The location is really great for anyone taking the greyhound bus. This is the only hotel or motel I've ever stayed in where they turned on the heat in the room before I got there. Well appreciated in that cool late winter weather. Especially notable: The manager emanated an almost spiritual dedication to his work, as if doing his job was a spiritual discipline. If everyone in society undertook their work in this manner we would live in a tremendous world.

We went there specifically so we could take our grand-children on the Skunk Train. It was fun but expensive $75.00 each for a 2 hour ( round trip ride) But it was fun for all of us. Got a luttle hot. No A/C on train. We loved the Singer. All staff in Skunk Train were very kind

Fun little town and a good place to stay overnight on the way to the Avenue of the Giants - Redwoods are absolutely amazing and a must see on your “bucket list!” The Lumberjack Restaurant across the street from the Best Western hotel made it easy to get a good meal. The couple that manages this hotel were very interesting to talk to and helpful!

We weren't there long enough to enjoy many of the amenities, other than the Skunk Train, which was very nice: a peaceful ride thru the redwoods, and the singing conductor Malakai was excellent. Donuts at Happy Doughnuts were good, as was dinner at El Chicano Restaurant. It's in the middle of the northern California Coastal Ranges, so plenty of outdoors and scenery. Traffic on 101 was light on a Tuesday/Wednesday visit. Old Town looked interesting.

It’s been quite a few years since I’ve been here.

It’s been quite a few years since I’ve been here. I didn’t remember it being so “Methy”. Lots of homeless wandering around and the Safeway parking lot was an open air drug market. I was stopped three times from my car to the front door being offered weed, speed, acid and mushrooms.

Willits is an interesting town and the start of the Redwood Highway. It is also the terminus of the Skunk Train. This is one of a number of interesting attractions near Willits. The nearby drive-though tree is not far away. This is a very pleasant park. The Avenue of the Redwoods is further north but worth the drive.

We just stayed the night.... (Sunday). Not many businesses open on Sunday. (Kinda refreshing knowing people still take time for themselves..that being said..). We found a Mexican Tanquira open and the food was amazing. The town seemed really nice. Great main street vibe and interesting store fronts.

Spotlessly clean. Good sized room with pleasant and functional furniture. Very nice and hard working family run operation takes pride of ownership. We sometimes stay in Ukiah but Willits is a smaller version of Ukiah and they have a few good places to eat too.
