Best location in the historic center “Old Town” between 2 canals, 15 minutes walk from the train station and 20 minutes walk to the beach!
The owner and staff speak English and make great recommendations on food and activities. They helped carry my luggage up to the 4th floor for an amazing view of the commercial ships on the canal and Sottomarina area.
The room is very basic and a hard bed, but this is common in Italy. Great air conditioning, even with the humidity. I got my exercise up and down the steep stairs!

As per prior reviews our large room was clean and quite lovely. Air conditioning was appreciated especially when windows closed to efficiently block out street noise. Location near the center and bus stops was perfect. At the cafe next door we received a small but delicious breakfast- we especially appreciated the freshly squeezed orange juice. The manager is not on site much of the time- she was there each morning and on our arrival- we
messaged the expected time in advance. She was very pleasant and helpful, messaging us immediately via WhatsApp whenever we had a question.
Set in an early 19th-century building in the pretty Piazzetta Vigo square in Chioggia's historic center, the 4-star Hotel Grande Italia offers views of the Venetian Lagoon and free Wi-Fi.

Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast, but very good. Housekeeper was especially helpful. They let us keep luggage there after we checked out, and they even called a taxi for us.

Unbelievably close to Main Street and a plethora of cafes and sights. There are 5 flights and 4 floors to get to room with narrow steps with no elevator so just be informed.
The rooms are lovely. We had 2, 402 and 201. 402 was more spacious and could , if needed, accommodate an additional cot. Piccolo Venezia pays attention to detail!
If you’re staying in Chioggia, it’s a great place. It was a pre cruise stay for us. Even though the ship is less than a mile away, it was better to book a taxi. (Airline broke a wheel off my luggage!) Suzanna took care of this for us and made sure the taxi driver found us! ( narrow alleys often don’t permit large vehicles to fit!)
The right size for a week. The Thursday market is a must go.
The right size for a week. The Thursday market is a must go. Easy to get food. Nice beaches, although the see was a bit rough and not that clean for the second part of our trip.
There is a lot of small concerts and activities. Parking can get expensive, but you can leave your car towards edge of town for few euros. You don't need car around the town.

Chioggia is a place you discover and then come back again.
Chioggia is a place you discover and then come back again. Its generally only substitute of Venice globally but even better as 90% of people are local and prices are far less. One can take a boat ride to Venice if needed but there is a lot to explore in Chioggia and Sottomarina. Restaurants are a lot better then in Venice and at the canal. For info you can have 1 capucho and 1 expresso for 2.80e in Chioggia standard coffee place on main street.

We found Chioggia to be a clean and vibrant town, unfortunately we had to leave just before one of the local festivals was to take place, its not too crowded and very picturesque. Ideally situated if you wanted to visit Venice as its only a 1.5hr boat ride away.
Lots of restaurants a high percentage specialising, not surprisingly, in local caught fish.
Easily explored on foot or on a hire bike, the beach in Sottomarina is huge.

Chioggia is a beautiful historic (UNESCO) city - with all the charm and character of Venice but on a small scale and without the large crowds. A day out to Venice is easily done with a boat trip from Chioggia and the boat trip around Venice lagoon is definitely well worth the 10 euros.
Chioggia is ideal for holiday makers who want to avoid tourism hotspots and enjoy a romantic holiday with a warm/friendly atmosphere, well priced tasty food and genuine Italian hospitality.
Plenty to do and see and perfect for relaxing with an Aperol Spritz by the canals as folk promenade in the warm evening, tempered by a light sea breeze.

Chioggia is a beautiful coastal town located in the Venetian...
Chioggia is a beautiful coastal town located in the Venetian lagoon in Northern Italy. It is often referred to as "Little Venice" because of its canals and bridges, and it is known for its vibrant fishing industry, historic buildings, and delicious seafood cuisine.
One of the most striking features of Chioggia is its colorful and charming architecture. The town's narrow streets are lined with buildings painted in shades of pink, yellow, and blue, and many of the houses have ornate balconies and intricate facades. Visitors can stroll along the canal promenade, taking in the stunning views of the water and the historic buildings.
Another must-see attraction in Chioggia is its fish market, which is one of the largest and busiest in Italy. Visitors can watch fishermen unloading their catch of the day, and then browse the stalls selling an incredible variety of fresh seafood, including prawns, squid, clams, and mussels.
Foodies will also love Chioggia's restaurants, which offer delicious seafood dishes made with the freshest ingredients. Some popular local specialties include sarde in saor (sweet and sour sardines), risotto di gò (risotto with goby fish), and granseola (spider crab).
Overall, Chioggia is a wonderful destination for travelers who are looking for a unique and authentic Italian experience. Its stunning architecture, bustling fish market, and delicious seafood cuisine make it a must-visit destination for anyone visiting the Venetian lagoon

