FAQs about hotels in Chicago

Our Kind of Town

Standing proud beside Lake Michigan, Chicago is down-to-earth, friendly, and full of culture. It has outdoor art by famous artists including Chagall and Picasso, and there are some fascinating architectural works from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Home to blues and house music, Chicago has an eclectic music scene that reflects its spirit. The Windy City is also a pioneer in a variety of Americanized dishes from it's European immigrant roots like deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog.

The world’s first skyscraper and Ferris wheel were erected in Chicago. The latter, on Navy Pier, is one of the Midwest’s most visited sights. Also famed is the ‘L’ transport system, whose raised trains circle The Loop, the main business district. Check out its skyline reflection in the shiny bean sculpture in huge Millennium Park.

Home of the Bulls and Bears, Chicago is a stronghold of sport and has teams playing baseball, basketball, American football and hockey, to name a few. If you get a chance, try to catch a game.

Chicago Midway and Chicago O’Hare Airport are both on the outskirts of this vast city, so make sure to leave enough time for travel from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or hostel. And all that jazz.

I love Chicago this is my second time visiting this year, I am thinking about visiting a third time with my children. So many places to visit as well as restaurants to explore. We mostly walked in Chicago unless it was further than 20 minute walk we took an Uber. My favorite restaurants are Mariscos El Puerto 2, El Che is an amazing steakhouse, Canton Regio was one of the BEST restaurants we tried on our last day there. We enjoyed drink at La Bodega Tacos & Tequila. The staff there was "AMAZING"

We went for a simple getaway, to shop and eat.

We went for a simple getaway, to shop and eat. We are big on food, so we visited many local restaurants for the authentic Chicago experience. There are great coffee places and pastry shops. Overall rating of the food would be 9/10. It is also a good idea to go watch a game of any of the great Chicago teams. We went for a Bulls game, however, I bet visiting Wrigley Field must have great atmosphere too! Chicago is a walkable city, we walked around 20 kilometers every day, and it didn't even feel like it. However, there is a very nice subway/train net, which gets you pretty much anywhere for very cheap.

Great price for the location. Read reviews before you book it to not be surprised. Room is small but big enough if you're just spending one or two nights in Chicago. It's very clean which is important to me. Had everything we needed. Staff was very helpful and nice. If you're driving there's a parking on the other side of the street. It says $57 for the night but ask staff at the hotel and they'll give you a discount so you'll pay only $30 per night/24 h which is a good deal for downtown Chicago...

We were visiting Chi town for the 1st time because of our sons football game..and we can’t wait to come back and stay longer to finish touring Chicago, so much to see. Anyways as far as the hotel, location is awesome..literally smack middle of downtown. There is a fire station on the corner so I’d definitely consider the noise if you’re a light sleeper. Other than that our room had a beautiful city view, was spacious and clean and the continental breakfast had good options. Would def stay again!

Room and view were awesome. Quietest room I've ever had - never heard another door close or neighboring room's conversation. Beds were extremely comfortable and we all slept very well. View on the 30th floor towards the water was beautiful. Perfect walking location to starting line of the Chicago Marathon. Food and drink selection was really good at the hotel. Great convenience store Bockwinkel's around the block for cheap meal options and to stock up on cheaper staples.

It was an amazing hotel. We booked it for 2 nights. Location is good, right on the magnificent miles. You can walk to almost all tourist places in downtown. Got several food options nearby. Staff was helpful . Rooms were spacious and clean. 360 observatory, oak st beach, ohio st beach, navy pier, the cloud gate, crown fountain were close. The boatrides and cruise rides could be taken easily too from chicago riverwalk. Loved the ambience. Overall a great stay.

Wonderful hotel. Chouldnt ask for a better location. My wife and I could walk to all the main spots downtown and a quick uber ride to neighborhoods. We stay on the city view side and it was beautiful view of downtown. The bar and lobby were a happening. Drinks, and food were expensive but was isn't in Chicago. Price wise was great, if your staying off season, I can't say in the summer. We would stay again for sure.

the location was great & the staff was exceptional. my only complaint would be the rooms were very cramped and the bathroom had almost zero lighting, no fan and a sliding door that was very hard to open and close. It was nothing that made that big of a difference overall. the staff made up for it. the hotel was updated and gorgeous! parking was much cheaper than downtown and only a 20 min drive to the city.
