I quiet and pleasant town. Perfect for day excursions to Zion or Bryce. There is easy to difficult hikes right in the area. Food was good. The hospitality is fantastic. My two favorites: Adria and Shannon from Adria's Restaurant.

Kanab is a nice little tourist town in a great location.
Kanab is a nice little tourist town in a great location. I've done three great guided hiking tours while here (Peekaboo slot canyon, South Coyote Butte, White Pocket) that I will never forget. Plus several wonderful national parks in the area. My complaint is a shortage of restaurants that serve breakfast. Also no bars, but alcohol is available in restaurants.

Two nights in Kanab was about right to sightsee local attractions like the sand dunes and hike to the dinosaur tracks. Convenient home base for adventures in Paris canyon and other outstanding landscapes.

We enjoyed the stay very much.
We enjoyed the stay very much. The location was perfect for accessing the National Parks. Enjoyed learning the history of the area and how many movies and TV shows were filmed there. The pictures of all the celebrities at the motel brought a lot of nostalgia to us. Not much open on Sunday, so plan accordingly.

This is the closest town to Zion National Park if you're...
This is the closest town to Zion National Park if you're coming from the east. It's got just barely what you need, a few grocery stores, a few restaurants, a few motels, but there's really nothing to do in the town, day or night. But it's only an hour from Zion and the motels in town aren't overpriced.
We decided for Kanab as our gateway to Bryce, Zion and GC North Rim. That being said we knew that we had to spend some time commuting but at the advantage of staying at a beautiful place for a couple of days. Cliffrose Cabin has all the amenities that you could ask for, the whirlpool was amazing, great barbecue and outdoor gas stove to do marshmallows. Kitchen fully equipped! Supermarket close by! Lee as the person to be actually present at the house was fast when we needed him (once)!
Very comfortable hotel room like cabins. 0 issues - Everything was clean, comfortable, and quiet! Wifi, hot water, bedding, eveverything worked perfectly and best of all- it's the quietest place you can ever stay as there's no one walking past your door at all hours of the night or making noise in the hall. You can park your car directly in front of your cabin which makes loading/unloading super easy, and it's just a really great place to stay with pets!
Basic hotel to crash for the night. The housekeeping services are terrible, we found a box of chicken meal in the refrigerator, when they cleaned our room they didn't replenish with any loo roll, coffee tea, etc. The breakfast was ok, they don't have anything non vegetarian so bring your own protein. Otherwise it's is a good place to stay, just don't expect exceptional services.
Wasn’t impressed with breakfast choices -we went somewhere else in town to eat breakfast -understand there is COVID guidelines but on this trip almost every hotel we have been in for last 20 days have had hot breakfast
Location was perfect for places we wanted to visit -and did several things that were available in Kanab
The perfect boutique style hotel with personal touch and service. The best place we stayed our entire trip. We love staying at places that are privately owned and understand their customers. The decor was amazing. They even left a personal note welcoming us with a weather report for the next day.
Breakfast was A+++ The lady who was in charge of breaky was on top of it! Kept food stocked and great coffee. Best free hotel breakfast I've had.
Staff was incredibly friendly. Especially Porter at front desk and breakfast host.
Hot tub is fantastic!
The first guy that checked us in, and the pressure of the shower were the best this hotel had to offer. The breakfast wasn't bad and the lady's that cooked it deserve a raise. They were exceptional and very kind.
This is an amazing place! I like to say it’s a pet hotel that is human friendly. If you have a pet, or even if you don’t, this is hands down the best place to stay in all of Southern Utah.
The best Old Fashion hotel I've been to love! The desk girl was very friendly and the buffet for free. It is recommended to spend a pleasant time as a family or a romantic time.
