We needed to check-in as early as possible so we could attend a wedding. I'd emailed beforehand and the staff had gone out of their way to turn around our room so we could have access when we arrived. It was a large, well appointed room with an ensuite incorporating both a jacuzzi bath and an excellent powerful shower. It was clean and tidy, if a little care-worn, but the bed was exceptionally comfortable, with high thread count bedding and fluffy towels and they get my vote because a teapot was provided. ☺️

James the GM went out of his way to help us get to a wedding in time. Our taxi didn’t arrive so James did not hesitate to take us there which was so decent of him. We arrived 1 minute before the bride walked down the aisle!!

Clitheroe is a town full of interest to all those who wish to learn more about the industrial and social history of Lancashire valley mill towns. There are many old family businesses and shops, cafes and, of course, the fabulous Holmes Mill and its Bowland Bar and Brewery. A charming, thriving and most engaging town - with a castle!

Clitheroe is a lovely town with local shops, pubs and restaurants. The castle and its grounds are worth the climb up the hill. The town is a good base for exploring further afield.
For those with walking difficulties, you should be aware that Clitheroe is on a hill and the streets can be steep.
For those liking wine, there is an excellent wine shop D. Byrne & Co to explore.

Beautiful scenery, lovely hotel which was perfect for the wedding we was attending nearby. Downfall the taxi service we booked which we was quoted on the telephone for a journey which was so close by as £7 which when we arrived was charged £20 and £30 return before midnight.
Before arrival the host sent us over all the information we needed for checkin along with some parking tips which was very helpful on arrival to the town. The cottage was stunning and had a lovely home away from home feel with kitchen facilities (fresh bread, milk and eggs available for us). The location of the property was perfect for us, lots of local shops nearby as well as great parking facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again in the future.
The accommodation exceeded our expectations, the communication from the owner, the cleanliness and decor of the property, even the complimentary bottle of Prosecco, right down to the two lovely girls who came to clean the property at the end of our stay, great location for both Clitheroe and Whalley which was £10 in a local taxi, overall a fantastic stay, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property and look forward to staying again when we are next in the area.
A beautifully converted & tastefully restored old mill on a site incorporating Bowland Brewery's Holme Mill bar. The room was a good size with a very comfortable large bed. The shower room was great with a powerful shower & L'Occitane toiletries. If you want a comfortable base from which to explore the Ribble Valley the Spinning Block Hotel is ideal.
The accommodation was fantastic and really spacious. The location is perfect for getting away from it all but still close enough to town for meals out etc. The views are wonderful, albeit we didn't have great weather,, but still enjoyable sat snuggled up in front of the fire. Had every facility we needed for our short break.
The hotel staff were awesome, the music was sensational, the food was superb, the location was exceptional. Absolute perfection all around. They even allow dogs. We didn't have one, but it was nice to see people with pets in front of real fires. A must visit area for walking. Definitely highly recommended.
staff very friendly on welcome which was lovely. We didnt have much interaction with the facilities or rest of the hotel as we were attending a wedding so only used our room and left early the next morning so didn't have breakfast.
Private and spacious pad, ideally located for the centre of town, all amenities, and easy to get out into the beautiful surrounding countryside. The host/ owner Olivia was very helpful and communicative. Loved it!
We had a lovely warm Lancashire welcome. The accommodation is lovely and spacious, perfect for a large family. Lovely views and a short walk into the town centre. Highly recommended.
As it’s name suggests it was quite quirky? It was very clean and well set out. It was very handy for the centre of Clitheroe and we had no problems getting parked.
The views from the beer garden.
Rooms spacious & well equipped.
Clean, airy & very comfortable bed.
Great night sleep.
Full Lancashire brekkie was lovely ☺️
