Great access to town and countryside. Tivoli has lots of character and amazing views, plenty of places to eat and shop, and to immerse yourself in true Italian culture.
I'd recommend the Villa d'Este and Villa Adriana (Hadrian's Villa), both of which can be done in one day, although allow more time for the latter, and bring a packed lunch as there are no catering facilities.

Tivoli is a great town outside of Rome.
Tivoli is a great town outside of Rome. If you are looking for old character, charm, and beautiful gardens, you have found your spot. Food was great at all locations. I would recommend spending a lot of time Villa di Este.

The park of Villa Gregoriana has stunning views of the waterfalls and is a must natural attraction when visiting Tivoli.
Villa D'Este is a magnificent example of the Italia Villas of the Renaissance, with its beautiful gardens and many fountains.
These two locations and the overall historical city area are easily reachable all within walking distance. The historic downtown also offer many eating alternatives.
Villa Adriana is one of the most majestic archeological sites of the Roman Empire, truly impressive in its scale and content.
Plan for a three nights stay in order to have two full days to visit the city.

Wonderful area to explore and use as a base to visit Rome.
Wonderful area to explore and use as a base to visit Rome. Fly into Ciampino. Public transport and parking is good. Prepare to walk up hill on occasions in town. Villa d'este well worth a visit BUT beware of payment on entry. (See Tip) Driving can be either exciting or challenging. Make sure if you go on the toll roads you understand how they work and how to pay. Local food is really reasonably priced if you choose well. "Botega del Grano" is an excellent choice in Tivoli.

Tivoli is a great location especially if you have previously visited Rome. It is much cheaper than Rome for food and drink and the quality of food is very good. For example we visited a restaurant in Rome for lunch - a restaurant we had previously visited - cost for lunchtime pasta for four with four beers and two Aperol Spritz 107 Euro's. Night time meal in Tivoli at a restaurant specializing in food from Tuscany for starters, meat main courses, six beers and 4 Aperol Spritz cost 117 Euro's.
Tivoli offers easy access to Rome via Train. To be honest having visited Rome before was disappointed with how expensive it has become, entry to alot of the venue's had massively increased in price and hour long queues. Also found the city very dirty.

If you like quaint rustic italy, this is for you, gorgeous scenery, lots to do but do homework first as if you do not have a car, the public transport needed a recky first. Not all cafes open on a Monday, but when they are the food is lovely and very reasonably priced. Taverna de Dracula is a must fir romanian cuisine
we had a fantastic stay at the villa di Bruto. the owners are very friendly and they gave us a tour through the garden where we could discover the ruins of the old senator villa. Very interesting!
our room was very clean, beautiful and had a fantastic view (we could also see the St. Peter from Vatican City).
You can also reach the old city of Tivoli within walking distance. Parking is for free on the property of the villa.
if you stay in Tivoli, we can highly recommend this hotel.
We had an excellent stay in the beautiful location of Tivoli old town.
We enjoy the apartment so much , it was perfect to rest after visiting Villa Adriana, Villa D'Este, Villa Gregoriana and also after long day trips to Roma.
Fantastic location for the vicinity to restaurants and shops.
Our hos has been very kind to us and helpful in several occasions.
I will recommend to stay in Casa Belvedere to anyone who is traveling to Roma, Tivoli and Castelli Romani.
Wonderfully welcome staff - and unexpectedly so for a hotel of this size, where sometimes the welcome leans too much towards 'stiff professionalism' than 'welcoming professionalism'. The dining staff was particularly nice; excellent English speaking waiter and a friendly younger woman who seemed to be shadowing him (possibly to learn the English phrases for certain things).
Great location right near Hadrian's villa.
Beyond my expactations! Nice and helpful owner, beautiful place with the terrace facing the square and church. do-it-yourself breakfast with all that may be needed (even prepared if you want cappuccino). Really quiet room in an old building made this stay the most comfortable one during the trip. Choose it if you want to feel the Tivoli vibe. PS check out the restaurant downstairs! Greetings to nonna! :)
Lorenzo was a great host, and provided plenty of info about Tivoli restaurants and locations. Check in was very efficient. Property located in a very central location with parking nearby. Parking voucher provided was very helpful. Breakfast vouchers for cafe next door worked well. Our room was beautiful with a comfortable large bed and lovely bathroom.
The staff made us feel welcome and at home. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The room was fantastic and very comfortable. We had a great breakfast each morning with lots of offerings. The interior courtyard was lovely and beautiful. The hotel is amazing and full of history in each corner. We will definitely stay here again!!
Everything!!! The host Alessandro is super nice, very attentive from booking until checking out. The place is in Medivial area, so romamtic. The room is perfect with all the lovely details, especially i loved the kitchen cabinet and the leisure place in the corner to relax. Will definetely visit agaim when in Tivoli
Carla was a wonderful host! We really enjoyed her and her extended family. They made our stay very pleasurable. Location was excellent for Hadrian's Villa and easy to actually drive into Tivoli in 15 mins from location. Lovely area and the family animals were a real plus! A really good restaurant very close too.
The Villa was beautiful. The rooms were somewhat basic, but comfortable. The location couldn't have been better. We walked into town for meals, and to see Villa D'Este. Hadrian's villa was a short car ride from the property. We highly recommend this property if you're visiting Tivoli.
Very clean and spacious appartment in the old Town of Tivoli. Appears to be recently renovated. Full kitchen with gas stove, oven, dishwasher, coffee machine and kettle. Washing machine is also available.
TV had access to Amazon Prime and login with your own Netflix account was possible.
very secluded in the countryside but a short taxi run into Tivoli, 30min train ride into Rome, excellently situated if you want to visit Rome but want to avoid the “in city” hotels (mega expensive) and relax after a hectic day by the magnificent pool.
Overall this is an exceptional place to stay in Tivoli. Simone and Rose were fantastic hosts and they meet everyone of our needs. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was great, and location was perfect for restaurants and stores.
A lovely place right in the centre of Tivoli, run by very nice hosts.
Furniture in a friendly, welcoming design.
Lot's of space, except maybe in the bathroom.
Very good location to discover Tivoli, big parking is close by
Amazing location to Parque Gregoriana and our host was incredible in providing directions and places to visit while we were in Tivoli. Will definitely return to the city and hope that this apartment is available!!!
Great location in a fab town full of history, character and welcome . Our hosts were most helpful and were on hand if we needed them. We loved our accommodation and everything about Tivoli
