The staff at reception were welcoming and let us put our bottle of champagne in the bar fridge at reception while we waited for our room to be ready. The bottle was taken to our room and put into the fridge so it was already there when we got into the room a couple of hours later. There were lots of comfortable sofas to choose from downstairs while we waited for our room. The spa bath and fireplace room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The spa was a great way to relax. We had dinner elsewhere but when we were heading out that night, there was a pianist playing and it was a lovely atmosphere, with the fire burning too. There are some lovely old photographs on the walls, and the place has a lot of character. The next morning we enjoyed a really nice breakfast and the views across the valley were beautiful. And we really liked that check out was 11am ( though check in was from 3pm). We would definitely recommend and like to return.
This historic boutique hotel, in the heart of Katoomba-Blue Mountains, features 2 separate guest lounge areas, and a sauna. Complimentary WiFi is provided in all communal lounge areas.

Great hotel in the Blue Mountain area. Very charming with big rooms and bathroom.
Featuring original 1920s architecture and décor, this historic hotel is just a 15-minute walk from Katoomba’s scenic Echo Point Lookout and the world-famous Three Sisters.

Basic clean motel accommodation. Appreciated large fridge, microwave, electric kettle. Location was excellent for me as I like to walk in the mornings. Close to 3 Sisters and Echo Point. Also close to bus stop or 20 minute walk into town. Air condition / heat and even an electric blanket. Shower was great with lots of hot water.
On average, 3-star hotels in Katoomba cost $96 per night, and 4-star hotels in Katoomba are $117 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Katoomba can be found for $319 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
Direct train from Sydney. Very quaint traditional old mining town, old fashioned 'high street' with plenty of places to stay and eat. We stayed in the grand Carrington Hotel which has a lot of history as part of the evolution of the town. Our main reason for visiting was to easily access the Katoomba based hop-on/off bus to visit The Blue Mountains. This worked perfectly and as well as seeing Katoomba and the blue Mountains, we also got to visit the pretty neighbouring village of Leura which is included in the route. We felt we made a very good choice.

Katoomba has everything you will need or find in a regional town. The large supermarkets are available and open for longer hours for groceries (Aldi, Coles, Woolworths). The shops and restaurants close early, so check times and organise around that. There are limited number of restaurants and eateries in town. We ate at Rustico - this place is almost always full (even on weekdays) - best book ahead. We had one sunny day out of 3 days. Luckily that was enough to visit Scenic World, do the rides and walk around. We recommend taking the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus (hop-on hop-off) to minimise driving. There are many easy to medium walks along the clifftops.

The new Cliff Top walk to Wentworth Falls was excellent.
The new Cliff Top walk to Wentworth Falls was excellent. Just right level for me. It would be good if the shuttle buses went to Gordon Falls and Leura as I had to walk back along the roads a lot. Also access to the walk at Scenic World was closed, which was annoying as the walk is advertised to start there. It was Easter Sunday and very busy but this should have been made clear perhaps with signs at Katoomba Falls where the walk actually started from. I ate at 8 Things, great value and the RSL which was not so great. The Pool of Siloam is one of the best things in the mountains I discovered this weekend.

The town is lovely, great places to eat and drink, lots of attractions and view points, short drives to many other places. I really enjoyed it. One thing i would mention, as we were caught out with this, the whole town stops serving food at 8pm, so you do have to choose between watching the sunset and eating.

Too much wrong. Not even close to enough right.
Too much wrong. Not even close to enough right. Broken toilets, fans, lights, terrible seating, lack of outdoor furniture, cleanliness was atrocious, kitchen was filthy, bathrooms were filthy, parking was horrendous. No outdoor seating. Lack of care really by the responses of issues and never got the same person twice when contacting. Garden and outside area unkept, debris, boards with nails, garbage about. All and all....stay away!

Katoomba is a beautiful town with the obvious features of the Three Sisters but if you go for a day trip west towards Lithgow etc you can find quiet waterfalls and swimming holes all to yourself and more stunning views!
Staying at this hotel is like being wrapped in a cozy blanket of luxury, with views that could make even the most seasoned traveler pinch themselves just to check if it's real. The scenery outside the window is so stunning, it's like Mother Nature hired a personal decorator. And let's talk about the rooms - they're so lovely, I half expected them to tuck me in at night and read me a bedtime story. It's like sleeping in a cloud made of marshmallows and dreams.
We absolutely loved our stay at Rodova Cottage. It is so charming and well kept. Spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. Lovely bed linen, very well appointed stylish kitchen, generous tea, coffee etc.
So quiet and peaceful. Centrally located between Leura and Katoomba, a bit hilly to walk but an easy drive.
Rodova Cottage is a lovely place to stay and enjoy the beauty of the Blue Mountains.
We have stayed here several times and love the place.
It is very central in Katoomba and our room was spacious and well set up with a small kitchen ,iron etc.
This hotel is old and not greatly renovated but has lots of character. The bathroom is tired and needs renovation. This hotel is not for everyone but it is reasonably priced and meets our needs.
Great staff.
Comfortable and charming hotel in Katoomba. Great location near Echo Point. They kindly accommodated our request for ground floor rooms for my elderly parents and ourselves. Enjoyed the food and service at Lounge restaurant. Usually ample parking available for guests, both at open lots and underground garage (although both were full on Good Friday).
It was exactly what I needed and at a good price.
it is perfectly located in katoomba, on the main strip, but katoomba is a quiet place so it’s not loud.
easy walking to all the food/cute shops you need and also 20-30 minute walk to the three sisters and cascades (but I believe there is also a bus).
It is also very clean and comfortable.
Carrington is still a WOW hotel. The rooms are large, clean and have old world charm. But rooms downstairs however are amazing. The Grand Dining Room is something to behold. There is the bar area, the ballroom, the billiards room and the library. All rooms are just sumptuous. If you like Old World Charm, this is the hotel for you.
The house is elegant, cozy, and comfortable. The bed was wonderful and I slept like a baby. Far nicer than any hotel we have stayed at on our trip so far. The hosts were helpful and the breakfast was completely perfect. All details covered.
Comfortable hotel on the same road as Echo Point so its a 25 minute walk away. Katoomba RSL next door which is worth a visit for a lovely meal. 20 minutes walking for the train station downhill a slog going back up!!!!
Breakfast more than expected. Easy to navigate around Blue Mountains including Katoomba. Lovely rest areas throughout the hotel. Bar menu exciting. Location of hotel next door. Secure parking excelled.
Intentionally booked to be close to the Three Sisters for dusk and dawn and did not disappoint. A lovely hotel, generous and helpful staff. An easy bus connect from the main part of Katoomba.
Perfect central downtown Katoomba location. Hotel is very dated, but still clean enough. We had a view of the car park. But just fine to use as a base where we could explore the mountains.
Good location, I've stayed at a lot of hotels/motels in the area and this was the cleanest which was a tick in the right box. Now ive found this place I'll only stay here.
Breakfast was not possible in hotel because diningroom in renovation. The receptionist was very friendly and advise us a good italian restaurant in Katoomba.
Lovely 1900s style hotel with exceptional views of the valley beyond. Friendly, helpful staff. Central location to both Katoomba and Leura. Great breakfast!
