FAQs about hotels in Sorrento

Colorful and Captivating

Overlooking the Bay of Naples and mount Vesuvius, Sorrento is a colorful town in Campania. According to legend, it was the land of the sirens that had the power to enchant with their singing.

The town of Sorrento has gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque architecture, and a wide variety of restaurants, shops and cafés. Built around the 11th century, the Romanesque Cathedral of Sorrento is the city’s most important landmark. The charming Bell Tower with the beautiful majolica clock is the first thing you notice.

The picturesque harbor of Marina Grande has some of the best restaurants in the city. Wander around during sunset and you'll see fishermen cleaning their nets. Marina Piccola is the place to catch a ferry to Capri, Amalfi and Naples.

Born in a garden of lemon and oranges, the traditional yellow liquor limoncello is a unique aperitif or digestive drink. The mediterranean climate of Sorrento helps in the production of this famous refreshment.

Naples International Airport is located 3 miles from the Capodichino district of Naples and about 18 miles from Sorrento. You can stay in one of the Sorrento hotels, B&Bs and pensions with Booking.com.

Nice place but very expensive to dine out. Trains to Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Vesuvius are great. Very east, fairly frequent, reasonably priced. Bus to Amalfi from the bus station, also very reasonably priced . Absolutely amazing trip! Boat trip to Capri was very dear and not really worth it.

There were many places to visit while staying in Sorrento - Capri, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Amalfi, Positano. There are many buses, trains and ferries to travel on. There are a variety of bars, restaurants and gelato shops to enjoy as well as a variety of shops. There is a lift which you can use to get from the Port to the town as it is a steep climb.

    Quaint and lovely town!

Quaint and lovely town! Wonderful if you're looking to get away from the big cities, and spend time in a small town peppered with good food and a rustic atmosphere. I went at the start of spring, and the weather was delightful. Main town square can be crowded, but I found some very cute galleries and a photographer's studio in the back lanes. Easy to get to other parts of the region by bus and train. if you're into climbing, Punto Campanella has amazing views!

Sorrento is the perfect town to stay on the amalfi coastline . From here you can access the amalfi villages .in march however you have to use the bus only no ferry option . It was a worth travel ! The bus company runs frequently though you need to arrive 30-1hr before your planned departure to get a sit or even get on the bus .you might need to stand or wait for the next . Tickets are purchased in the cafe near trainstation . Buy return ticket too :) I had dinner at restaurane pizzeria S.Antonino.i highly recommend 👌🏾. I had a hard time finding nice bars though but a lady in my hostel said she was in a bar with love music .

The hotel was a nice surprise. Based on being 3 stars I was a pleasantly surprised at how good it was . The rooms were the most spacious we had in Italy. The bed was comfortable, the blockout shades were excellent and windows were sound proof. The location was close to centre but far enough away to be out of the busy streets of Sorrento. The rooms were exceptionally clean. Nice tiled floors. Good Airconditioning . The breakfast was good. The staff were pleasant. I highly recommend .

Amazing hotel, amazing staff, amazing food, amazing everything! Cannot wait to come back to visit Anna Belle Resort again soon. The comfortable, air-conditioned car waiting at the port started it off right, the grounds were beautiful, rooms beautiful, pool outstanding. It was the last stop on our Italy trip and it was the best way to end our adventure. I never wanted to leave and will absolutely return! The location of the property was great, only a short walk to the centre. There is a deli/convenience store below which is very handy. We would highly recommend getting a fresh made sandwich (great for bringing on a day trip to Amalfi/Positano, etc; ). The unit was spacious and clean, and a great price for Sorrento. They come by each day to remake the bed and change towels every two days (no where else we stayed in Italy did this for us, so this was a nice treat).

The staff at La Piazetta goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, comfortable and excited to be in Italy. Catarina was communicative since the moment I booked until the moment I left. We appreciate her always taking the time to give us detailed instructions and recommendations. In fact, she was so caring, I assumed she was the owner, but no, just an employee who takes pride in her job. We miss her and La Piazetta already!

Perfect location for us and the view is amazing! Marina di Puolo and Bagni Regina Giovanna were in walking distance and with s bus it was super easy to go to center of Sorrento. Near to the Hotel Dania was also a mini market with excellent paninis. We also got a room with a view even though we booked just normal economy room, that was nice. Best customer service we have got in Italy, Monica made us feel so welcome!

Fantastic experience. The staff were by far the best we’ve had on an extended holiday through Italy. The hotel isn’t walking distance to the city but the shuttle bus leaves and returns every hour. This was a good thing as it was quiet at night. The restaurant was so good that we ate there every night for 5 nights. The panoramic view was second to none. We would recommend it to anyone.
