It’s a quite Romanian town.
It’s a quite Romanian town. It’s like seeing England by leaving London you get to see more of the reality of the country. Beautiful country side and access to some great areas of beauty to walk in. Nice restaurants if you want to see Romanian go to a place like this not a major city which is just the same as home with a different language.

Small mountain town with kind people.
Small mountain town with kind people. Interesting places to visit for people interested in history. A health & wellness destination for people & children suffering from lung & respiratory system diseases or from weak immunity - the Salt mine is probably the biggest of its kind in Romania. I spent 4 h daily with my children underground and it really helped with their recovery. It is a smallish town so it’s easy to walk around on main streets.

We get a quiet room - on the opposite side of the main road. Good breakfast (includes just food, you must pay for the drink - strange :( We also ate dinner at the restaurant and the food and price was ok. The best of this hotel is located near the Saline Targu Ocna. I love this saline and it is much better than the saline in Turda (very quiet and with a few people - without a crowd of people).

We stayed with 2 families there so there is plenty of space for bigger families. I definitely recommend this place and will revert here once i travel to Tirgu Ocna.

They have a restaurant where you can eat breakfast and dinner. The food is tasty and prices are acceptable. It's a bit difficult if you speak English only, but personnel is trying to help you anyway.
