With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.

Picturesque good value city with excellent public transport. Accommodation easy to find and good value, but of mixed quality. Transfer from airport cheap and easy using airport bus. No need for a taxi. Worth travelling further afield to places such as Lake Balaton. Must be one of the best value capital cities for food, drink and accommodation. Many great buildings and sights. Well worth visiting for a short city break or for longer.

Spacious, extremely clean, good WiFi, compromised with fully functional kitchen and large dinning area. Our kids really loved the living area where they spent a lot of time playing around.
