Plenty of things to do. Be prepared to have good walking shoes !
Take an itinerary before you go as there is so much to see & do.
Cannabis now legalised which we didn’t like as it smelt so strong when walking about.
We found some people were quite rude especially venues like cafes, coffee shops & the airport.
Hotel staff all pleasant though.

It is busting, live and a somewhat untidy city. It is a must if you have never been there, not so much for the sightseeing but for the life of the city itself.
The Museums all very good and worth visiting, shopping, the park, broadway and many more

I always enjoy New York.
I always enjoy New York. I don't come as often as I did when I was growing up, but its always a pleasure. Nothing like grabbing a New York slice! It's easy to get around, if it were warm enough I would've walked everywhere, but I just did ride shares.

We were pleased with all at the hotel.
We were pleased with all at the hotel.
All of the scaffolding makes a trip now very disappointing from the stand point of aesthetics in the city. It had been a number of years since I had been there and that was not the issue it now is.

We felt safe walking about the City and there was a nice atmosphere. Food and drinks can be quite expensive but we were always able to get reasonably priced food. We loved the open spaces like the Hi Line park and little Island park and loved walking the Brooklyn bridge from the Brooklyn side. Brooklyn had a great vibe and was clean and modern and we got a great view of the Manhatton skyline when we walked over the bridge. Roosevelt Iskand is also worth exploring with the Lighthouse and sculptors of Nellie Bly. New York is easy to navigate on foot and also easy to use the subway. Public transport is not expensive and the public transport from the airports is great and easy to navigate.
Midtown of Manhattan, center of New York so very easy to get to either downtown (one world trade building, Wall Street, china town) or uptown (Empire State building, Times Square, Central Park). And of course subways or restaurants are at every corner.
Very nice and friendly staff.
The street is full of flowers and plants business so it is very clean and fresh. It is really the highlight of this hotel.
Parking for free (not at the same street) but the hotel will cover it.
Quiet compare with the other surrounding streets.
The best bed I've ever slept in (reclining bed, hello!) and good room facilities - good shower and liked the mood lighting behind the TV that you can change colour. For me, the location is perfect - easy walk to Times Square and nearby Penn Station makes getting to/from Newark, and around the city easy. The staff were all super friendly and helpful too! Overall would definitely stay again as for Manhattan, the location and quality of the room make this hotel definite good value in this expensive city.
This hotel was surprisingly very good and the staff were all very pleasant, proficient and accommodating. The room was clean, modern and very comfortable and breakfast was really one of the best I've eaten at any hotel chain - fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, meat and cheeses, bagels, bread etc. Lobby is a nice space to hang out in with TV and a bar area with complimentary tea/coffee all day long if you like. Conveniently located in midtown near Times Square. Highly recommend Pestana Hotel CR7.
You can’t deny the location is excellent if you want to be central and close to Times Square and all it’s activity. There are 100’s of restaurants within a few minutes of the hotel and the subway is just a short walk if you’re looking for adventure and being whisked around the city efficiently and cheaply.
Also within the hotel there are many original art deco features which is always nice to see if you like that kind of thing.
Safe and clean hotel in a safe location, excellent front desk and housekeeping service, and they got us connected with a great parking garage. Not exactly cheap (though we all know, nyc is an expensive city) and we had to walk a few blocks for the subway and the garage (but we all also know that nyc is pretty much a walking town), so no complaints and we will definitely stay here again.
The location was great - 5min away from Central Park and 10min away from Times Square!
The room was amazing - so big and comfortable.
The staff was very kind and friendly - the cleanliness was perfect, they change the towels every day!
Highly recommend!
It was our first time in New York but for sure this was the best option for hotel!
Thanks a lot to the staff!
My expectations were very low. This is by far the least expensive hotel available in New York City (at least a "regular" hotel - I knew there was a shared bathroom. It was clean and functional - and it was a regular toilet/bathroom - just not for my own private use. I was there for only a short night - and very pleased with what I got for my money.
Location is excellent for Manhattan trip. In a minute you are in Times Square and you can reach everywhere by subway. There are too many good food facilities and restaurants around the hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room is clean. Woodbury outlet that you should go. Central station is in walking distance, 8-10 minutes.
The locations is excellent close to Times Square, as well as all the facilities in the hotel! Room was nice and clean very conviene to have a kitchen! The breakfast is awesome succeeded my expectations!!! Would stay again definitively it is the best I had experienced in New York Manhattan!
The hotel was beautiful and the rooms perfect. The beds were very comfy, the shower amazing, the room was spotless, and the views of the city from your window were nice too. Hotel staff was lovely. Very easy to walk to midtown for a broadway show. Perfect location in Manhattan.
The staff were friendly, but not overly so. It’s one of the cleanest hotels I’ve been in in New York City and yet the price was reasonable. The location was fantastic. I did pay the extra amount for the city view and that was a nice luxury. I highly recommend it.
This is my second time staying at Arlo Midtown and it's just the best hotel! Staff are friendly and accommodating, rooms are clean, beds are comfy, and the value in New York City is unmatched. Location is extremely central for a quick trip.
Relative cheap for New York.
Location is good can walk to a lot of tourist spots such as Times Square, Broadway, parks and subway very easy to access.
Rooms are tiny but you’re not in New York to sit in your room.
Staff was very friendly. The hotel is located close to Times Square and Madison Square Garden and is great if you want to explore Manhattan. The Gym is also very well equipped! We really enjoyed the stay.
The location of the hotel is great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The size of our room was surprisingly large for New York City. The shower had plenty of hot water and great water pressure.
Great service. Although can’t call it cheap, but regarding New York prices, good value for money. Close to subway and can reach Times Square, Barclays Center and JFK with just one ride.
The hotel was in the center of Times square and gives you a chance to experience the city life of New York City. All the street foods, souvenir stores are within walking distance.
The location is good. Very close to Times Square. Walking distance to subways and Midtown sights. It's a good spot to locate yourself in Manhattan for a weekend away in the city.
One of the cheapest hotels we could find for 1 night, really close to Times Square and it was a very good value for money compared to other hotels in Manhattan.
