We were pleasantly surprised at just how beautiful, modern, and exceptional our stay at Cortefreda was. Our room was spacious with a gorgeous bathroom, balcony, and even a sauna (which was a nice little surprise!) The breakfast was delicious and they served their locally made honey. The restaurant is also delicious and convenient. Staff was pleasant and the facilities were clean and functional. I'd definitely stay here again!

Comfortable, well equipped, very clean rooms. We all loved staying there. My daughter is already asking when we will go there again. And the restaurant: great Tuscany food. Florentine steak to die for. Katia and her team make you feel welcome. It was like a family reunion dinner. One thing though. If she says steak size enough for you, believe me you will want a bigger one even though you are fully stuffed.

This place was incredible. The property was beautiful and so well kept. The owner, Alex, could t have done more to make sure we were comfortable in our stay and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He was really friendly, great with our kids and made us feel like we were at home. The rooms were so well decorated, the beds comfy and Alex had great recommendations for exploring the area nearby. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back in an instant.

This is a great base for your Chianti Classico visit.
This is a great base for your Chianti Classico visit. Head out on windy roads with each drop and rise opening views of vineyards, olive groves and honey colored houses. Taste test to your heart’s content and head out early to catch dinner in a medieval hill top town. Or, you could settle down with a glass in hand and read through that pile of books you brought along! Eat at Bar el Poggio or the La Toppa Trattoria in the Main Street, both are great. Parking is 5 euros a day or free, depending when you get there (be early!).

Beautiful and quiet area that is a short 15-30 minute vespa/car ride away from many popular Tuscan towns and Chianti vineyards. Also the perfect spot to take day trips to either Florence, San Gimignano, or Siena (each 30-50 mins away).

This property was stunning.
This property was stunning. We loved the views and surrounding scenery. It was peaceful and beautiful and the perfect holiday and we would have liked to stay longer. The shops are within driving distance and easy to find with lots of local produce to try. We loved the walks around the property and scenery. It was picture perfect and had everything we needed. My kids loved the pool and wide open spaces to roam around. We felt like the only people there. We went on lots of walks and early morning runs. It was simply stunning.

Such a cute little town with friendly residents and a wonderful restaurant...La Vecchia Piazza. Low-key and casual, with the best pizza we've ever had. We also appreciated that they had a separate menu in English, though some of the translations were amusing. Given we don't speak any Italian, we have no room to judge! We sat outdoors and were surrounded by mainly locals and a big table of Germans and it was lively and breezy. On the second night we went, there was a street festival with food, booths selling their wares, and musicians. Most everyone spoke at least a little English, but we were all able to communicate just fine.

We returned with pleasure to this wonderful location. While a bit far from various tourist objectives, the central location made Lucca, Sienna, Firenze and similar just at a good reach time.
Nice large rooms, well fitted and with efficient air conditioning.
The staff was polite and helpful and made a good impression. Since we travelled with our cat, they made sure that everything will be fine with cleaning but also with the cat.
Travelling by car is the best option to fully enjoy the Tuscan beauties.
A wonderful place in the heart of Tuscany. Very calm and cozy place. Several clean rooms, a place to park and relax. The owner is very hospitable, he can tell you and recommend where to go for a walk. He gave the restaurant to Katya, who is a top chef, and the breakfast included with the night's stay is more than good. Within easy reach of many of Tuscany's famous attractions. Thanks for the hospitality, we will be back again. Greetings
Fabulous experience.
Great location in old town, spacious room onto small square hosting 2 restaurants.
Great location too for 1/ accessing towns like Firenze, Siena etc; and 2/ for running through countryside.
Breakfast excellent, food and superb location on roof terrace out back.
Hosts both first class.
San Donato a charming wee town. Locals, Bar Poggio, the butcher etc. And heap of history.
The facility is located in a small village in Tuscany, on a hill with a beautiful view. The distance to Florence is about 40 minutes. The host is very kind, always available for the needs of the guest. The room was clean and decorated in Tuscan style. Breakfast was varied and delicious. For those who want complete peace and quiet, this is a great place.
Very nice stay! Good location, breakfast and dinner were delicious, easy to find and easy access with the car. Wifi all around the location, in the rooms, at the pool... We also went to eat to Beatrice 's son and brother's restaurants (Barberino and Tavernelle) and both were very good!
Beautiful views from bedroom window and patio. Sunset view from just outside gate was spectacular. Easy to get to Siena and Florence for day trips. Very close grocery store and restaurants. Beds were very comfortable and the apartment is extremely nice. Easy to cook in the kitchen.
Great hotel for our one night stay. We can highly recommend it as it is right next to the highway and a great position to explore Florence and Chianti Area. Excellent breakfast and wonderful staff. We will be back for sure. Modern rooms and excellent restaurants nearby as well.
We had a great stay at Podere Vigliano! The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. The pool and apartment area was excellent. The host, Niccolo was very friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations for nearby wineries and restaurants. Highly recommended!
Very nice place and well equipped. There is everything you need even for longer stays. Big market and restaurants nearby. Nice garden. Amazing view. It was cold for pool during our stay. Close to Florence and Siena (and other small places in that area)
The breakfast was typical Italian breakfast for a B&B, with 1 plus, we were offered cheese omelette in addition to the normal offerings. Delicious!!! Also had dinner there one night which was very good.
The grounds are immaculate and the pool superb
The property is outstanding and the manager and team were very friendly and nothing was a problem. The manager directed us to all of the most outstanding towns and villages, with amazing restaurants for all budgets. We had the most relaxing time!
Excellent place at the edge of the small Toscana’s town. The multilevel traditional house with new and modern design. Big outside well-groomed private area and parking. Very-very friendly owners. We have to come back there ever.
The breakfast was a collection of local delicacies, including home made jam and freshly cooked scrambled egg. The coffee was the best we’ve had in Italy and sunsets from our balcony were heavenly!
Magnificent service from owner: due long flight delay he waited 3.5 hours for my arrival until long after midnight. A 5 star hotel would not provide such exceptional service and customer welcome.
What a great find. This place was beautiful and the staff was incredible. I would live to experience this property in the summer to enjoy the pool. Breakfast was great and parking was easy.
Susanna and Gergio have a beautiful, quiet and welcoming space from where our family could explore Tuscany.
Easy access to Florence, Sienna, San Gimignano, !Pisa..
