High points: at the end of one of the two main roads you'll find Keys View. stunning view into the valley. We arrived about an hour before sunset and it the light was perfect! Take the Barkers Dam trail and on your way back head over to the petroglyphs. Continue on, around the rock face, and you'll find another amazing view of a valley full of Joshua trees.
Park staff were very friendly and helpful. Be forewarned, all toilet facilities are outhouses. They have them all over the park, but the ones at the campgrounds get heavier use.
We were there for two days and got to see the highlights. We went in early March and the weather was cool (68 deg) and sunny. Park wasn't too crowded. But we went on a Monday and Tuesday. It's easy striking distance from LA so beware of weekend crowds.

Beautiful scenery and places to hike in February and cooler times, but it would be too hot to hike in the prime of summer.
There should be some cafes or at least a couple simple restaurants in the park and there were none. There were barely enough vault toilets to accomodate all the visitors within the park, and they were sadly not very clean or pleasant.

This is a true wonder with fantastic sunset views over Coachella valley, and with stunning granite roc formations. Try it ideally outside of long weekends as this is a bit bothering to see more cars than trees 😀.

I loved all of the thrift stores and the outdoor market was wonderful too. Fantastic places to eat like Crossroads Cafe and see live music like Pappy and Harriet's. Fun sights to see like the crochet museum and art galleries throughout the town. Beautiful national park, absolutely gorgeous place to take photographs, especially at dusk when the silhouettes of the joshua trees stand out against the setting sun. Stargazing is mesmerizing in the park at night, but also very satisfying from anywhere in town. Easy to navigate and walk around town.

Star-gazing was great but the nights in November are cold , so bundle up.
Gloves and a hat would have helped. Go early in the day so there was no wait at the entrance to check in and get a pass beforehand. The views are amazing. Some trails are not marked very well, so it's easy to get lost, even on a mile easy hike. We got lost at Baker Dam and of course didn't bring everything you need on a hike, it was only 1 mile hike but turned into a 3 plus mile hike. November is a great time to go.

We spent 2 days there, but you could easily spend 3 - 4 if you wanted to visit all of the areas of the park. October was a great time to go as mid to high 20s so walking in the day was fine, though pack a light fleece if you want to do any stargazing.
We loved everything about Casa Luisa. Communications with Joel from the beginning of the reservation to the end of our stay were excellent. The location was perfect for accessing the West entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. The house itself was immaculate and so comfortable. Great beds, wonderful toiletries and the hot tub was a treat after days of hiking. So many nice and unique touches, like a lighted toilet bowl for nighttime use and a separate ice maker. We can't find fault with anything. Hope to stay again in the future.
The location was very quiet; so nice for a getaway stay for my BFF and me. The extra space in the living room made for a great place to do yoga and stretching (they even provided a couple yoga mats), as well as our evening dance floor. The beds were super comfy! They provided some sweet touches, including robes and fresh coffee beans from the Joshua Tree Coffee company with a few different brewing options. Sara was extremely responsive and kind.
I had the best time ever in this house, the energy it’s peaceful and it was exactly what we were looking for. The house have everything, a lot of little details that I loved, the owner is super nice and I definitely gonna come back in this house every time I will feel to go to Joshua tree. I def recommend this amazing place!!!!!! Thank you tween palm
Amazing place. The location was perfect, close to restaurants and shops and also close to Joshua tree's park entrance. We enjoyed the hot tub every night while stargazing. Plenty of natural light, big windows, comfortable beds. The host was amazing and very responsive. Any questions we had they answered promptly. Smooth check in and check out.
We stayed here 2 days/2 nights for our 2 day Visit to JTNP! Great location between the towns of Joshua Tree & 29 Palms. Hosts are friendly, efficient, & wonderful, & have done an excellent job with the facilities (all different kinds of accommodations for your stay too). Very peaceful & picturesque with beautiful stargazing.
A wonderful place to spend time in the desert. Beautiful property, felt like home. The decor and incredible garden were just fantastic. We had a wonderful stay, would definitely like to return. Pamela is a brilliant host, providing lots of information, helpful tips to fully appreciate the beautiful Joshua Tree.
Loved the hot tub, sauna, all the guide books, and great location between the main Yucca area and Joshua Tree National Park. The decor was so cute! The photos almost didn't do the place justice because it was so much more quaint and cozy than we thought! We will definitely be coming back again soon!
This home had a a great location in Joshua Tree, just off the main road into the National Park! We especially liked the container of filtered water in the frig and the ground coffee and French press. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with essential dishes and cookward.
Beautifully designed, spacious and comfortable property. Well located within easy reach of the shops and restaurants in Joshua Tree. Host communication was excellent. We enjoyed facilities such as the hot tub and record player. Kitchen was well set up with plenty of crockery etc.
Good size room, especially spacious bathroom. Very good lighting in room. Water pressure in shower was great. Table and chairs, microwave and fridge, adequate closet space. Location was only 5 miles from Joshua Tree National Park. Swimming pool and cable tv plus WiFi.
This place is just 5 minutes away from the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Therefore if you are planning to explore the park, this is just right perfect! Instructions to check in and check out were very straight forward to follow. You have enough privacy.
The house is absolutely perfect! Near Joshua Tree National Park, beautiful garden with wildlife (rabbits, californian quails and I even saw a hummingbird) and a hot tub. The house itself was very clean and comfortable. Excellent experience!
this villa has a very convenient location to get into Joshua Tree National Park, a few steps from Joshua Tree Visitor Center, there are many eateries and cafes nearby. The kitchen is quite complete with cooking utensils and dishes...
Just outside Joshua Tree park entrance, parking right in front of the room. Quiet, clean, room - despite the building obviously in need of renovation. Fridge and microwave and coffee machine in room. Very friendly owners.
The bungalow is a beautifully refurbished 1961 Frank Lloyd Wright style property set in a development of similar bungalows in Joshua Tree. It’s a stunning property in a fantastic location.
I really enjoyed my stay at Casa de Frank as it was in the centre of Joshua Tree and the house looked really great. I loved the cactuses around the house and the jacuzzi was amazing.
Great place to take city break. Amazing full sky of stars at night and great point to do some hikes at Joshua Tree.
We would like to come back in some near future ❤️
