Santa Cristina, located in the heart of Val Gardene is a very good starting point for hikes, bike rides or just cruising in the Dolomites. I've been to quite a few places in the Alps, but I woudl say that the Dolomites beats them all.

It is a lovely town in the Dolomites, we choose to stay there as it was close to the area we wanted to ski. Unfortunately, as we went out of season most of the restaurants were closed, so we did not have the chance to try any. But as the town is located between Ortisei and Selva di Val Gardena, which are bigger places and close to Santa Christina, we had dinner there. Crossing the middle of the town there is an old tunnel in which some historical facts about the town are explained.

Santa Cristina is a very nice town for a skiing holiday. Seems to be a good mix of Italy and Tirol. Good food available everywhere but as well some tiroler apres ski! Town is a great base and good connection into the Dolomiti superski arena. Town has a few supermarkets, some nice restaurants and even a good place to do your daily afternoon Apres-Ski.

It's a beautiful ski area, but... Ski buses where not running any more so you had to get to the ski-lifts by car and the parking-lot was paying. Ski passes are expensive. The après-ski bar had a great disc-jockey and excellent ambiance.

Amazing landscape, beautiful scenery from wherever you stand! The restaurants offer delicious food but you have to book in advance otherwise you risk not to get a table. It is an elite location, not easily reachable by public transport. Very crowded but manageable. Buses (to ski slopes) don't follow the timetables though. They are always full, you stand mostly the whole way with the heavy ski boots. However all the area is really stunning! I loved every minute! I specially recommend the La Ciamin, Pizzeria Restaurant Bar in Wolkenstein. It is a family restaurant that work quickly, coordinated and offer delicious food!

Great views, beautiful architecture, great services. Not so many restaurants to chose from but we went to Ristorante La Posta and it was exquisite! Great food, service and atmosphere. The only thing I didn´t like much was the Saslong ski slope - it was too difficult for me personally but I believe for experienced skiers it must be great. I liked very much the Seceda slopes though - we spent there much time and we loved aprés Ski Cuca and Val d´Anna Hutte. We also did Sella Ronda circuit twice and it was very delightful!

The ski depot is equipped with heaters to keep your boots warm and dry every morning. The food in the hotel is excellent. Breakfast is varied, and dinner really meets the highest demands of hotel guests. The hotel staff is very friendly and ready to help at any time. The bartender is always smiling and does everything to make you feel nice and relaxing after returning from skiing (his cocktails are fantastic)!BratislavSerbia

Room was clean, large and a nice balcony view and a good shower (or bath if you wanted). But best for me was the service / host - besides always present when needed. Breakfast service was superb and some really nice wines and talks with other guests end of the evening in small “living room”. Not sure why but it just all felt good, as goes for the music the owner likes to listen to (softly in the background). Job well done!