Chioggia is a perfect little getaway from the crowds in Venice. It has a similar feel to Venice with the canals and buildings, but it's not nearly as crowded and loud. The food is good, and the beach is very easy to access!
Best location in the historic center “Old Town” between 2 canals, 15 minutes walk from the train station and 20 minutes walk to the beach!

Beautiful setting and courtyard to sit and relax. The location was convenient and walking distance from restaurants and center. The room was lovely and private and very clean. The owner makes breakfast every morning and it was absolutely the most delicious cake, croissants, fruit ,yogurt ,coffee and eggs too. The owner was very pleasant and had helpful suggestions for restaurants and activities. I hope we get to come to Chioggia again and stay in the B&B La Corte.
Ricardo at check-in was excellent. We then had two days of just ok staff at the front desk.
We upgraded our room to a view of the Vigo Bridge so we could see the water. Much better room than the classic double looking onto an alley.
Hotel was convenient to the water /bus ferry to Venice, but it takes a full 1.5 hours to get to / from Venice each way. Hotel convenient to walk around Chioggia, but it’s a very small town.
Very new place, spacious , clean , decorated rooms with a very nice bathroom.
self served breakfast - very rich and satisfactory,
efficient staff whenever you needed them.
Location is great, also due to the small size of the peninsula. 2 minutes to Sotomarina's promenade and beaches, and a 10 min, walk to the ancient city of Chioggia.
We had a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful and charming B & B. The rooms are very comfortable, cozy and beautifully decorated, with a lot of love and care. Graziella and Umberto were the warmest and kindest people we encountered during our entire trip to Italy! We felt truly at home and will definitely visit again.!
We choose 2nd tome this hotel - it's situated perfectly to have a day excursion to Venice, but also in the center of "small Venice" : Chioggia. Its breakfast room provides a gorgeous view on laguna, boats and small marina. The breakfast is 1st class one , rooms are cosy and comforting.
What a wonderful bed! The mattress was really outstanding! The location is great, we needed covered parking, and found one nearby. Very well located. It is a simple, clean hotel, exactly as in the photos, perfectly met our expectations for a charming quick stop by in Chioggia.
Excellent location, great breakfast at the bar dowstairs, extremely quiet during the night (Chioggia isn't exactly known for its nightlife).
If you are looking for a spot to stay near to Venice (around 30mins by car), I would strongly suggest considering this hotel.
This hotel is a hidden gem--two entrances/exits to room: one into a courtyard, the other out next to a canal. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast delicious. One of our favorite places we stayed on our three-week adventure in Italy.
Best inexpensive hotel on my whole trip. With the low price, I was expecting much less. It's clean, perfectly located, friendly, and comfortable. A delight. I have no idea why it's so inexpensive. It's a really good hotel.
No breakfast included, but host was kind to arrange a moka machine for our coffee. Location good for family, kindness of hosts also after a misunderstanding in booking process they found however a good solution for us.
Very friendly host; great location near center of Chioggia, still within walking distance from beach; spacious apartment; comfortable, well equipped for up to six people and very clean; small balcony with nice view.
A terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, a bed and, of course, the owner of the apartment, who gave us all the information we needed.
The apartment is in the centre, Chioggia is a friendly town - highly recommended.
It is a small Hotel in the historical center of Chioggia. Yes, the hotel is aging and if you have a room on the 4th floor, the stairs are a challenge. But the view is great. The cleaning service came every day.
The host is super amazing. She is helpful, responded very fast to any messages and is a very friendly person. The room is very nice, modern and clean. We had a good time in Chioggia: 100% recommended!
Caldin's is a great hotel if you are on a budget which we are. If you want 5 Star Luxury then shell out and pay for it. This is a 1 Star hotel and it does the 1 Star thing really well.
The apartment is very near to the city center of Chioggia and near to the beach. The room is very clean and quiet. There is a very nice terrace outside.
Everything was great! Super helpfull oner, very clean and cosy appartment, location-old centre of Chioggia with chanal view. We would love to come back
