
The location was great; close to downtown San Francisco and Sausalito. Wonderful location to get a captivating view of Golden Gate Bridge. The Cavallo Point itself is a peaceful, scenic place. Great to stroll and get a good rest and still very close to every touristy places.
Quiet and clean rooms, very comfy bed, interesting historic property within walking distance of GG and quick drive into Sausalito. We staying in the newer facilities. Enjoying sitting on the large porch at reception area during happy hour.
We were very pleased to have a spotless, quiet room in the center of Sausalito with parking across the street for $20 for 24 hours with in and out privileges. We were checked in efficiently and happy with this property.
Great room overlooking the bay
Comfortable and spacious the bathroom was huge
Room was very clean which was nice
The hotel is well located with plenty of bars & restaurants nearby
Concierge / bell boys were great
The location of this hotel was its most valuable asset.
Carolina on reception desk was extremely helpful with parking and letting us book into our room very early (11am) for which we were very grateful.
The room was lovely and the staff were excellent! We could walk next door to shopping or across the street to restaurants. And Sausalito is such a quaint lovely town!
