Out of city centre, Enjoyed walking/running around the locality. Liked stopping for coffee at local boulangeries/ cafes. Don't forget it can be difficult to have coffee/snack/food outside of French eating times. On a positive note, most places are happy if you buy your coffee there & go to supermarket for croissants/cakes to have with it..
There are nice coffee shops & good value in Ecully close by. It has a village feel to it.

The reviews were already bad in Google with people describing incidents of smoke smelling bedsheets and the noise from the highway. So I was mentally prepared for the worst. The reality is not that bad. I would say the only pinch I felt was it was a motel rather than a hotel and the rooms are pretty small. Good for a 1 night stay or just to leave your stuff if you have a busy agenda in Lyon. The breakfast was very basic, with some pound cake, baguettes, yogurt, juice and coffee
The quality price is good for this hotel, clean and comfortable bed and good mattress, for this 3 stars definitely you cannot wait more, we had no breakfast included. A minus is the distance to the downtown, but the good point is the bus station is just in the front, that's good for the tourists. The staff was very helpful and really kind, I asked for some documents and they provided everything as requested!
Actually there is no real restaurant (as they claimed on paper). Except breakfast, all they have offered for a dinner is frozen pizza (halal) from the fridge. There are no restaurants in the neighbourhood either, so you would need to travel to the city. The hotel itself is requiring a decent renovation. Certainly not 4 stars but below 2 stars level.
It was a real studio - which is not easy to find in this area, most of the time you'll find hotels.
The studio had everything needed: a kitchen, kitchenware, comfy bed, nice bathroom.
The parking was very handy, and collecting the keys was very easy.
I also met the owners and they were super nice !
The host was lovely the part of the hotel we were staying in was freshly renovated it had good amenities and is located centrally enough. The main building and yard/garden is lovely and quiet. It has an almost fairytale like air to it. The pool was heated but still refreshing.
Staff was very friendly, check-in and out went very fast. When checking in, we could immediately reserve a table at the restaurant. Perfect hotel for stopping for one night on the road!
The room was value for money. I had a comfortable stay.
Although a little away from the city center, the hotel has great connections so it wasn't an issue at all.
